WJ Meade team provided an excellent service throughout sale of our flat. We were given good advice on how to sell the property and they were highly proactive in finding a buyer. Their service didn't end at that point as they were instrumental to the success of the transaction. Because our solicitors were not helpful, we had to rely on the WJ Meade team, and Michael especially to get updates, communicate with the buyer and get things moving. They were always there to help us and I can defnitely recommend their service.

We sold our London flat through WJ Meade after renting it out for over a decade. Their advice and guidance was spot on from the word go. It is really worth investing in a local agent like WJ Meade, who were in our opinion much better value for money than a generic internet based service (Purple Bricks etc), and as such worth paying a slightly higher fee. Our property was not an easy one to sell and they worked hard to get a fair price for us. Communication was honest and prompt all the way through the process. We would recommend their services unreservedly.

We have rented a property managed by WJ Meade for three years and counting and have had a great experience. They are responsive to emails about repairs and liaise with our landlord on our behalf. We get plenty of warning about inspections and they are polite & considerate.

I tried to make a viewing appointment for my friends. When asked, I told how much their income was and as I was not sure about it, added that if necessary I could be a guarantor for them. I think his name wasJamie, he strongly refused the guarantor idea and refused to make an appointment for them. The following day, I called again and was told that property was let out. I asked my friend to call them for the same property. it wasn't gone. Obviously they didn't hesitate to lie. I found their attitude very arrogant, and discriminative towards ethnic minorities. I am going to start complaint procedure with the property redress scheme when I got time.

Strange experience. I was selling my flat through WJ Meade. They were very keen and told me they had people who were interested in viewing. They had suggested a higher price on it compared to other estate agents and we didn't have many viewings. When I asked them if we should lower the asking price - they suggested I should go to a different estate agent and perhaps they weren't in the right area for my flat. Really value the honesty - but would have expected them to say that from the start OR to be proactive with me and tell me that rather than me calling to check what was going on.

FacebookI was very happy with Wj Meade at first everything sounded like it was going smoothly. I wanted to rent a property that I put a holding fee down for I also then provided two separate guarantors but one of my guarantors were not accepted. So I then provided another guarantor but due to the amount of information that they have asked for my second guarantor did not want to proceed. Home let the Referencing department asked many questions that my guarantor was not asked whilst buying a mortgage house. So the landlord then made an offer of paying two months rent and one month rent deposit which we accepted. We then spoke to Wj Meade and they said the landlord doesn’t accept and they cannot help us further. Our £270 holding fee is gone for waste even though numerous of times we have put so much effort in to get this property and they didn’t want to understand or help us. Such a bad service never have seen an agency with this much hassle. I have so many people who have bought mortgage houses and never have they struggled this much with their paper work.

I can't recommend WJ Meade highly enough. They made selling my house a breeze and consistently went the extra mile. The branch manager, Michael, is a lovely guy and has an excellent manner. He's the total opposite of a "pushy" estate agent. He made sure that both the buyer and myself were looked after throughout the process, and was always available to answer any questions I might have. I would definitely sell or buy through them again.

Possibly the worst agent in London. After an initial meeting and reassurance that they could sell my Mile End property, 3 months later with only 3 viewings we signed with another agent who offered 6 viewings and sold within 3 weeks. Meades conduct, complete lack of communication and inability to give any guidance or answer any questions throughout this process was shockingly unprofessional...verging on contempt. They ignored any request for guidance, We had to instruct them to make changes and once we took on another agent we heard nothing for the last last month. Even if we had sold we would have taken them to the Ombudsman. Awful company and management.
