GoogleI don't usually post reviews, but have felt compelled in this instance. I have been using Kat at the Guildford branch of Curchods to sell my house and buy a new home. She has been amazing throughout the whole process. Which was very stressful for various reasons at times. She put the other Estate Agents in the process to shame with her clear and timely communications and she has literally kept our chain together more than once! I highly recommend using her and the team in Guildford.

GoogleIn summary, my house moving journey has been a long one and I might well have given up if it wasn’t for Curchods! I can highly recommend Jessica and Kat who have been super proactive and always advocating for me and my buyer throughout the chain. 😊 Initially I had months of no offers and barely any viewings trying to sell my place with another estate agent, but once I moved to Curchods it only took a couple of months to get a full asking price offer. They were honest with me that my initial price was too high for the market and gave sound advice which got lots more potential buyers through the door. James got me loads of viewings back-to-back on one Saturday morning resulting in offer number 1. 🥳 Kat was then excellent at keeping my buyers from pulling out at various points as they were in a rush to move and had to wait for me to find somewhere to buy and then for a completed chain. Sadly, as I ended up with quite a long chain, I did eventually lose my buyers after about 4 months. This is when Jessica stepped in, finding me a new buyer within 2 weeks! 😅 My new buyer only took 2 months to be ready to move and Jessica was then tirelessly on the phone ringing up and down the chain to chase the slow movers at the top of the chain. Without her, it would have all gone on for even longer, but finally we exchanged this week and the journey is nearly over (one year from initially putting my place on the market and 8 months with Curchods). 🥳 Thank you Curchods! I am really excited to be finally moving 😊

GoogleOutstanding Service from Maddie Saltmer at James Wynn Estate Agents I feel compelled to share my exceptional experience with Maddie Saltmer at James Wynn Estate Agents in Northallerton. She is an absolute credit to the company and exemplifies what outstanding customer service truly means. When disaster struck on Christmas Eve at 10:30pm, our boiler catastrophically failed and began leaking through the kitchen ceiling, Maddie's response was nothing short of remarkable. Despite being at home with her family on Christmas Eve, she immediately replied to my email and personally called to discuss the emergency. Understanding the urgency and potential for serious property damage, she went above and beyond by attending the property with her partner that very evening to stop the leak. Within just three days, we had a brand new boiler fully installed, an incredibly swift turnaround, especially considering the timing over the Christmas period. Having lived at this property for over eight years, I can honestly say I've never experienced such rapid, efficient, and genuinely caring service for a repair issue. Maddie's professionalism, dedication, and willingness to go the extra mile during what should have been her personal time has left a lasting impression on both my fiancée and myself. We are immensely grateful to Maddie and cannot recommend her highly enough. She is a true asset to James Wynn Estate Agents.

They remained professional, responsive, and supportive from start to finish, even after several unsuccessful sales. Kat was very genuine and like a fresh breath of Air, told me the information I required. She also sounded very genuine and caring and very polite. I'm lost for words. She was so genuinely nice that I just cannot put it into words really. She expressed genuine interest in my enquiry and also gave me proper answers that were straight and true. GoogleBank linking failed due to malformed URL. Clearly a product that has not been through stringent testing and relies on developers who can barely connect lego bricks together. Support was non-existent as the error I encounter clearly does not exist in their support FAQ with no way to actually communicate with a human. Support email replies from a human I assume although the English used clearly indicates someone that does not use it as their primary language. Either a bad day at google translate or someone that is not fit for the role on front line communication. Ultimately, would you trust an 'app' with all your financial and person details that has clearly never been tested thoroughly and lacks technical support when required? I do not!

GoogleAll was going well until I allowed connection to my bank. I then found out that the system would not allow me to rescind this authority. The reason I was rescinding this link was because the bank advised that I should not use it if I did online banking. One thing that would help in using this software would be a short description of the information that would be requested (before you start using the portal) and the different forms that are an acceptable way to give this information. (i.e The information that will be requested falls into 4 main areas.......You will be asked for .......... you can authorise to use a direct connection online to bank but you dont need to do this.....you can provide bank statements instead. I still do not know if I needed to provide statements of all accounts with funds to make purchase? because it would only let me upload one. We use this information to.........

GoogleWe sold our house with Curchods in spring 2025. They have been most responsive, prompt and communicative. Small examples - when a buyer pulled out very early in the first week on the market they immediately ramped interest up and got us a new buyer who then stuck. They organised very nice photos and were happy to redo them as the season turned and lights/garden looked different to refresh the listing. They were open about marketing strategy and communicative. Robbie Barklem particularly has been excellent.
