We were in the process of purchasing a property through Knight Frank which unfortunately fell through after 5 months. After receiving the survey, we discovered many issues with the property, so asked for a reduction on the current offer that had been accepted. The agent dealing with the sale was unprofessional and rude whilst dealing was us towards the end of the process. She tried to make us feel bad that we did not want to overpay for a property that is not up to current building regulations and proceeded to blame us for the sale falling through. She fabricated the sequence of events to defend the vendors position. When we complained to Knight Frank they defended the agent and insinuated that we did not understand the process. They would not accept that their agent had handled things in an unprofessional manner. I would advise anyone to avoid this agency, they claim that they are professionals but act like children. Needless to say the property that fell through is still on the market after over a year of marketing and has been marketed at the original price.. £50k higher than our accepted offer, and with full knowledge of the severe issues the property has that will incur at least £50k of work to bring it up to current standards. Don't waste your time, you will pay for solicitors and surveys then find that it was all for nothing! I would like to add to this review in response to Knight Franks reply. Your response to me has not addressed the actual issue! We filed a complaint regarding the unprofessional attitude of your agent dealing with the purchase. The complaint was never about the sale falling through as we completely understand that these things happen and are out of the agents control. Therefore your responses are not actually addressing our actual complaint about your agent, and seems to focus on something that was not an issue for us. The entire complaint was based on the fact that your agent was dishonest, and rude to us. Your responses only confirm the level of service we received from Knight Frank, not only from the agent but now also from customer service who do not seem to have approached this in a professional manner.
We are sorry that your recent experience with Knight Frank didn’t have a positive outcome. We have already investigated this complaint fully and responded to you with an explanation. While we completely understand your frustration, the decision as to whether to accept or decline an offer is entirely that of the vendor. We do all we can to ensure a smooth and successful process for all parties, but in this situation the final offer wasn’t acceptable to our vendor. We are committed to providing our clients with the highest level of service, transparency, and trust, and hope that there will be a future opportunity to demonstrate that to you. On the initial visit Tom was genuinely interested in the property and asked very relevant questions to flush out any issues which could affect the sale, from septic tank to boundaries and drains. Since then the support from Fiona has been outstanding - she has become a friend in very stressful circumstances as well as being an efficient and effective partner who was ahead of the game and ensured that everything ran smoothly. Knight Frank is the largest and highest quality residential broker in the UK. As a foreigner, I observed that they had the highest quality listings, and a higher level of professionalism than other firms. The broker I worked with was excellent, as was the broader team. The hardest part was the documentation and related UK bureaucracy. The HomePPL website was difficult to use, and not well designed, which was the poorest part of the process. But I respected the high quality and ethics of the Knight Frank brokers

Upon taking over my account she had to sort through and relay a number of costly unresolved issues (not the best way to be introduced to a client).
