A short review on Saffron

Saffron has been my rental manager for a while now, We have been though a few ups and downs with the apartment, eg floods in the apartment bathroom getting new tenants Maintainance and last week she orchestrated the renewal on the apartment for a further 12 months.In all this time Saffron has made things happen, and got the problems sorted ASAP, in a very upbeat and professional manor.I’m very pleased to have her as my property manager and you should be very proud to have her representing your company. I do find your charges per month high and not very happy about the maintenance deposit of my money you keep….BUT The main reason I stay with your company is Saffron. she’s a star.

My partner in letting

I have several properties in Reading that have been let through the fully managed service with Prospects for 2.5 years now. I feel relieved knowing that Gemma and the team are so competent at looking after my property and always prompt in correspondence. With more than one property to look after, it seems there is always a tenant or repair issue and I really trust in Prospects to resolve these as simply and smoothly as possible for me while I get on with my own day job. It's also very reassuring to have the check in and out service as well as property inspections and to be kept up to date with any legislation around letting.

Property purchase

We purchased a property through Prospects at the end of April. We were shown around the property by Adam who was excellent, very friendly and really earnt his commission. He was able to show us the potential in the property and we are very happy here. We then dealt with Paul, who was very helpful and friendly. We were introduced to Aimee who would oversee the sale. Aimee was excellent throughout, quick to respond and to pass messages between us and the sellers. She was always friendly and understanding.The only downside of using Prospects was the sales pitch of the conveyancing team to use their recommended solicitor. We were misled by the information given, and were told that our solicitor would be working for both the buyer and the seller which would speed the process up. We learnt that this was not the case. The solicitor that we used (Melia Mumford) needed a huge amount of chasing and created some stressful scenarios during the purchase which needed to be chased up by myself and Aimee. Overall, we had a positive experience with Prospects, but I would avoid being sucked into using their recommended solicitors and go off your own recommendations. We were first time buyers so learnt a valuable lesson! Thanks again to Aimee and the rest of the team.

Our house sale was handled by Prospect Bracknell branch. From the start, we have dealt with Joshua Holt, who was great- very professional, polite, and to the point. We value our time and Josh concentrated on evaluating our unique property and explaining the process, rather than giving us long sale pitches as some agents do.His valuation was the most accurate and achieved us the asking price. We were then supported by Aimee Smith, Transaction Support Coordinator. Amy was an absolute star- she was the one chasing dates for us, making sure all parties communicated efficiently. Although there was a chain on the buyers' side, Aimee was in constant touch with all interested parties, solving issues, chasing paperwork, findind solutions. Thanks to Aimee, the stress of a house sale was much more bearable and manageable.Thanks to the whole Prospect team, and especially to the individuals that supported us.

Ross Hobbs - Our wingman for the sale of our house

My husband and i have used Prospect (Reading) for a good 8 years now whilst renting out our property and when the time came to sell it, we decided to stay with Prospect to ensure we had consistency and i cannot fault the team.During a worldwide pandemic and uncertain times, the whole sales team have been nothing short of excellent under covid restrictions. My heart goes out to Ross Hobbs though, my wingman. After Prospect found us a buyer, i was handed over to Ross for the overall sale of the property. Ross has been by my side every step of the way, guiding, supporting and putting us at ease during our transaction. There on the end of the phone no matter how many times i bugged him, always professional but always reassuring too. In what was a complex sale, we could not have done this without him. Great service

We chose Prospect to sell our house and didn't regret it. They were neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but we felt they offered the best service when choosing an estate agent. The team in the office worked hard to find us buyers and our eventual buyers and we were sold quite quickly considering the Covid restrictions as well. Once we were sold, we were passed onto Aimee Smith as our transaction co-ordinator. Aimee was fantastic, even helping our sellers estate agent out to help all the paperwork get done. Whenever we needed help, or had a question, Aimee was right there for us. We cannot thank her enough. If and when we move again, other agencies would have to work hard to convince us not to use Prospect.

Best agents ever

I had the pleasure to purchase a house advertised by Prospects and the whole team went above and beyond to help from viewing to completion. Aimee was absolutely vital to the process and she helped communication across all parties and chased daily for updates. She has been a godsend. I was also incredibly moved by the little "move in package" they prepared for us when we went to pick up the keys, which was such a lovely gesture. Nitherless to say we will definitely use them in future if we ever want to sell our property. 100% recommend them.

Overall a good experience

The initial property valuation was over priced, and there was very little interest within the first week. Following a conversation with the agent, it was agreed to reduce the price and viewings started to follow. Cameron was fantastic as the sales manager for the transaction, and Aimee really smoothed the process and ensured the transaction progressed once a sale was agreed. Both were the real stars for us, and the reason I’d use prospect again, however we advise you get multiple valuations for the property and take time to evaluate before listing. Communication from prospect was very good, regular updates on viewings with detailed feedback, and the chain was regularly updated on the progress, next steps and blockers.

I had my property marketed by a large local agent, who had it on their books for 397 days with no successful sale. I decide to change tactics and try Prospects. Shaun called me within 24 hours of me requesting a callback, and within a few days Darren was at my property. He spent several hours with me talking through my options, taking photos, and doing a video walkthrough. Darren ensured he followed all relevant COVID precautions, and was incredibly personable. Before Darren had even returned to the office I already had a viewing booked, and within 5 days the property was sold after a further 2-3 viewings. This all happened before the "For Sale" board was put up outside ! It goes to show that just because there's a powerhouse estate agent in your area, who tells you they sell the most properties in the area, and you see their boards everywhere, doesn't mean the best route is to use them. I have learned from my mistake ! Prospects were very attentive, answered all my questions, and provided immediate feedback on viewings (something I did not get from the other agent, and would sometimes take 3+ days of me calling to get an answer). Thanks Shaun and Darren for all your work in getting my place sold, I really appreciate it.

