Wish I could give 0 stars. As other reviews state, absolutely shocking experience. Took no interest in sorting issues out for us. The state of the property when we moved in was atrocious... and even worse, they charged us an outrageous check out fee for 'cleaning', despite us leaving the property in a far better state than what was given to us. Deposit has taken months to get back. Claimed to have not received keys that were sent in the post, just to take even more money from us. Avoid this estate agent.

He came across as very authentic and transparent, thoroughly ensuring we had all the information we needed while being very supportive during our application. Rented through rainbow property (now Martin and co) for 18 months. The team were very helpful and cordial throughout my tenancy.The checkout process and deposit return has been a nightmare though. Really high unfair deductions based on subjective judgement, a very long time taken and essentially wearing one down to either going to court or mental exhaustion.Beware.Basically rent through them sure, but don't expect your deposit money back either on time or in full.
Dr Dhruv Abhi, I am sorry you feel that the checkout was awful. We did contact you immediately after you gave notice with clear vacating instructions and communicated with you regularly with proposed deductions from your deposit, passing on all invoices to you as requested. The team here have all had training from the deposit protection scheme (DPS) where your deposit was held. It was explained to you that you could dispute any claim directly with the DPS should you not agree with our findings. At no point was court action ever mentioned as the DPS is there to ensure deposit disputes are adjudicated fairly.

GoogleLiam and Emily have been instrumental at helping me through the process of finding a place to rent in Penryn. Nothing has been too much hassle or too much bother. I felt looked after and supported through the whole process with incredible attention to detail and communication. They have gone above and beyond and been available whenever I had questions or worries about various stages of the process as this has all been very new to me after only renting privately before. I could not recommend them enough!!!!

GoogleWe viewed a house to rent with Martin & Co on a Wednesday, and by Thursday the next week our references had been approved and we had been given a moving in date! Amazing service from them, no problems at all. The gentleman who showed us around the property was polite and gave us all the information we needed to make a decision, he was honest about the property and answered all our questions. They were always quick to respond to any emails that I sent, getting a quick reply was so helpful! Would recommend to anyone looking to rent.

GoogleIf you are looking at moving, start here! Everyone I spoke to was so polite, friendly and professional. It can be quite stressful trying to find a new place, but the ladies I have spoken with make it so much easier. From responding within 5 minutes to my first email, calling back when they say and viewing at a time that suited me! I had dealt very briefly with another estate agency that honestly couldn’t have cared less. These ladies obviously love what they do and it shows. Ruby especially, is an absolute delight to talk to and nothing seems too much trouble!

GoogleI have received nothing less than 5 star service from Martin & Co. I would score higher if I could. Liam in particular has been absolutely outstanding in assisting us to rent our property. It was a quick and speedy process and he always got back to us within a timely manner and always went that extra mile to answer any queries we had. I couldn’t recommend them enough, I have been so happy with the service we have received and look forward to staying in contact with them with any future enquiries.

I have used Martin & Co for a house purchase, a tenancy management and a house sale and received nothing but friendly, helpful and knowledgeable support and advice. I simply cannot recommend them enough, whether it’s the Falmouth or Helson branches, both are superb. If I ever need the services of an estate agent etc, I would not hesitate to use them again 5/5⭐️
