First Class Service

We have just sold our property through Philip Bannister & Co in Hessle and cannot praise them highly enough for the excellent service we have received. We had contact with Nicola, Leah and Sue and were looked after incredibly well by all three. Our calls were always answered or returned very quickly, any questions answered and nothing ever appeared to be too much trouble. We would highly recommend Bannisters and thank them for their first class service.

January sale

In January we completed the sale of our house and Bannisters’s could not have made this any smoother. During the stressful days (no fault of estate agents) I was reassured and kept up to date throughout. Nothing was too much for Nicola who dealt with our property from the beginning. What would we have done without the amazing Sue!!!!

With a not so great experience with another estate agents, we decided to put our house on the market with Phillip bannister’s. From the first phone call to having our house valued and photos taken by sue we knew we had made the right decision. Sue could not have made our house selling and buying experience any better. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process. We were kept updated regularly and made sure we felt we could always call with any queries we had. We felt listened to and never felt like “just another client” Sue even called the day before our wedding to congratulate us and wish us the best. Our house buying was on a bit of a time scale and sue did absolutely everything she was able to which ensured we stuck to this, even when it all seemed impossible, sue made it possible. It truly was an amazing experience and we can honestly say this was all down to Sue. 100% would recommend Phillip bannister to everyone, you really can tell a difference between an estate agents that are in it for more money/ business and a estate agents that truly are in it for the right reasons and that is definitely phillip bannister.

Very professional and supportive service

We can't thanks Jennie enough for the support and reassurance she gave us throughout the process. Philip Bannisters were not even our Estate Agent but gave us way more support than our own. I have been dealing with Philip Bannister's Hessle office for the past 8 years with both rental properties and the sale of property. I cannot praise them highly enough.They are all extremely professional and efficient but more than that they are kind, helpful and always have time to answer any questions. First Rate Estate Agents! To be honest, at the time of picking our agents we did think there was much to differentiate between the three 'finalists'. This turned out to be totally wrong... the service from Bannisters was exceptional, well exceeding our expectations from start to finish! Frequent update calls showing they had been working hard in the background chasing all parties involved without rest (Ian in the sales office being the main driving force it seemed)! IAN, - A DIAMOND WITH MANY FACETS Something told me it’s my property’s fault….. You can prepare all you like to sell what you think is lovely; You want the most, of course. The agent values and judges the market. You hold out for your top end judgement, - after all you know your property best, don’t you? And you think you’re right as the agent continues to show highly numerous viewings. No offers. The market decides. Why didn’t I listen earlier to my agent who spends 9-5 every week for 18 yrs, honing his local knowledge? In the end, I “adjusted” the Selling Price. Viewers came but only 1 ( reduced) offer. This is where Ian ran the course of the sale with astute experience. He gauged the situation of the purchaser to his selling advantage & managed the purchaser against their pending query’s and ahead, advised me with alternative options with scenarios of outcomes, when I had to make deal progressive decisions. This is where the action was. Ian was like the conductor of an orchestra, pulling the instruments to play together… but to my advantage. I always felt he was on my side. I could trust his judgement implicitly to put to the purchaser, my wants, in the way that he’d get the right result. The process wasn’t simple because of the nature of the buyer and, because my property “had issues”, - but he dit it! Selling is a hurdle, but I felt Ian took on hurdles at each bend. An agent has to bat to both sides, but I always knew Ian’s hits were for our sale, keeping it on course. Can’t thank him enough for getting this one through. Thoroughly, brilliantly, skilful…. and with humour when it was needed. (Of course, the agents’ team were there when Ian “had to eat!) Will definitely be asking Ian at BANNISTERS to sell again for us.

We have just purchased a bungalow from Philip Bannister Estate Agents, which is shared ownership, they are a little more complex, but this firm and especially Sue McAuley the Branch Manager and Valuer, were absolutely superb, she helped us throughout, liaising with the seller and the solicitors ensuring the sale went through as quickly as possible and assisting us to deal with all the bumps in the process, Sue has a conspicuous set of skills and provides the best customer service in all spheres, as do the rest of the staff. The staff are a credit to the firm and thus we highly recommend this firm.
