Unprofessional and not to be trusted

Mov8 seems to offer prospective buyers one valuation for marketing their property directly with them and then they go behind your back to builders and provide you with a low ball PX valuation. Which raises the question are their valuations to be trusted in their first place? Are they professional? I have raised these issues and asked for an explanation to be fobbed off, so my guidance here is try another agency where you may find more trustworthy and honourable professionals that can stand behind their word.

Sale of Two BTL Properties.

Having been a house builder for several years and having dealt with more than my fair share of Estate Agents I would have to rate Mov8 the best I have dealt with on every level!! when it came to selling two of my own properties within the last month.My initial meeting with Scott was informative and clear on their services and commitment offered which they more than lived up to. The follow on staff were of a very high caliber and could not do enough to help, and no wonder they secured sales at levels I was more than happy with!! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them, everything was transparent and seamless through out!! Thank you soo much.

We were unfortunate to have one of the worst experience with this solicitor firm. We were given a trainee who had limited experience. Our move was delayed just before Christmas with less than 24hours notice and it took them 6 weeks to agree a new date. We were told that it was because someone in the chain had gone on holiday which seems implausible. Things were such last minute they didn’t send standard observations till 4weeks in to the 8 week lead time which led to them chasing things right till the last minute. Then 1 week prior to our new move date we found our mortgage had lapsed as the solicitor had not actioned something they should have. We had to get a new deal in less than 24hours. We complained and to date have no answers to any of the issues. It was escalated to a senior manager Mr Gordon who said he would provide a response in ten working days. Here we are 6 weeks later and multiple chasers and he has not responded. We have taken it directly to the SLCC. It’s been a horrendous time and the firm were nothing short of shocking. I would not recommend them to anyone.Also for anyone who sees their response saying they are unaware of any complaints this is not true. We have taken to the SLCC and they have also failed to respond so it is going to be investigated as a breach of standards. This is now 6 months later. They can quite clearly see my name and surely know what complaints they have open with the SLCC. If they don’t this shows how disorganised they are. I won’t be engaging with them directly any further as they had months of opportunity to do so.

MOV8 helped us buy our new build property in what must be a record turnaround time of 4 or so weeks. Mairi Rasuli​ was our case manager throughout this hectic period. She was always available to help and assist (as well as calm any fears or issues we had) From the first conversations and introductions, Mairi was incredibly professional and exceptionally helpful. We had an almost impossible turnaround and deadline but Mairi was with us every step of the way. She was able to break things down for us and help navigate us through the process of both selling our property and purchasing our new one. I recently sold my buy to let property through mov8 and couldn't be more disappointed , angry and frustrated at the whole situation. Great at the beginning when dealing with the sale team but as soon as I was moved to the conveyancing department,the nightmare began. I had 2 sales falling through and I got charged £350 Extra eventually it got sold at the third attempt. The problem with this is that at no point I have got advised on what to do with the various issues but instead I had to chase my solicitor for info and advice but the response was always very vague. Eventually I spoke to one of my friend who he has properties and advised on what to do which fixed the problem and allowed me to proceed with the sale. Also, I have got moved to 3 different solicitors Which made the whole situation more confusing. One solicitor went on holiday while we were on concluding the missives and failed to let me know!!!!! All in all a very bad experience. On positive note I have some other properties which I will sell in the near future and I know who not to choose 2022. I have now purchased a new home with a small estate agent and I can safely say that experience was by far better. I strongly recommend everyone who wants to purchase their first home especially to ask lots of questions before embarking on a journey like this.not everyone is the same. I would like to say a massive thank you to Alan Craig who was my case manager. From start to finish Alan was on hand to offer support and answer any question throughout the sale of my property. At times Alan had to overcome some complications with this sale and he did so with great professionalism. I was given a quote from Mov8 via Yopa

I was given a quote from Mov8 via Yopa, which then doubled in price. Didn’t really have much contact with them until the end. Which is fine as I know they were doing what they had to do. The vendors refused to hand over the keys to our property on moving day and also did lots of damage. I was advised by Nigel to send the details over within 5 days. Which I did but a trainee solicitor took over and after around £4000 worth of damage I was told I was entitled to £0. I felt Mov8 had been paid and did not care. It would have been very different if I hadn’t of paid them, I’m sure. Very disappointed when I’ve got holes in walls and apparently it was there when I viewed. Time dated pictures do not lie but someone in this company does.In response to your reply - I appreciate the vendors solicitor said they would not be providing any refund/money back, looking at the evidence we provided from time stamped photos and videos provided to us from the vendors you should of supported us and thought harder for this to be resolved in our favour. In light of your poor response I have reduced the stars further and contacted another solicitor company regarding this.
