GoogleWe have just bought a flat through Martin’s in Folkestone. I found them to be efficient and friendly. When we put the offer in the office was decimated by Covid but the staff who were there were very helpful - even though they worked in the ‘rental’ rather than the ‘sales’ side. Buying a property can be a very baffling process - the staff at Martin’s (and in particular Nina) were keen to be helpful.

Half of them speak to prospective or existing clients like rubbish, as if they’re in a place of authority, with such rudeness. Stay clear, lots of other fantastic estate agents around who genuinely understand customer care and basic human decency.

I can’t fault how well they have dealt with my partner and I, extremely professional and couldn’t do enough for us to help us find the home we were looking for. GoogleMartin & co are the building managers for my leasehold flat. They have been excellent with any situation, no issue is too large or small for them. Catherine in the office has always been a pleasure to deal with and has our best interests at heart. In the rare eventuality that I have had to contact the out of hours phone number, someone has rushed over to help me and sort the situation out. When an issue has been raised with them they have usually sorted the problem within a couple of hours, and if not, I know that they have it in hand and are working hard to resolve the issue. Thank you for all your help!

GoogleThe team has been wonderful. Phoebe and Shelley explained the entire process before the move-in, making my application process seamless. They were so patient and always available. Now that I’ve moved in, Diane always answers my calls and explains things to me, even when I call multiple times a day because I’m confused, as this is my first time renting on my own. She is always patient and happy to help. The team has been amazing and has made the process much easier. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a hassle-free pre-move-in and property management experience.

GoogleAfter checking a selection of local Letting Agents I chose Martin & Co, I'm so glad I did, they have been thoroughly professional and efficient from the start. As a bonus the whole team are very friendly and actually pass on messages!. Will and Julie were my main contacts they work very well together and have been a pleasure to deal with. They've really worked hard to match the right tenant to my property/my requirements and kept me up to date all the way. I highly recommend them.

GoogleI wouldn't hesitate to recommend Martin & Co's services. Nina and David were brilliant from the outset. Ours was a fairly complicated transaction but they kept us up to date throughout, and were very proactive in communicating with the other solicitors and agents in the chain. They are also very nice people!

Julie handled the collection of my keys, she was absolutely incredible and made sure I was well informed as I am a first time renter. GoogleAvoid if you want your deposit back. Unfairly took third of my deposit and the deposit protection scheme took their side! Collusion. Gave 1 star as the agent who showed me around was great but the rest cannot be trusted. Edit Pathetic response from yoursleves just shows the unprofessional level you will stoop to. I complained few times about the toilet waste from upstairs flat overflowing into mine but you did nothing and now you're using that to personally attack me is ridiculous! Saying that there was bodily hair and small smudge of paintwork in the cupboard doesn't justify £225 to clean it, this is all comes under general maintenance. Even your own independent check out report said the flat was clean As for the the 'independent' adjudicator, they awarded you the deposit by default and not in agreement as their all important email went straight to junk mail which was asking to send the proof in via email rather than through the website. Their process is completely unclear IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD THEIR DEPOSIT TAKEN UNFAIRLY, I AM IN PROCESS OF TAKING A GROUP ACTION AGAINT THE DPS AND MARTIN AND CO
Dear Waheed Zaman, You agreed to an adjudicator with the DPS, independent from yourselves and Martin & Co, to make a decision on the cost of cleaning that was incurred on how you left the property at the end of your tenancy. The independent adjudicator decided based on the photographic evidence that Martin & Co were right in having the property cleaned after you left. I am sorry that the adjudicator did not give you the decision you hoped to receive, but if you leave a property with a soiled toilet and body hair throughout the property, when it was brand new and professionally cleaned before the start of your tenancy, then it is justified that these cleaning issues are rectified. Leaving a negative review when an independent adjudicator decides against your expectations however is not justified.

GoogleMartin & CO have been hugely important and helpful to me over the past 5 years. I initially rented a property via Martin & CO in Sandgate where I lived for three very happy years. Their management services are excellent. I always felt supported as a tenant with whatever challenges arose, from normal boiler issues to damp in the seafront apartment which lead to a new shower being fitted. I even locked myself out of the flat one evening and a member of staff returned to the office out of hours to give me a spare key. I have now gone on to purchase a property via Martin & CO which I am so happy with. I like the team enormously who are always polite and kind and I am always greeted warmly when I go to the office. I highly recommend this branch of M&CO. Thank you for your professional and kind service

GoogleI’ve just purchased a house through these guys. They have had their fingers on the pulse from start to finish. They’ve been amazing! They’ve phoned me regularly and given me updates, given advise, and nothing is too much trouble. Bearing in mind that they were actually working for the seller, so it wasn’t actually in they’re remit to keep me, as the buyer, in the loop. They’ve given me a five star service, which is more than I can say for the other estate agent I used to sell my house. David and Peter are professional and friendly, and really know their business. I’ll definitely be using them to sell my house in the future. Thank you very much.

GoogleHighly competent and professional property managers. I have been a landlord and a loyal customer of Martin & Co and the two predecessor companies absorbed by them, Paul Brown, and Hallams, since 2007. The Martin & Co team always exceeded my expectations and looked after my interests as a landlord, and again when I sold each of my Dover houses. It would be wrong to single any individual out for special praise. This is a team who work as a team.

Disregard to the well-being of their tenants and only show loyalty to the landlord. Still trying to charging check in and out fees and more despite the new Tenancy Act being passed as of June. I rarely write reviews but I sincerely hope someone sees this when enquiring about a property from this company. It is not worth it.
