Catherine guided and supported us through a tenant checkout at the end of a tenancy (we are the landlords). She kept us fully informed, was super efficient and dealt professionally with the sometimes tricky issues that arose. Everyone we dealt with at Michael Jones over the whole process of the tenant checkout and the new tenant moving in were helpful and polite. Highly recommended.

The team at MJ&C has helped me move closer to family, and the electronic method to complete checks and so on meant it was all something I could do at my own pace. I struggle with computers, being 79 years young, so did lean on my son a bit to help.All my interactions with the team were timely, easily understood, and I felt they genuinely wanted to help make things as easy and painless as possible.

Previous tenants of Michael Jones rented property, we left our property on 5th January and were expecting a response to our deposit return on the 19th January. 3 emails later we have received not even an acknowledgement of our emails or an update on our deposit return. We have raised a dispute with the TDS as a result. The lack of communication and clear lack of care of their tenants is evident. During our tenancy we also raised a number of issues which went without answer for weeks. When the landlord required our help we were expected to drop everything we could to assist
Dear James, we are sorry to read that you were disappointed with your experience as a tenant with us. We take all our reviews seriously and have looked into what has happened in the situation that you outline below. We deal with all deposit negotiations via the portal “The Depositary” which gives periodic email updates to the tenants. Having investigated your situation further it seems your emails that you sent had been going to the support team at “The Depositary” rather than us, meaning we did not get your emails, hence why there was no response. Due to the nature of the deductions being proposed it took a little longer than usual to source a quote for a suitable replacement, however the deductions from the deposit have now been agreed upon without the need for adjudication and the matter has been resolved. We appreciate deposit negotiations can be frustrating for tenants but we can see that this has all been dealt with in the proper manner and it’s unfortunate that we did not receive the emails from you at the time.
