Our experience with the estate agents overall was quite disappointing, the process was slow and often frustrating due to issues on the buyer’s side. However, I have to give full credit to Izzie, who genuinely kept things on track. She looked after us throughout, answered our queries as quickly as she could, and did everything possible to make the experience smoother. 5 stars! We chose Barnard Marcus on the strength of their reach of buyers and management of the process - we did not regret our choice. Dan and the team were excellent. Communication from the outset was upfront and clear, we had a quick response to set up as soon as we agreed (within 24hrs!) and presentation of sales materials was of a high standard. We received regular check ins and reassurances in what was an unsteady market at the time. The team were strategic in the way the house was marketed and as such, sale was agreed in a good timeframe. They informed us of the benefits of their in house Sales Progressor which in my view does makes a difference to making sure the communication between both parties is transparent and keeps moving. I spoke to 5 agencies throughout the start of the process and really pleased we chose BM! Would highly recommend Dan & Team at Barnard Marcus Epsom.

Thank you to Courtney & Alex at the Barnard Marcus Epsom branch in helping us secure our new rental home. Courtney Beach has been absolutely amazing throughout the whole process from the viewing, chasing up for the landlord's legal team through to signing of the tenancy agreement. We were in a bit of tight spot as not even 1 year (10 months) in our tenancy we were given just about 2 months by our previous landlord to find a new place and move. This was genuinely down to family circumstances on the landlord's part however moving is stressful at the best of times let alone when you have a 9 month-old baby. Courtney was absolutely brilliant from start to finish, knowing the tight timelines (we viewed the property the first week of October and needed to move out of our previous property by 1st November) she chased the relevant parties to get us the keys with a few days to spare. Courtney was professional, knowledgeable and empathetic. I would highly recommend Courtney and the lettings team at the Barnard Marcus Epsom branch.

Unprofessional and misleading

The sales negotiator in the Clapham office was, in my experience, highly unprofessional and misleading regarding key property information. We were told inaccurate information about the service charge during the sales process, and when documentary evidence later contradicted what had been represented, there was no meaningful acknowledgement or accountability. This seriously undermined trust in the accuracy of the listing and the information provided. Buyers should independently verify all details and not rely solely on representations made during the sales process.

Its a terrific experience to be in part with this barnard marcus lettings team. We where shocked to see the condition of the apartment which we let. The hob where broken, switches in centre hall was not working, even the agents was not having a clue where the car park was. The agreement and protocols done within 3 days which was appreciated but when we vacated it took for us a month to get back our deposit.since its our money me and my wife was constantly chasing them about the update of releasing the money. Despite of calls, emails the agents was just irresponsible and kept saying it will be updated soon. But after 21 days we decided to move legally and involve council in this. We sent an email to all their admin and thus later after lots of struggle we got our deposit back. We totally understand if they want to deduct from deposit but here the case was they where not even helping us to release our deposit but then just holding deposit without no reason saying they where waiting for landlords reply. Where as landlord said he don't have any involvement with deposit as it dealt by lettings team. Luckily we got back outlet deposit after a month of chasing. I would never recommend this lettings to anyone as i found the employees are very careless, irresponsible

Don`t even pass trough by this company. awful as they can`t communicate. they keep offering you mortgatge adviser but they can`t sell a property. anytime i book viewing with barnard marcus i view the property you can1t keep in touch with one person. they even dont talke your offer properly, your position also missing from the form. you keep calling them but there is no clear answers.. they are there to just spend some time and get their sallary thats it..
