From the majority of reviews Sellwell has an overwhelmingly good reputation. However both my experiences with them haven't been positive. It's unfortunate that due the monopoly of properties within the Worsley Walkden area they look after we will inevitably be in contact again. Hopefully third times the charm. My experience in 2018 was poor buying my first house. But this time has compelled me to write in about them. I enquired about a property between Christmas and new year. I was assured I'd be sent an email confirming the dates, this didn't happen and it took me ringing them January 3rd (morning of the viewing) to ensure the visit went ahead. The reason I hadn't had the email is the email address wasn't address correct. Within the three calls I've had with Sellwell regarding the property in question, they had to re-enter my details each time. Including name, spelling, and if I was a first time buyer... despite my records being on there previously as they were eventually able to tell me my property at the moment, because I'd bought my current home through them. During the first call they were more bothered about getting my current house on the market than getting me a viewing despite me explaining I didn't need to sell this house to purchase the one in question. Begs the question what the GDPR policy of Sellwell is like? Coming to January 3rd , what I will say is the lady that showed us the property was utterly lovely. No hard sell, no fluffing answers. Just thoroughly professional. We viewed the property at 11:45am and spent 25 minutes looking round. By 12:46 I had a call informing me an offer had been put in. I said I'd like to discuss things with my partner to ensure we'd like to progress as she's 7 months pregnant but we are very keen and would most likely be making an offer and I was assured I'd get the afternoon to think. By 1:29pm the very same day I'd been told the property was off the market. I'd understand if a chain was involved, however the property was vacant. Whilst I appreciate this isn't entirely the estate agents fault the lack of control in regards to the seller and the consultation throughout has been thoroughly disappointing. Twice with Sellwell, twice unhelpful.

My house buying journey is over 1 year. I bought my first house through sell well estate agent. I am quite pleased with their service. I booked a last minute additional viewing on my Annual leave. The team arrange my viewing quickly. As I am working full time, difficult to arrange specific date/ time with other estate agents. I have got five star experience. Their response is very quick. I cannot praise the team at Sell Well enough - especially Clair who was fantastic throughout what became a very long and complicated process. Constant communication, great updates, even though Sell Well were the agent acting on my purchase - I felt like Clair was on my side the whole time. When we hit bottle necks Clair was always ready with a solution or advice, and without her I don’t know if we would have got the purchase over the line. Fantastic to work with.

We recently sold our house in Ellenbrook through Sellwell. From start to finish, we found the team to be friendly, helpful and professional. Our house had a lovely write up and was very well represented in the brochure, and online. We were lucky to sell to the first couple who viewed, and who offered over the asking price. Extremely happy with Mel and her team.I previously had bad experience with other agencies in south Manchester with 0 communication or trying to sell additional services than genuinely helping but sell well are the best agents in Manchester. They are responsive over emails /calls. They helped in negotiating with the price and were excellent in chasing stakeholders regularly and pushing sale on time. It’s a shame that they are not ubiquitous in Manchester and should think about expanding in South/central Manchester as the agents dominating in south Manchester are hopeless.Thanks for playing a huge role in creating positive experience for us.

Sell well valued our house and Karen the lady was polite and very nice but we felt she over valued our property in the current climate and decided not to put ours up for sale with them. A house we have now purchased was up for sale with Sell well. We did not find it easy to get a viewing after contacting them as they didn’t return calls. I didn’t find them helpful when trying to put in offers either. The different staff don’t appear to share or store information so that they have it to recall when you call up so it gets frustrating. I didn’t like the attitude of some of the staff towards me or how they seemed to belittle another member of their staff to me on the phone ( a oh you told her, well that doesn’t count sort of thing). They also told me we hadn’t sold our house if we didn’t have the memorandum of sale when we had. I found talking to them stressful. In the end we just talked directly to our vendor as saved miscommunications via sell well. Mel was helpful at the last few days when there were issues with things our vendor needed to do for their own purchase to us allow us to exchange and complete on their house. Holly was always lovely when I spoke to her and easy to talk to. Overall though myself and my husband wouldn’t like to have to deal with Sell well again either to buy or sell a house.

Sell Well recently sold a property for us. We obtained 3 valuations and Sell Well were spot on, one other agent undervalued the property considerably.
