I can’t believe we have just had a 6 week delay on a very small chain that has been caused by Richard James send info to the wrong solicitor. They can’t even maintain sellers’ records correctly. Won’t call anyone back to explain! I regard this organisation as incompetent.

0/10 Customer Service. Horrible, unprofessional and disrespectful staff. I rented from Richard James Estate Agents in Swindon and for 7 months, the intercom systems wasn't working. My letters and parcels were returned. When I moved out a lady called Gee Mossom charged me £100 for cleaning, yet I cleaned the house , 80£ for scratch by the sink very small area, 76£ for the door staying that I stole their keys yet I am not a thieve and I returned theirkeys. When I phoned requesting for my deposit back a manager called Rebecca cut me the phone . So don't use this estate agency. Stay away.

I let properties via Richard James near Swindon. They acquired a smaller agency when the owners retired and I "inherited" Richard James as an agency. The organisation is well run and communication is good. Sharon Carpenter (Lettings Finance Manager) has been especially helpful and well organised in providing me with financial statements (even going the extra mile to find statements from the original agency). I should also mention Heidi Maller who deals with the property maintenance who has been helpful, understanding, and well organised.
