Terrible!

It has been a few times the house, flat etc ı want to or attend to rent unfortunatelly comes with this agency. Ones when ı moved from Essex to pinner and the second time these days ı am looking to move another house. When some one looking for a house with this agency they need to know as far as ı contact them any time ı could not get a proper response or ı just get a non sufficiant reasons and cancellations with any homes. There are too many houses to let but the agent say none of them available. This mean non of them available only for me this mean because they did not like my name and ı am from somewhere else this is very clear. This is the second time o knock their door and get the same ridicilous result. Anyone from somewhere just do not attend them anyway they will find too many reasons not to let you a house or flat the landlords they are working with are seems like the same. This is my two big and clear times experiances with this agency. A few minutes ago in the phone he cancelled the viewing with the reason even he cannot explain clearly totally created.

Day robbery

I have lived in a house rented through Gibbs Gillespie and recently moved out. When we were in the house, most of the things was very professional and premium service. However when we moved out, we they were trying to take a lot of money from our deposit. We have received a bill for more than £300.00. the point is almost every dilapidation they mentioned was present even when we moved in. one funny example is we were billed for a beige shade, which was not there when we moved in. I had to send spent a lot of time to compare check in images and even with detailed images, they were refusing to agree that we were not responsible, I had to put images side to side to make them understand. I don't know how they have such kind of staff who cannot understand even simple comparison. after several back and forth emails, they brought down the bill to around £50. As I was tired of their email conversion, and did not have time for their non sense, We agreed them to deduct that money so at least we can get the rest of the money. They use a stupid third party company called Hinch property management. the staff who did the check out was, I would say a real stupid. He did not check the check photos or report and it seems He imagined a new build house and billed us for all the missing things which was not there even when we moved in. If you are going in, take photos of each millimetre, otherwise forgot your deposit.

Do not ever use this estate agent to…

Do not ever use this estate agent to let your property. They have different departments dealing with each aspect of your tenancy which means no one person knows anything about who is renting your house or any problems you may have as a landlord. They put in tenants that trashed my house requiring upwards of £5, 000 damage and simply did nothing to help. Now they have taken the same tenants and put them in another property . God help that landlord

Exceeded my expectations - Not Once but TWICE

I am very happy to recommend the staff at Gibbs Gillespie, Stanmore. I have nothing but praise for James Sweet and Paula who worked so hard on our behalf to see through the sale to completion. James "sold" my Mother-in-law's maisonette five times before the sale went through. He never gave up and although the sale fell through a number of times eventually he found a purchaser who exchanged and completed. When it came to selling my own house, I had no hesitation in giving Gibbs Gillespie the opportunity to find a buyer. They were very professional, making appointments, bringing round prospective clients and agreeing a sale. Very many thanks. A satisfied customer.

Sam Robbins (the branch manager of 172 Ruislip High Street) and his team were excellent on the whole who provided a great service. They took into account my situation, achieved the sale and when things were getting protracted they manager was able to step in and accelerate the process. I have dealt with quite a few estate agents and I wouldn’t recommend many but this branch despite some issues were able to work with me to achieve an exchange.

Gibbs Gillespie Stanmore - avoid at all costs. The most disengaged, rude, disgraceful agency I have ever come across. The only decent person in the office is Grant - but one person can’t give everyone the service they need! The branch is under poor management. My parents house was on the market with them 20 weeks as per their contract - not one person from the agency has set foot inside their property since 2019, yet they took it on mid 2020, none of the sales agents have seen it, I did all the viewings as how could someone show around a buyer not having seen the house but they didn’t seem bothered if I did the viewings it was one less thing for them to worry about. Not once did we get any proactive conversations when they came to us about clicks, interest, market activity, pricing, feedback... Just weren’t bothered. Even when I emailed notice they didn’t bother to respond, until I chased for acknowledgment and they just said yes received we will stop marketing in 2 weeks. Disgusting attitude of the branch manager Phil Twallin who most definitely should not be in a customer facing role!!! Don’t get into contract with this branch selling your biggest asset. They don’t have the time or inclination and just want the inventory.

Helpful team

Selling a house is very stressful but Gibbs Gillespie were helpful all the way through even having to handle two sets of buyers disappearing off the face of the planet. It was a long process for us and we seemed to have dealt with most of the team at the Ruislip branch some of whom were much more helpful than others. Overall we were pleased with the service especially the number of viewings we had each week which helped to sell the house.

Messed about for a week with wife being pregnant by Alex R.

Spoke with Alex on phone and he alerted me there were a few properties available on help to buy in Uxbridge. I told him was keen and had wanted to view the properties. Alex told me the viewing for the four houses would not happen until 2 weeks. I asked him if i could reserve one and was told that can only reserve after viewing. 2 weeks forward and 3 properties have been reserved. With one being left we went to view the property, and gave them the asking price, our offer got accepted. They set up a mortgage call for Friday the 14 of August 2020. I sent Alex an email to say would the developer go down by £5k potentially as an incentive for stamp duty or furniture voucher i tried to negotiate and at no point did i say i would not pay the full asking price. I told Alex to let me know by end of day. I received no phone call and he had gone and negotiated the property with another buyer without communicating anything to me. I tried to contact Alex the next day and he had booked a day off, i called the office and they said hes on annual leave and has given the property to another buyer. I don't understand what games they were playing but it was a nightmare experience and has been very hard. We spent £500 to get a mortgage in principal also. I cannot explain how much stress Alex and Gibbs Gillespie have given to my pregnant partner absolute farcical experience stay away and i would not recommend to ever go with this company.

( can't you let another agent meet me for just 30 min?)The second viewing is with Harry Rai. He's being very professional, I had a very detailed introduction on the viewing. He also gives me suggestions and tells me what to look out when buying a house.
