We have very recently sold a property through Philip Bannister & Co and I would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff involved but especially to Sue and Jennie. The property was marketed and sold within a couple of weeks and from that point Jennie kept us regularly updated ( as well as chasing up the solicitors ). Nothing seemed to he too much trouble ! We would not hesitate to recommend Philip Bannister & Co.

GoogleI have used Bannisters to both buy and sell houses and I have always found them to be superb. The sales team (Ian, Charlotte and Mat)are friendly and efficient and provide an excellent service and always making the process of selling or buying as stress free as possible. If selling any house in the future I would always recommend using Bannisters to do so.

GoogleExcellent service from Ian, Mathew and Charlotte at the Elloughton office of Philip Banister. A valuation above what I expected, which was achieved. Very good communication from the team and effective support at all stages of the sales process. Ian also made some very useful recommendations of surveyors and removals firms, which I took up, and in both cases I had excellent service from the people recommended. I’d be happy to recommend Philip Banister to anyone wanting to sell a house locally.

GoogleSelling a house is a big project and a massive decision. Like most I invited a few agents to get a valuation and on the face of it they all look the same. It's when you talk to them and more important listen to what they are meaning not what they are saying that you weed out the false promises and clouds of smoke with mirrors. Philip Bannister came himself to my home on two occasions and I found him wholly personable and pleasant but above all credible and although his valuation wasn't the highest it was the most honest. He didn't talk price discounting on any visit or try to pull my home down to make me feel like it should be cheaper unlike others did. After all any fool can sell when giving it away and if the fees sound too good to be true at a fixed rate you know they are already thinking of price reduction. Well Bannisters never did that to me once. Always respectful but not afraid to wound with a few truths that needed airing. I have to say I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone serious about selling their house for a sensible price with bucket loads of honesty and support. Oh and yes they sold my house within 8 weeks in the toughest market in the winter of climbing interest rates. And that's as they say that !!

GooglePhilip Bannister & Co sold my house within 2 weeks of it going online. The viewings were well organised and attended by Ian. Unfortunately, the chain broke beneath me which delayed things but throughout the whole process Charlotte kept me updated every step of the way and was faultless in keeping things moving as quickly as possible. I can’t thank her enough for her help and advice. I would recommend Bannisters to anyone thinking of selling their house.

Something told me it was my property’s fault…..You can prepare all you like to sell what you think is lovely; You want the most, of course. The agent values and judges the market. You hold out for your top end judgement, - after all you know your property best, don’t you? And you think you’re right as the agent continues to show highly numerous viewings. No offers. The market decides. Why didn’t I listen earlier to my agent who spends 9-5 every week for 18 yrs, honing his local knowledge? In the end, I “adjusted” the Selling Price. Viewers came but only 1 (reduced) offer. This is where Ian ran the course of the sale with astute experience. He gauged the situation of the purchaser to his selling advantage & managed the purchaser against their pending query’s and advised me with alternative options with scenarios of outcomes, when I had to make deal progressive decisions. This is where the action was. Ian was like the conductor of an orchestra, pulling the instruments to play together… but to my advantage. I always felt he was on my side. I could trust his judgement implicitly to put to the purchaser, my wants, in the way that he’d get the right result. The process wasn’t simple because of the nature of the buyer and, because my property “had issues”, - but he dit it! Selling is a hurdle, but I felt Ian took on hurdles at each bend. An agent has to bat with both sides, but I always knew Ian’s hits were for our sale, keeping it on course. Can’t thank him enough for getting this one through. Thoroughly, brilliantly, skilful…. and with humour when it was needed. The Bannisters team was there too for when Ian “had to eat”; Will definitely be asking Ian at BANNISTERS to sell again for us.

We have recently sold our property with phillip banister and Co. Sue was absolutely fantastic. She made the whole process stress free and manageable. From the moment she valued our house to completion...and there was a few curve balls thrown in along the way! Let me explain that I have been in sales for most of my working life. This inevitably makes me a potentially difficult client to please. Our experiences with estate agents in the past has not been good. From the outset I wanted to deal with one person - a single point of contact - for the sale of our property. In previous experiences much fell between the cracks as we dealt with whoever picked up the phone or happened to be in the office that day. Bannisters chose Charlotte to deal with these potentially difficult customers (us).From the outset she came across as a very personable young lady to deal with and quickly established our trust that she would serve her company and us well.As things transpired the house that our family have purchased was also being handled by Bannisters.There was a potential complication in the transactions because the house that my wife and I owned was being sold while our daughter was the purchaser of the new house. Whist confidentiality wasn't an issue within our family, Charlotte acted properly throughout, recognising that she had two separate clients when it would be more common to have only one.A word of advice to anyone considering which estate agent to use. A single point of contact is to my mind crucial to a good relationship between agent and client.
