Unfortunately I have not have a good experience. I had an offer accepted and was not informed that it was their policy the property would remain on the market for viewings until a survey had been booked. In fact I had to discover this myself after the memorandum of sale had been emailed to me (this was after they insisted I had instructed conveyancers etc) I sent various emails, even went in and was told various different things by different members of staff. Chloe told me that only pre booked viewings would happen, Jenna told me no viewings would happen but they would keep a list of interested parties in case something fell through, and Paul left a voicemail for me stating once I had provided one further ID (which I did) it would be taken off. I emailed and told them I was being left open to gazumping and loss of money as I had paid to instruct my conveyancer and paid my mortgage company for the survey. Chloe told me that although they were continuing viewings it would not leave me vulnerable to gazumping (which I insisted I was). She also stated this is standard practice however after speaking to several people and estate agents I have discovered this is not. Eventually I attended their offices and they stated they had done a viewing but had not heard anything so felt sure everything would be fine. They stated they had to protect their seller so the property would remain on the market until a survey was booked. When questioned what would happen if the vendor wanted it to stay on after the survey was booked, they stated “then it would stay on” demonstrating a lack of integrity regarding any agreed sale. That was on Saturday. Fast forward to Monday and low and behold there has been a CASH offer which even as a first time buyer I cannot compete with. I am now out £1000 due to this agents complete lack of transparency and integrity regarding the offer process as if I had known the property wouldn’t be taken off the market, I wouldn’t have offered. I wouldn’t recommend this agent to anyone looking to buy especially as a first time buyer as they assume you don’t know what you are doing and that you won’t read everything you are provided with.

What a great team - if I called and my estate agent was out someone else would try to help not just take a message. The conveyancing service was a little more that others but far more efficient - a great website that tracks every activity. They really supported our purchase from start to finish - all the viewings we wanted. This is how a traditional estate agent should be - reliable. Thank you Georgia and co! :) Since the original review 3yrs ago, the team have sold the house for me and are now selling my flat - I've gone back up north :) . Appalling. Memorandum of Sale was issued on the 05/05/21. The number of incoming calls with updates - ZERO! When calling the branch calls are unanswered and when they are answered Debby says that she hasn't had a chance to deal with the sales progression and would call back, which she never does. Only this morning she said, when we spoke last week I said I would call you on Tuesday, I will call you later. Guess what, no phone call. Guess what, WHB will not be on the list of agents to call when the house comes up for sale in the future. Shameful - you give estate agents bad nameNegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Dire service all round from the Grays branch. Rude, pushy staff, particularly Debby, backed up by Paul. They take the commission to sell your property but will only accept buyers if they take out a mortgage via WHB and they are not interested in buyers who already have pre-arranged mortgages or who want to arrange their mortgage themselves. Then in order to please the buyer, they try to pressurize you, the seller, to lower the asking price. They don't work for you the seller but for the buyer because they receive financial gain from arranging the buyer's mortgage and in some cases, their solicitors.
