First class treatment

I had a great experience from start to finish. They kept us in the loop with anything and we’re happy to take our calls and explain some things we didn’t understand. When we went to the office to sign paperwork again the staff were happy to explain how the process would work also there is a lovely cafe and a sweet little dog at reception, we would definitely recommend them and ourselves would use them again in the future.

I live in the north east of Scotland and have moved home several times and have always used local solicitors but this time I opted for mov8 and I dealt with a solicitor who was based in Glasgow. Yes, I had my doubts with the fact I could not have a face to face to face conversation but my doubts were quashed very quickly as Alan, the solicitor assigned to my case was very quick to respond to any queries or doubts that I had. His vast years of experience dealing in the property market was a huge relief and he quickly gained my respect and trust after a short period. A true professional, who was open and honest and hospitable. I never met you Alan, but thanks from both of us for securing our new home 👍

I can’t fault the service I have received, and all for an upfront fixed fee. Photos were great, all details explained clearly, always someone on hand to help and they are open later than conventional estate agents. It made no difference that they are based 30 miles from me, service was still top notch.

Couldn’t have been worse

I am giving one star because I can’t give no stars. Trying to organise a viewing was a nightmare, being passed from person to person to person. I gave up and reached out to the lawyer and he organised for someone to contact me. Then I noted my interest and it went to closing without us being told. “Apologies, the automatic message didn’t reach you”. Was their reply. I have no more words for how unprofessional my experience was.

Very big mistake of a unsuccessful/successful offer on property.

Was contacted by my solicitor from a different firm that my offer on a property was unsuccessful. Then 27th April got contacted by my solicitor asking if I can move into the property on the 2nd June. Solicitor got in contact with this Estate Agents and they notified my solicitor saying my offer was actually accepted on there system so I thought I then had my offer accepted on the property. I told my solicitor to double check that that is correct but was told to relax your offer had been accepted. Then I got a phonecall around 1730 on the 27th April to say unfortunately your offer wasn't accepted and it was just a mix up in communication and a mistake in there system that they accepted 2 offers. Estate Agents manager got in contact with me on the 28th April to explain how this could have happened and appeared to put blame on a new start and said they would be conducting in house training. Would avoid this Estate Agents if possible as if I hadn't asked my solicitor to double check I could have applied for a mortgage and a hard credit check on my credit score to then find out down the line I actually do not have the property. To go through the frustration and disappointment of not having my offer accepted to them being told it was actually accepted to then be told AGAIN that my offer was unsuccessful due to a mistake on the Estate Agents end is totally unacceptable and shows a complete incompetence on there behalf. The fact they have appeared to blame a new start for this massive mistake also speaks volumes as surely there should be some sort of oversight by senior personnel of this work. Hope no one has to experience something like I did.Jack Cairns

For the first day calling MOV8 to get a rough idea of valuation of my property the service has been great.
