I would be cautious for anyone considering this estate agent, it has a very money driven and soulless feel. If you do, have it in mind that this is a business and that empathy and humane treatment is likely secondary to money and those who primarily drive their revenue (landlords). Some examples that led to this conclusion? When we were facing potential homelessness due to their archaic and illogical processes to rent a home, we were told “we are impacted on ourselves as now we have to put another ad out”. Keep in mind, they used a ridiculous referencing company (lettinghub), they offered outrageous renting terms that hugely disfavour tenant’s and then moaned about having to put another ad out. We were also told by a manager there “I promise you, we will absolutely help you find another place on time”. This was not followed through. They cost us an extra £2000 due to their time eating processes. Thankfully we had experience with another estate agent and got things sorted exactly how we thought things should have been in the first first place, within a week. The issue here was surely not us. A message for staff? Please treat others how you’d like to be treated. This is often said as it can act as a great safeguard for humanity. I think integrity should be a thing we all strive for, even with the ups and downs of life. Something that feels lacking at Conran.

I am a first time buyer and Abbie Kendall is the person who helps me with the house purchase. Abbie is very friendly and was always very quick to respond to any quearies I had. I absolutely appreciate that Abbie was very specific towards the timelines I should expect within that purchase and set my expectations straight, which for me was extremely important. I am still finalising the purchase, however I feel pretty confident with Abbie, that she will contact me straight away if there will be any delay and will do her very best to sort out any obstacles that may come our way. I believe Abbie is a trainee and I do feel she is putting extra effort to do everything right and goes extra mile to do her job well, very often people with loads experience lacking that enthusiastic attitude and to deal with Abbie is like a breath of fresh air. I mainly dealt just with Abbie, however few times when she was not available and I had to speak with other staff member, I found all of them very friendly and supportive. I would go ahead with the agency without any doubt :)

All good, and this is why: All the while I was doing my flat up to sell, Michael at Charlton office was happy to pop in and advise. I put it on the market, and straight away had two viewings and an offer. I pulled out for personal reasons, but when they put it up again, they immediately found a buyer. Throughout the process, if I needed to just talk through things I did not understand, I could pick up the phone and ask daft questions, and they always helpful. One agent helped with a second visit from a buyer, and he was able to knowledgeably answer all sorts of questions that I could not (e.g. the buyer's finance, leasehold etc. For the sake of contrast, I am now buying and find the bigger agents seem permenantly in a rush. In reflection, it seems to me that their Charlton office is a case of "Small is beautiful'. To sum up, they looked out for my interest :-) PS/ When a storm blew the For Sale sign down to half mast, they must have seen it because it was quickly made good again. I call that 'professional attention to detail'.

This is the first time while I have gone through an agency to rent out a house in UK. Conran did made a smooth ride for me. Robert in particular went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed. Since I am the first timer he listened to my problem , questions and concern and did addressed them patiently and effectively . I mainly dealt with Rob, however few times when he was not available and I had to speak with other staff member, I found all of them very friendly and supportive. Thank you Conran for all the help. I bought my first property through Michael John at Conran and at the time they were the first, and only agent in the area that didn’t look down their nose at me and my nominal first-time budget. They are friendly and realistic. I’ve subsequently rented out that property through them and purchased a second. Michael and the team offer a fantastic service - quick to respond to queries both inside and outside of the remit of being an agent! We instructed Conran to sell our property in Plumstead SE18. The initial meeting with the team went well and they were in regular contact at the beginning of the process. Admittedly, Conran did manage to get regular viewings at our property. However, towards the end of their contracted time, communication became an issue. Emails and text messages were missed which prevented viewings from taking place. We ended up carrying out a viewing ourselves, two days after my wife had given birth, as Conran had cancelled it despite multiple messages to them to go ahead. Thankfully we did, as these viewers eventually bought the property. I found there was a real lack of communication during the sale process. No phone calls were made or voicemails left until the day of completion. However, communication has since improved as the fee is now due to be paid.. Discussions have been had with Conran regarding the service we received. However, they attempt to defend their actions instead of acknowledging their mistakes. Overall, disappointed with the service provided considering the amount Conran are paid.
