GoogleMy brother bought a house in Gorleston and the handover of the property's been a complete mess. Minors & Brady didn't take any responsibilities of the property handover. They advised us that the handover date will be 26th and based on their confirmation we arranged relocation service and packed our stuff to move in on 29th. Then they informed again that the date will be 28th afternoon and asked us to collect the property key at their office in Caister. And on 28th, we were waiting whole day till 5pm and by that time, they said their office is closing soon and they haven't got the key with them yet. We had to go get the key from the previous owner's and when we reaches there we were shocked to see how the property is full of stuff (I'm not even exaggerating). They gave us 1 key but they're still holding another key of the property saying that they are still moving the stuff. Now on 29th, we went to there for the relocation and the property is still full of previous owner's stuff and they are still cleaning. The worst part is that when we raised this concern to Minors & Brady, they focused just on the difficulties of previous owner and are not listening to ours. Actually, they were trying to say that it's not their problem anymore but we believe it's still their responsibility to take care that we have the property in control on the handover official date. If they can't handover the empty property properly, what's the point of being a sales agent. It was so inconvenient for us that we were stuck with all the things packed and the relocation service was coming soon by that time.

The responsibility for clearing a property and providing vacant possession on completion sits with the seller and their solicitor. As the agent, we are not permitted to control how a seller leaves the property. Our contracts set out the obligations for both the sellers and ourselves as the marketing agent, and while we understand how frustrating this experience was for you, these matters fall within the remit of the solicitors handling the transaction.

GoogleI bought a property with Minors and Brady and the experience was not great. I didn’t met anyone personally from house viewing till their handover. They set completion date of contract exchange and hand over date to 26th November ( I didn’t rush at all and let them arrange the date) and we booked for relocation service on 29th November according to the information they gave. Then they changed it to 28th November due to the the previous owners’ difficulties. On the day of hand over, I didn’t get the keys till 5:00 pm just before their office closing time so I had to collect the keys from the vendors at 8:00 pm and I was shocked by the view. The whole house is full of previous owner’s stuff and covered with dusts and pets’s hair. I had to cancel relocation service as it’s totally impossible to move in. I checked next morning and situation was the same. When I called Minors and Brady Caister office 9:20 29th November letting them know the situation, the first thing she said to me was that hand over was completed yesterday and they are not responsible anymore. Just irresponsible and rude. I didn’t even receive proper handover of empty house by them and that’s what she said to me. They didn’t even do property inspection before handover to ensure proper handover, didn’t make effort for clients and just irresponsible. If you cannot even do proper handover the empty property to their clients who spent huge amounts of their savings for buying, what’s the point of being a sale agent. My experience of buying my first property with Minors and Brady was really upsetting and I would never work with them again.
