Dear Tamas, Sorry to see that you have left a 1 star review. I appreciate that you are unhappy with the position regarding the deposit, however I would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding the claim. The damage to the communal areas occurred at the time of your move into the property. The remedial works required as a result were subsequently arranged and carried out, and you had agreed to meet the cost of those works. Despite this agreement, payment was not made. As the agreed costs remain outstanding, the landlord has been left with no alternative but to seek recovery of the cost through the deposit. The claim is therefore not being made without reason, nor is it a charge relating to the normal wear and tear of the property. It relates specifically to damage caused to the communal areas and the cost of putting that damage right. I am sorry that you feel that your experience with our staff has been unsatisfactory. However, I do not believe that the comments made about our staff alter the facts or the basis of the landlord's claim. We will provide the relevant information and supporting documentation as part of the deposit claim, and the matter can then be considered through the appropriate deposit dispute process if you do not agree with the landlord's claim.
