GoogleWe rented a flat via Western Lettings when we were waiting for the renovation of our new property to be completed. The service at all times was professional and efficient, and they are also a great team to deal with. This was especially the case during the COVID lock down. We would have no hesitation using the services of Western Lettings in the future - our experience really was 5 star!

Good experience from a tenant perspective. Staff are friendly, they are very responsive and try to action requests as soon as possible. I am currently with a new letting agents and they have already made several time consuming mistakes that I don’t feel western lettings would have made.

GoogleWe were tennants through Western Lettings during the Covid 19 pandemic. Our lease began the day the UK entered lockdown and I am very glad that we were during such difficult times. They were responsive and professional but also empathetic and personal. Have moved and now using another letting agent it has further highlighted the exemplary service they provide. GoogleWestern Lettings is the most professional letting agency in Scotland I have ever rented property from. A lot of correspondence was made through emails, which was great for me. All issues during tenancy sorted straight away. End of tenancy was also smooth, I received my deposit back 3 days after I left property! Wow! I highly recommend Western Lettings to anyone who are looking for properties to let in Glasgow!

GoogleI've been using Western Lettings for over a year now and I'm so glad I chose them. Exceptionally high standards in terms of professionalism and customer service. They always respond to emails within about ten minutes and phone calls are always answered. I wish more companies had their ethos and standards. I honestly can't fault them. It's a small price to pay so I can sleep easier and not worry about my property. Many thanks to the team and their great leader, Jack.

GoogleThe team at Western Lettings were easy to deal with on entry to our new rented property and when we vacated. The online systems they use work very well but the added personal touch just made it easier. Small issues were dealt with quickly and the team of services they have on call electrician, joiner etc. were all great. We wish them all the best on their office move.

Hi Amy. I can understand your frustration in relation to the deposit deduction we’ve had to make. You wanted to leave your rented property, but the person who you signed the tenancy agreement with did not. The law in Scotland is clear on this situation and was explained to you at the time. The basic principle is that the tenancy cannot be brought to an end unless all parties agree. Since your flatmate wanted to stay, we could not end your joint tenancy. We regularly encounter this situation, and the usual solution is to find a replacement tenant and agree a date for them to take over responsibility for rent payments. You should be familiar with this process, because you arrived as a replacement tenant in the property when one of the previous joint tenants departed. When you decided to leave, the replacement tenant which was put forward dropped out. Another tenant was eventually found by your ex-flatmate, but you were responsible for the rent up to the point when they agreed to take up the tenancy. I understand that you were not living in the property for several weeks when you were still responsible for the rent. It should be pointed out that your deposit was protected in line with the regulations in Scotland and we had to apply to the deposit protection scheme for the deduction to be made on the basis of your rent arrears. We have been informed by a representative of the protection scheme that you agreed to the proposed deduction. The deduction was passed on to your landlord to settle your rent arrears. I understand that this took place during a difficult time for you, and we would like to extend our sympathy. Nevertheless, we have little room for discretion in such circumstances.
