It seems unless you take the NDO you're unlikely to get a successful application. Can someone explain why a timely application after speaking to an agent, a extremely good credit history, full-time employment and a very good salary was not suitable to rent the property?After over a week of waiting and no communication, the application was rejected and the property remained available/advertised. As there is still no explanation for this, one can only presume that this is because if you don't take up the expensive NDO option and want to pay the deposit in full.....you're application will be rejected.

Having rented my apartment through Romans for several years, I have been very happy with their professional service and wrote a review which reflects that. Since then, I put the apartment on the market and am just about to complete on the sale. I recently realised that I had not downloaded my Statement Summary for the previous 2 tax years and so I requested copies from Donna-Marie Brant, my former rental agent. She replied immediately and not only sent me the information I required, but added in details for the current year. Excellent service as I have come to expect from Romans.

Would like to write a bit about Romans in Swindon (former Dewhurst). It is the 2nd time I'm renting with them, and both times the experience was second to none. Their processes are very well established, their staff are very knowledgeable and experienced, they respond immediately in case there's a problem and overall act very friendly towards you. Romans in Swindon seem to take care of our needs very efficiently and are the best real estate agency we have had experience with.

Barnaby Coles our sales agent has been fantastic throughout, a great support and an excellent communicator. Whilst being super accommodating and helpful, he has been a delight to have as a sales agent.Alison Savva, has been our shining light on the dark frustrating days with our solicitor. She has taken so much time out of her already busy schedule to help us push the exchange and completion through, provide advice on how to deal with the process as first time buyers. She has constantly gone above and beyond and believe we would not be in this position now if she had not been our move manager. Absolutely exemplary service that I cannot fault.

We rented a property through Romans, on a supposed "long term" lease. Having bought all new furniture, to fit the property, imagine our surprise when we received a "notice to leave" after only 10 months. STalking to neighbours later, we found out that none of the previous tenants had been there for more than 12 months.I reckon they just advertised it as a long term lease just to get someone in. Shabby treatment plus all the expense of having to move again!!

The process was not good. I have been a Romans client for over 7 years, with my property let through them, but selling was poor. The property was late going to market due to delays in getting pictures taken etc. The property was listed too high, (despite reservations from myself, and multiple times of asking if the price was realistic.). We had to drop the price twice, (both times at my request due to lack of viewings/offers). Romans staff changed mid-process with no explanation, I had to continually chase for clarity and next steps. Lifetime Legal had very poor communication, especially early on, with me having to call and email to chase and find what’s happening. Romans selling didn’t seem to communicate with lettings, and I had to inform my letting agent that the property was being sold, and ask to give notice to the tenants. A completion date of April 8th was requested and agreed to by me, and then missed, with no explanation and no one even responding to my emails on the day! A new completion date of April 19th was suggested, but with me at the end of my tether, and seriously suggesting that I would just pull out of the sale and go with a different agents/solicitors, we finally competed on April 14th. It’s a shame after having used Romans as my letting agents for so long, but I wouldn’t use Romans (or Lifetime Legal) again.Update: it gets worse! Almost a week after completing, I have Prosperity Law (who were assigned via Lifetime Legal), asking me to pay them back £400+ for a bill which is from the buyer’s solicitors, and the we already discussed was for information only and not part of my statement of account. These people don’t know what they’re doing!

GoogleWe have just used Romans to sell my mothers property , from our first meeting with Grace and Paul, we have been impressed by the professionalism and hard work of all the Staff, Grace, Ellie and Sue got over 30 viewings which was amazing, once offers we made, Romans advised on which offer was most suitable, once we accepted an offer, Paul and then Natalie have kept us up to date with progress. The whole team has made selling the house straightforward, and we would not hesitate in recommending them to anybody looking to sell.