They care about their clients, not just their commission - which is a real breath of fresh air. Connor and Matt were fantastic and so friendly, they showed us some great properties and we always knew our home was in good hands when they did viewings for us too (we loved the fact that the whole team came to familiarise themselves with our property before it was advertised).We owe David a huge amount of gratitude. We used Prospect after a bad experience with another local agent. Paul from the word go was up front and honest and delivered everything he said he would. Our house sold within 2 weeks! He even sent properties he thought may be of interest that were being sold through other agents!On the day we viewed the house we ended up buying I phoned the office to see if they thought it was worth worth price we were paying. Cameron spent a lot if time talking me through the prices other houses I'm that road sold for, the different in square footage compared to our property and even advise what would be a sensible offer! We have exchanged today and after an extremely stressful week, Aimee has been an absolute god send! She has been on hand to listen to me vent and dealt with issues we were having straight away! Moving in to the UK in Pandemic Period....

I moved into the UK in early May, during the Pandemic, this is my first rented home out of my homeland, totally stressful! As a matter of fact, I have some negative comments on my flat, but don’t want to list them out here. My property manager is Gemma Barton, she is professional and well experienced, always so caring and understanding, I would say she is a good ambassador between myself and my landlord. As Landlords living overseas it’s a pain when things go wrong or something needs doing. Unfortunately, there were a number of issues I encountered during the tenancy which I would have ordinary delegated to a family member to sort out.During my tenancy I switched from a rent collection service to fully managed as I was busy. This was one of the best things I could have done and Agnese has been nothing short of amazing.Details:- Gas safety inspection expired - new one obtained quickly and at a reasonable price.- Non-responsive tenant - contact established and property inspection arranged quickly.- The tenant was in significant arrears - funds collected from the guarantor.- Tenant assigned bills back to the landlord whilst the tenant was living in the property - handled correspondence timely and professionally on behalf of the landlord to ensure the liability remains with the tenant for the period they occupied the property.- Managing deposit negotiations - negotiating a mutually agreeable outcome for both parties.Without doubt I can say that Agnese’s diligence, professionalism and can do attitude is the reason I will continue to be a Prospect client. I felt the need to get the best outcome for me was no different to if I delegated to a close family member.Thank you Agnese.

Emily Sulma is my property manager

Emily Sulma is my property manager. She has been extremely helpful, reliable and approachable since I moved into my new flat. She has been really great during the difficult time I had trying to sort out my blocked toilet in my bathroom. She was very quick to help solve the problem and arranged for a plumber and drainage engineer to come out and fix the issue. It was resolved quickly, promptly and efficiently. I am very grateful and appreciative of all her help to solve the situation. She also fought my corner in regards to the landlord by having my back and sticking up for me reassuring me that I wouldn’t have to pay for the issue as it wasn’t my fault. She reassured me, kept in regular contact with me and made sure I was ok and that we could get to the bottom of the problem. Emily has been a star.

I had such good service from the team at Prospect. When offered on a house before selling Beth bent over backwards to get new leads, and updated us every couple of days until she secured the offer we needed. Other agents offered us slightly cheaper rates, but having just been in a chain with those agents I can say with confidence that if Betsy hadn't gone above and beyond we wouldn't have got the transaction over the line before our deadline. Both Beth and Betsy were always happy to have a quick chat, which I really appreciated, and most importantly they got the job done.

Julie is undoubtedly the most professional, kind and helpful lady I could have wished for to help me through my time at a rented property. Myself and my partner recently moved into a rented home in Wokingham. Upon moving into this home, which prospect had taken over from another agency; there were just problem after problem; no hot water; no heating; no working shower; fridge freezer broke; garden fence fell down; general maintenance that needed to be done - each of these things were found out every few days.I was very stressed due to all of these problems that were arising on a daily basis and I was then assigned Melissa Fisher as my property agent, who I could contact and raise these issues with. Melissa has been nothing but actually amazing to me and my partner. Every issue that arose, she dealt with straight away, whilst always keeping in touch and liaising up to date information (even after her working hours had finished). Melissa truly went above and beyond and actioned every issue and problem that arose and was so proactive that she really took the stress off me and my partner and really understood where we were coming from with how stressful this situation was and she wanted to do everything she could to help, and she honestly really did!!! Melissa is truly an asset to Prospect. She really does care and look after their clients needs, wants and wishes. She will always go above and beyond to ensure that any issue of problem is dealt with and in a timely manner - which is of utmost importance, and it as definitely noticed when i would raise an issue or new problem and within an hour or so, Melissa was on the phone to me, or had replied back via email actioning this very problem straight away.Thank you so much Melissa for making such a stressful time, a-lot less stressful and a-lot more smoother. Aimee is amazing!

Moving house is always stressful, and our move in particular definitely had its ups and downs! We had been hoping for a quick and smooth move (like everyone does) and there were a few hurdles along the way with the chain that made us consider whether it was all worth it. There was one person in particular who encouraged us to stick with it, who managed to keep things positive for us, even in the most stressful days, and that was Aimee Smith.Aimee continuously went over and above for us, answering questions, keeping communication between all parties open, being available to talk through things we were unsure of, and always remaining totally professional and kind throughout.
