GoogleWe bought our house through Butler & Stag back in June, at the time the service they provided was extremely proactive and anything we needed they took care of quickly. Post completion of the purchase we needed help on a couple of issues we had with the house and despite it being months later, we experienced the same customer service we had at the begging. I have only dealt with the Theydon Bois office, but imagine the same level of competence and professionalism apply's to the others.

GoogleI wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Butler & Stag. They provide a prompt and efficient service. Photos and details were taken and up on the website very quickly, followed by plenty of viewings and a prompt sale. They dealt with my sale and purchase of my new house and any queries I had were dealt with straight away by Chris or Bradley. They are honest, friendly, pro-active and informative. It was also a pleasure dealing with Tracy in after sales. She was very helpful and I cannot thank her enough for all her help. 1st Class service from start to finish.

GoogleWe first met Chris from Butler and Stag when viewing a house he was selling. Unfortunately that property wasn't right for us but we really liked Chris' manner and friendly approach. On the back of that initial meeting we decided to sell our house through Butler and Stag and that's when we met Tony. He had a similarly friendly and approachable nature and explained the whole process to us. Selling and buying property is a stressful business but the guys really helped to alleviate any anxiety and worked diligently to get us over the line. Tony and Chris from the Theydon branch were on hand whenever we needed them and compared to the service we received from our original estate agent they were world's apart. Milo and Bradley at B&S were patient, helpful and communicated well from start to finish when selling my elderly mum’s house in Chingford. They oversaw viewings and guided her through the whole process. Once they had an offer, Amanda took over and progressed the sale. GoogleCannot praise the team at B&S more highly. We had a long frustrating wait for the right buyer. Had a couple of earlier offers and they both pulled out. But Peter, Chris and Tony all remained cheerfully optimistic and hardworking. They were always reassuring that the right person would come along. They didn't mind any of our questions and gave us plenty of good advice. The photos taken were of an exceptional quality. Made our modest little house look like a palace!! He and the team are extremely professional always returning calls, keeping us informed without putting pressure on us. Tony arranged viewings to fit in with family life and was never intrusive. Most did not call back, email or message, they simply did not care...and then I was fortunate enough to find a property through Butler & Stag and immediately noticed the difference. Chris & Sarah have done an amazingly professional job for me. They have worked wonders in terms of making the transaction quick,smooth, and most of all, stress free.They have communicated at a really high level at all times. Tony acted as our personal agent and, after explaining our needs, was immediately on the case to find us a buyer. He was on call at all times of the day (and night!) to deal with the sale, guide us through the process, advise us on current market conditions, explain the paperwork and put us in touch with experts to support us with the sale of our property and the purchase of our new house. He has worked tirelessly and professionally to help us achieve a sale in challenging market conditions, acted on our behalf to negotiate terms and supported us through the whole process. Often we were in the flat and people were waiting to view outside and the agents would be late... really late or just not turn up and not tell us they cancelled. Very pushy on the phone and told us to have viewings even when we really couldn’t and saying things like we need to strike while the irons hot! When we had family down and simply couldn’t have a viewing. Then we sold through them and it fell through. We moved agents and agreed that if they buyer came back that we would take it. They never got in touch until I did only to tell me they have sold her another off the market house! Shame because I bought my house through them in the first place. Hopefully others will have a better experience like I did as a buyer.
Dear Anna, Thank you for your feedback, although not quite the comments that we are used to from our clients.I have investigated the service you received from our Shoreditch staff and have reached the following conclusion. Viewings - I can confirm our staff did arrive late on two separate occasions but on both the buyers were notified in advance. There were several viewings on the property and the rest were carried out in an efficient manner. As agents, our diaries are sometimes impacted by other viewings running late, London traffic and public transport can be unpredictable to say the least which of course has a knock on effect. We allow viewers 15 mins to arrive beyond the appointment time to help accommodate, thereafter our staff leave to get to their next appointment. In both instances on your viewings, our staff were impacted by late comers on the viewings beforehand. Outside of this, all other viewings were attended in a timely manner and accompanied as is our policy.Sorry if you felt our staff were pushy. The market remains uncertain and inconsistent, when a good buyer presents themselves it is key that we can capitalise on viewings. I understand that there were several occasions where we were unable to access the property as you felt viewing times were inconvenient, this held us back and isn't something we are used to from motivated sellers. I would expect my staff to alert you to the risks of turning down potentially successful viewings and feel they have acted appropriately. Sorry if you disagree.You de-instructed us after our sale fell through, which can happen and after a month of no activity with the other agent you came back enquiring if our buyer was no in a position to purchase. At this point the buyer had changed their mind on the location and the property. Your review suggests that we sold the buyer another property, this is inaccurate and not a true reflection for anyone else reading the review.At this point you were no longer our client and the team were focusing their attentions on other clients we were dealing with. Again, I see no grounds for you to take issue with this. All in all, I feel the service provided by ourselves was positive and there is little my staff could have changed in this instance. I feel your review is an unfair and one sided, stemming from your frustration that that the buyer we initially introduced simply changed their mind in the end. Whilst writing I note that your property is still available for sale, we would of course like the opportunity to finish the work we started and help you move. I know my colleagues have been in contact with you and I hope this happens. Having sold you the property, it would be a shame for us to not work together again.
