I wish that I read the reviews prior to my dealings with this agent. I’ve been a landlord for decades, have mostly stayed with the same company for a very long period, any issues were always resolved promptly and I felt that my custom was important.

Laura and her team in the Chiswick Rental offices went the extra mile in advising us on every aspect of finding a new tenant for our property including help with plumbers, decorators and removals and most importantly in finding us a good selection of prospective new tenants to choose from. A very hands on operation with excellent customer service and support.

GoogleAfter we had our offer accepted Sally Behan in Weybridge called to tell us we had been gazumped. We increased our offer above asking price but were told they wouldn’t sell to us. Turns out when the seller found out our name they decided not to sell to us for ‘personal reasons’ When pushed about ‘personal reasons’ she then said that there was actually a cash buyer who offered asking price. That property remained on the market for 5 weeks after that before it said under offer. Friends of mine were able to call and make viewings during this time. Disappointing that a company owned by Skipton Building Society would behave like this. The honourable thing to do would be stop acting for the seller but the commission was clearly more important.

I'd like to thank the whole team at John D Wood in South Kensington and in particular Umar and Angelo for introducing a buyer and working together with all parties (solicitors, managing agents, freeholders, buyer and vendor) in a friendly, personalised and dedicated way from start to finish. Although the whole process - from offer and sales memorandum till exchange of contracts and completion of the sale at the agreed price - took approximately 12 weeks, Umar and Angelo have always kept me informed of every single step towards achieving a successful sale. It was often just a text or quick phone call - even on a Sunday - which kept me motivated throughout the process. I believe that with John D Wood I have been in very good hands and would therefore highly recommend them.

They are the worst letting agent we’ve ever dealt with, do not rent or buy with this company, complete incompetence at all levels of management. They will cost you money, time, stress & potentially your health, it is not worth it! When we moved out we also recieved our deposit back in full just for clarity. (Though it took much longer than it should have)

We have recently had to move during COVID. It was incredibly stressful and made worse when we found ourselves unable to access our deposit back through no fault of our own. At first I was not happy with the responses I was getting until Rupert Simmonds stepped in. He went above and beyond to cut through red tape and help us to get our deposit back in full. Rupert is a credit to John D Wood!

Really bad when it comes to services. My deposit is stuck with them for more than 2 months. Always some lame excuse for not paying back. There is an property manager named Moesha, who will never address any query but will just be harsh I hope to give below 1 star but that the least i can go.

Claire has been excellent in helping us find a rental properly from abroad. She was super flexible with our requirements and timing and always kept us in the loop once we found the property. She did an extra video viewing and asked many questions to current tenants on our behalf. I would highly recommend Claire and her team and if were to rent again would definitely use them!

I have a property which is fully managed by JohnDWoods , they couldn't renew my contract due to sick leave of their employee , they cant solve my problem I have to reach to tenant by myself and trying to solve the issues , 20 days pasts the contract end date .

This company make an appearance of disorganization, but could not possible stay in business, if they were, indeed, as disorganized as they appear. Having managed to fend me off for three days whilst I was house-hunting in France; I finally found that the gem of a house I had found - in Perpignan - was taken off the market; in order that it could be purchased by a relative of one of the partners/directors of John D Wood. Worse than inefficient and unprofessional ... very close to fraudulent! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

GoogleI recently bought a flat from John D wood and I can't thank Jane enough as she's been absolutely amazing and great throughout the process. I was a first time buyer and didn't know anything about buying a property, but Jane was so nice and patient with me answering all the questions in a timely manner. I was also very unlucky with solicitor as she never communicated or returned emails and very unprofessional. Jane was there and helped me to hold of my solicitor and even informed me of any updates from seller's solicitor!! I was lucky to have Jane as my agent and I highly recommend her and John D wood. Also, I want to thank Vincent for doing the property viewing for me, as he was also very friendly unlike other some rude agents.

I rented a property which was managed by this company. The agents made promises they did not meet and the management agents are extremely poor. There was a flood and the information provided by the company turned out to be in accurate so they have refused to reimburse me for the hotel and all costs. I have had to instruct my lawyers to start a court process.

GoogleWe are moving to the UK for a work assignment and needed to rent accomodations for the period. We contacted Tim Bishop at John D Woods via the Internet. He provided us with information about a range of properties meeting our requirements and connected us with Weybridge agent James Mumford. James showed us many properties over several days. He was thorough and professional throughout, providing us with lots of valuable information about the area and the rentals market. There was no pressure, and he is clearly very sympathetic to the fact that different people have different needs in what they are looking for in a home. He listened carefully to our preferences and helped us narrow in on some good possibilities. Within 4 days we negotiated and secured a very suitable property. I would strongly recommend him for anyone looking for a rental in Surrey.

GoogleA thoroughly professional, courteous and friendly service delivered by James Mumford at the Weybridge branch. Relocating from overseas to a new area is a challenge, but James kept in touch with us throughout the process, was quick to identify what our property requirements were, catered exactly to them (unlike other agents who sent us everything that came on their books regardless of the suitability) and ensured that the little time we had to view properties was well used with no time wasted. Its fair to say that James restored our faith in property agents :). Make this office your first point of call when looking for a rental in the area.

GoogleWould thoroughly recommend Weybridge John D Wood & Co, and in particular James Mumford. A very professional service from start to finish and he was instrumental in securing our desired property. In the past I have been hassled by other estate agents on a daily basis with inappropriate properties in the wrong locations. James on the other hand fully listened to what our requirements were and only got in touch if a property matched ours. I wish many more estate agents took this approach. Overall, James handling of the viewings, negotiations and the paperwork were so efficient that we completed in little over a week.
