Used for sale of my flat Slow but friendly to deal with initially getting on the market and getting viewings arranged Valued me 5k less than Fenwicks valued my neighbour for the same flat in the same estate put on the same week in a worse condition and I haggled the sale fee down to Fenwicks price too Once sold, the progression side was out of date to actual progress and would go get updates if I asked so not much proactive progressing. Came across blasé about weeks of delays and just letting things plod along Once exchanged I didn’t hear from them until chased on moving day if I was out for buyers. Felt very much like they were looking after the buyer when I was paying the bill Not as good compared to the other end of my chain with Micheal Rhodes who were proactively checking, listing all bits I could do while we wait for other bits, if they couldn’t help they knew who could etc etc

Awful customer service for tennants

We rent a house from Pearsons Southampton, they're a nightmare to deal with for any maintenance issues. The day we moved in our neighbours warned us that they've seen rats running in and out under the front door, we let them know and they did nothing. A few weeks later we first found evidence of rats inside the house, they sent out a pest control company who put down poison and recommended several holes are filled. Pearsons refused to fill in the holes until there was no evidence of pests, meaning the house was exposed to any number of rats entering in the meantime. After much arguing we managed to get them to fill the holes, they sent out a guy who didn't really know what he was there for so only filled in holes that we were personally able to point out to him. Another few weeks later the rats were back, and had spread to other rooms of the house. I called Pearsons and asked them to send pest control to check for other points of entry, they said they would call me back and later I instead received an email from them refusing to do so. Other issues I don't have time to go into detail about include unsecured gas pipes, a collapsing garden wall and partially collapsing ceiling. I would avoid renting from them unless you get a building survey of the place done as if you were buying it as they clearly have no quality control for their properties and are resistant to fixing the issues when you find them yourself.

I could literally write a multi page review on how terrible these people are. But I'm not willing to dedicate the time as I have already wasted too much time with these useless people. Never reply in good time, never communicate with other people in their own office, don't communicate to the landlord, very unprofessional when they do reply. If I provided the level of service at my job that these people do, I would be sacked and with good reason. Absolutely dreadful at customer service, they rarely do what you've already had to chase them up to do, and they then get rude when you persist. Solely interested in squeezing every lost drop of money out of you that they possibly can, up to and including making it so difficult for you to counter their spurious deposit claims. Sent off to adjudicator only to see agent had made damaging and demonstrably false allegations against my character. Never will I deal with such incompetent, uncaring and avaricious idiots again.
