Henry Synge and his team in RBKC were a pleasure to deal with. They acted in a professional and polite manner and I had a realistic offer accepted after a few weeks of negotiations.The vendor was maladroit and unrefined; yet Henry still maintained excellent communications with the different parties involved and he managed to get the contracts done. Finally, as a foreign buyer, caveat emptor applies in RBKC. It's nowhere near as nice as LA- Beverly Hills or NY-Upper East Side (yet the prices in RBKC are higher per sq ft). It's a very complicated area and in my honest opinion, there are only a handful of garden squares or roads that are worth it.

Thomas Syms saved my purchase

Agreed purchase at a price we were really happy with but mortgage market going crazy caused us huge delays with our mortgage. The vendor previously listed dual agent and the other agent kept following up, despite being under offer, and us doing all we can to proceed as fast as possible. Without Thomas’ great levels of communication we could have lost the sale, very grateful for his assistance and will stay in touch with him long term.

I would not recommend this renting agency to anyone. My experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. They are charging outrageous amounts for rent, far more than the property is worth, and they have been completely unresponsive when I’ve tried to get clarity on why the costs are so high.On top of that, they’ve held my full deposit without any valid explanation and refused to communicate properly. Getting in touch with them is almost impossible, and they never arrange meetings with the landlord, even when it's necessary. Overall, this agency is unprofessional, overcharges, and lacks basic customer service. Avoid at all costs!

DISAPPOINTING overall!I have to say, always had a pleasant experience with the agents, they do take their time for you and they are committed to their work.Unfortunately I can't say the same about the propriety management team whom I have struggled with since the beginning, they mostly act in behalf of the landlord and they would rip you off whenever they can.I left my old propriety (rented through WW) on the 31st of May 2022 and legally they have 14 days to agree on your deposit refund. We are now 25 days later and I have to chase them so they can chase the landlord.My fault is that I am unable to obtain a council tax bill online so H&F have sent me one by post which should be received within the next 10 working days. Even if I have provided bank receipts (actual invoices where you can see all the details), they are refusing to accept this, perhaps a way to buy even more time with the deposit.From my very own experience and with this honest review, I am asking you to avoid renting via Winkworth if your propriety will be managed by their team, it's a STRUGGLE!AN

Agents are rude

An agent named Beth at Winkworth was extremely rude to my partner and I about a possible viewing. We both work full-time and are unable to attend viewings during the day, and as my partner started to explain this to her - she said "okay, bye" and hung up. A separate agent at the Kensal & Queens Park office refused to answer my questions about prerequesites regarding our employment. It is confusing when most homes the agency offers requires a certain income but then refuses to deal with those who can't attend viewings during normal 9-5 working hours.

Horrible!They do not deserve this star...but I have to put somethingHorrible from the start to the end. Kept us blocked in a transaction for 9 months. They do not care at all for the buyers, not even for their sellers. They will not put any effort in helping or quite during the transaction. Extremely bad customer service!The solicitors that they recommend (Ledenhall law) expensive and unprofessional. They will never reply to updates request, and if they do,they will do it in an unprofessional and extremely rude manner, not what you will expect from a solicitor.I will never ever in my life want to hear from them again. Winkworth Greenwich stands out as a quality organisation in a marketplace littered with insincerity and unprofessionalism. From start to finish Nick Kirby and Brooke Chambers along with the team put an incredible about of work into both locating an appropriate property, negotiating with the landlord and finalising the contracts. It is vital to note that the turnaround time sourced was incredible. Candidly I was somewhat stressed by our previous landlord and as such put quite a lot of pressure on both Nick and Brooke. Their response was like nothing I have ever seen, both a calming presence with constant updates, as well as a professional estimate on when the transaction would complete. The estimate was not only perfectly on time but virtually faultless. Throughout the process I was kept updated and informed, any potential issues were flagged to ensure total transparency, it was an incredibly stressful situation which would have been four times worse had it not been for Nick & Brooke. Sometimes when dealing with larger organisations there is a lost sense of commitment, or a lot more ‘red tape’ which can lead both to long lead times and disappointment. That is not the case with Winkworth Greenwich, each person I encountered obviously went above and I have every confidence I am not a special case, they bring this drive and professionalism to every individual who pass through their doors. Never has 5 stars been more justified than in the case of Nick, Brooke and the entire team in Winkworth.

Disappointing service

Good service while we were looking for somewhere to rent but has got a lot worse since we moved in. Their management company had ignored a number of our requests, including removing old furniture and having the property professionally cleaned. We have also found that a number of the appliances do not work. This would definitely put me off using them again.

Unprofessional letting agents with terrible customer service.

Unfortunately I was met with unprofessional letting agents showing me flats that did not meet the requirements sent out to them, while being dishonest about it being the case. Only found out the flat did not meet the requirements after signing the contract. Was forced to pay a hefty price to purchase the required amenities, a minor percentage of which I asked from Winkworth as compensation. They reluctantly agreed to pay, after more than a month of emailing and only after forcing them with an official complaint. Would definitely not recommend under any circumstances - really untrustworthy with terrible customer service.

Highly recommend using Winkworths Greenwich if buying / selling in the area. I've just moved into a new property thanks to them, and like any property buying these days, it was not smooth sailing. But they were helpful, responsive, thorough and proactive throughout. Would like to call out Gillian and Guy in particular as that's who I dealt with from end to end. We decided to use Winkworth Greenwich to sell our 1 bed duplex, after obtaining the quotations from four agents. From the very beginning, Guy Epps the branch manager spent quite a lot of time explaining to us how the chain selling and buying process works. As a first time seller, his advice did help a lot. His sales negotiation team Nick and Lawrence also did a great job. They found a good buyer offering us full asking price within 3 days. Guy then personally followed up the whole selling process. He communicated with all parties and gave us a frequent update. Our property was finally exchanged last week and will be completing next week. We would have given Winkworth 5 stars if they could have improved their marketing 'brochure' for our property, although it didn't seem to affect the sale. Thank you Gup, Nick, Lawrence and the rest of the team! Good job.

A predatory scam. Do not use if a student or young.

AVOID WINKWORTH. I am still annoyed months after moving out. I was in a rolling contract, paid up my last month and moved out with plenty of notice - all fine. Out of the blue they then tried to hold me against a contract I never signed/didn't exist and though I agreed to pay if they could present one (said several times) they refused to present one despite hilariously agreeing at the start one could not be found. This went on for several weeks with back and forth phone calls and emails that went round in circles just pushing for me to pay a further 6 months I was never signed to. My mum's partner called in once. Said exact same thing id said. Phone call lasted 5 minutes. And they dropped it, apologised through him and he sent on the message to me that it would be dropped. I was livid. It felt not only predatory and an utter violation but it felt misogynistic on top of it. I am a Senior in my own job so understand associates have rules and policies to follow (and approached Winkworth also how I like to be approached with such complaints) but they completely made things up as they went along, changing stories over and over to try and get me to pay whilst refusing to provide a signed document to say so.Before moving in my friend told me her Winkworth experience which was very similar. I wish I had listened. This is clearly something they have done before and will probably do again in the hopes someone new to renting will just pay out. Vile.
