Very unprofessional rental agent

Very unprofessional rental agent. Very doggy. Said I failed my reference when after just 2 days. I provide 2 bank details which one was my salary account and they intentionally did use the salary account. Came back and said the other accounts doesn't have trace of income.They told me the Landlord is going with someone else. Please for anything you do, don't use them except you want to lose your holding deposit or they might make life a living hell for you even if they give you the house. They can do anything for money these lot.

I have used Bairstow eves to manage my property

I have used Bairstow eves to manage my property for the last two years. However the deliverables that were set out when signing the agreement were not met, from increasing rent annually according to market rent, to making sure that licenses were in place throughout the two year let. I have both times went out and got the gas certification and then sent it over to them myself, this was a managed service and Ideally they should have provided this service if not a reminder at least.

Very poor communication & unprofessional experience. I would not recommend using the Cannock branch. Lack of dedicated service to sell a property when we are the paying customers, no faith in them doing anything they say, if you can get in touch with them the right person will never be there and they will be blame it on someone else. A very frustrating experience go elsewhere!!!!

Totally disappointed with the customer service at this branch. Everything was running smoothly and professionally whilst Jodie looked after us with a property to rent for my dad. She went on annual leave and then the nightmare begun. The day we were meant to sign contracts and get the keys to the flat, 5 mins before arriving at the branch they called to tell us they had issues. On arrival at the branch we were told we couldn’t sign the contracts as they were still not ready. Someone had made a mistake and hence they were now 5 days late. We were also informed there were issues with the checks which was news to us. Joanna the admin staff was clueless. Checks and everything had been cleared and any issues were all clarified and approved. Joanna didn’t even make eye contact as my dad was trying to speak with her. I’ve never come across someone so rude in their manner. They literally said my father couldn’t move in that day and further checks would need to be made. Next day we were told landlord didn’t want to rent the property. I will never be using them again and advise anyone that doesn’t want to be disappointed on the move in date to avoid them. They don’t even communicate amongst themselves to find out what’s going on before letting down customers!!

I cannot thank Jodie enough. She is an absolute pleasure to deal with. Jodie really cares about her tenants and landlords. She is fair and honest when dealing with you. Jodie has gone above and beyond to help my mum find a new flat (which hasn't been easy for a number of reasons) and we genuinely appreciate her kindness and effort. I've had to contact many estate agents and I honestly wouldn't want to deal with anyone else. Landlords - please use this branch to sell or rent your homes because tenants need more agents like Jodie. Thank you once again!

If I could rate this branch/company zero stars I would. I am sitting writing this review on my 36th day of no hot water or heating in the middle of winter as a tenant at one of the properties this branch manage. The customer service/ communication is awful, I have to ring continuously and email multiple times a day for any sort of update. There is an issue with our boiler and we are awaiting repairs and not one single member of staff care. I would also like to highlight the maintenance team are through Countrywide who own this company or is part of their group and they absolutely have no clue what they are doing or how to handle the situation. Even no update would be an update for us. The lady who was dealing with us, Lily Radwell the property manager has offered no support whatsoever and couldn’t care less about tenants. She has even shouted at us on the phone and hung up. At the moment we are trying to obtain our landlords details to go directly to him or obtain some legal advice as it does not look like this issue will be fixed anytime soon. It’s also very disheartening as we are good tenants who look after the property and have never failed/payed late rent. If you are planing on renting a property through Bairstow or any branch/estate agency under the Countrywide group as a tenant or landlord I strongly advise against this.

I have been looking for house on zoopla and came accross few properties which belongs to bairstoweves,intially they were saying viewing are unavailable then later on they don’t even answer phone and when they answered they were showing properties only which they want to show and not one we want or shown available.One of the most vulnerable experience staff don’t care they don’t come back to you i would never want property from them

Definitely find a better estate agent

A few weeks ago I received a telephone call from a young member of staff at Bairstow Eves. He asked me if I was interested in selling my property. I told him no. I had bought it through them funnily enough and had just spent four months renovating it. He suggested I have a valuation despite my saying I didn’t want to sell. Eventually I agreed because I thought it would be good to see what it was worth now it had been renovated. Two text messages and a long and detailed email confirming that the manager was looking forward to meeting me at my property later that week at 12:30. She didn’t turn up and when I telephoned, I was informed that it was a desktop valuation, despite the fact that I had a an email telling me the valuation would be at my property. Having dealt with them when I bought the property and having them not bothering to respond to my email to express my dissatisfaction that they hadn’t bothered to come and do the valuation, I would never ever deal with them again. I think they are a shabby organisation and there are much better estate agents to deal with.

My past experiences of using estate agents for house purchases or sales have never been positive. That is until now. Our transaction was fairly simple as we had a first time buyer buying our house and that was the end of the chain. I found communications excellent. Never any delays. Always helpful. Always on time.
