Buying and Selling through Yates Hellier

We recently both bought and sold a house through Yates Hellier. The process was seamless. Ross came and visited us in our property and talked us thoroughly and very informatively through the whole process. Once all details had been agreed we were set up with an individual web link app that linked to both the purchase of our new property and the sale of the old. We decided to do the viewings ourselves and the app showed us each viewing scheduled in time and date order with the names of the viewers so it was really easy to keep op top of them. Again, once the property went to closing the offers submitted were also viewable in the app along with the progress of missives etc. On top of this we also had a WhatsApp group set up between ourselves and Ross and Natalie. Natalie sent us an additional message each morning with a list of viewers and kept us updated via WhatsApp of any last minute time changes or additional viewings. If we had any questions then we could message, and it was replied to immediately. I could not recommend Yates Hellier highly enough as a very professional company with a great team of staff working both in front and behind the scenes. Their communication and knowledge of the property market is second to none.

The staff are nice. However, I had some problems in my flat which were not nice at all. First, I had rats, twice in less than a year. They ended up solving the issue, but it took time. Second, one of the ceiling lamps fell and hit my head. This is a dangerous and serious issue, they should double check the condition of the house to avoid this sort of problems. Finally, I had to pay to clean the house. Do not bother in cleaning it yourself, they will ask you for professionals. So, I cleaned it myself during these difficult times when people are not allowed in your house and then they made me pay for a professional to clean it. It is funny as they asked me to record a video for the following tenants because they were not allowed to go into the house due to covid, but then other people are allowed to go into the house to clean it. Seriously, it was clean, not as a profesional would do, but it was clean. So do not bother in trying to clean it yourself, you will have to pay for professional staff to do it. I have never had these problems with other rentals in Scotland and England.NegativeResponsiveness, Value

I contacted Ross Yates of Yates Hellier following a friend's recommendation and I'm glad I did. I was immediately impressed by Ross' professionalism, enthusiasm and knowledge of the market. The big difference between Yates Hellier and a lot of other agents is they are highly proactive in getting property sold - they didn't just stick photos on RightMove and wait for buyers. This makes a massive difference and really sets Yates Hellier apart from the competition. I was delighted with the service I received, the communication throughout the entire process and the price they got for my property. I would not hesitate to use Yates Hellier in the future. Great decision to use Yates Hellier to sell my Glasgow Harbour flat! Ross Yates was excellent to deal with, stated in touch on a daily basis from engaging services through to the done deal. Put our property up for sale mid November & several offers within a week, offer accepted within 10 days. No time wasters, only serious buyers too which was great, our expectations were met & exceeded. It might be a smaller organisation than the big high street names, but for us, it was the personal touch, the dedication & not just treating us as a number.
