Me and my girlfriend have just bought our first house together. From having no knowledge or past experience of the process, we have relied on staff from Minors and Brady quite heavily to take us through the process. Jess has been most helpful in answering any question that we have asked her and has sorted a lot of things that we requested over the past couple of months. Not only Jess but all other staff we have dealt with from Minors and Brady have been excellent in their service. The person (unfortunately can’t remember his name) who showed us round the house when we first viewed it was incredibly helpful and convinced us to put an offer in which is the best decision we’ve made and when we popped into the Dereham branch the other day, Kyle was good enough to check over all the paperwork/contracts we had to send off to our solicitor even though it’s not his role or responsibility to do but he made us feel confident that we hadn’t missed anything out.

Minors and Brady have been excellent from the outset. From Karel who initially valued our property to Clare Wilson who managed the sale and completion. Clare supported us with weekly phone calls to update on progress, even when there was very little to report. This enabled us to feel confident that they were managing the process effectively and efficiently. The communication from the team really made all the difference, having previously had two other agents where we had to chase for any update. We were happy with overall support from Minors and Brady. The agents that worked with us were professional and efficient. I would say at the selling stage there were a few down points, we felt that people who helped with the viewing could do slightly better, as our property had a few unusual features, which we were clear about at the start, but we kept receiving the questions about it. We also did a new EPC certificate and it took two weeks and three emails to get it uploaded. The post sales was brilliant though.

They exhibited strong knowledge of the property market whilst we were looking for a new home and once we had found it, we received regular updates throughout the process from Aysegul Capti who demonstrated professionalism throughout the process, responding promptly to queries in a concise and courteous manner; this really helped us through what is a stressful time. We were highly recommended to use Minors and Brady by some friends and we are beyond pleased we did. From the initial meeting, valuation, photos, sale process to now the after care phase they have been faultless. Generally quite underwhelming.

We bought a small bungalow for my father with M&B Lowestoft and then therefore decided to engage them to sell the main family house. As a buyer, the experience was fair. As a seller, on the whole, we found the experience quite underwhelming and somewhat regretted the decision (by the looks of other reviews, we had similar issues as those reviews from the more detailed reviews that aren't 5-stars).The valuation and initial engagements with Henry were very positive. Good start.The first few viewings were conducted by a lad that really couldn’t care less about the particulars of the property or its key selling points, and whose sole purpose was to open the door and let viewers in. We had to rewrite a lot of the marketing material ourselves as it sounded like it was written by ChatGPT with parts that were plain incorrect and misleading (e.g. “wheelchair friendly” but there are major steps in and out, narrow hallway, and a staircase to the first floor!). Several iterations were required back-and-forth and I wondered what our agency fee actually covered. Photographer turned up on wrong day and took lots of photos with the house looking very untidy, which were then put into the marketing material (luckily these never made it into the market as new photos were eventually taken). One-on-one engagements with the team were generally pleasant, particularly when booking viewings. However the whole office shares responsibility for all sales which means there is no “go-to” person for your property. This might be efficient for them but it’s not great for customer experience and you end up repeating a lot of information with every person you speak to and not building a trusted relationship with anyone. We were pushed quite hard to accept a very low offer (even when taking into account the soft market) but were not in a rush to sell. It would have been good to get advice, from experts, on how to improve appeal rather than being advised to just keep dropping price. We were misled into believing that our buyer was chain free, whereas we were actually at the top of a four-property chain! When asked several times why they’d said this to us, they avoided our question which, for us, was an admission of guilt.Post-offer there was no proper handover and our enquiries went unanswered until we figured out that we were now in the hands of the after-sales team (the only time there was a nominated person, yet we weren’t told). No post completion engagement either, just an email to the conveyancer confirming their fee.We appreciate it's not a frothy market like previous years but, with so many agents in the market, that means even greater attention is needed on good customer experience, which costs very little.My advice to potential clients would be to use recommendations from friends. I am quite surprised by all the short, positive 5-star reviews from accounts with only 1 or 2 reviews conveniently naming specific people(!), as these did not match my experience.

Minors & Brady won't leave us alone

We considered using Minors & Brady to market our home and had one of their agents visit to talk about it; after speaking to two other agents we went with a different company. The property hasn't sold, so they have called us to try and persuade us to let them market the house. We've told them we're not interested in using them and not to call again. They have called us about once every three weeks for the last nine months and despite being told extremely clearly, over and over again, that we will not use them, they keep calling. I've told them to delete my number and never call again but they keep calling. Pushy, irritating, aggressive people who absolutely will not take no for an answer. Please stop harassing us, you are appalling people and based on this experience there is no way we would ever use your services.
