Excellent service - from letting through to sales

After disappointing service from another company, we moved to DJA who managed the letting of our flat for a number of years. When the time came to sell the flat, DJA seamlessly went from letting agent mode to estate agent mode and made the whole process effortless. This was especially helpful seeing we live far away. Good communication, a good urgency about the whole process, well done them.

I have been a Tennant of djalexander…

I have been a Tennant of djalexander since they took over from braemore and am currently using them to relocate .In my experience they have been positive and very helpful.Harry Gibson in particular has been a friendly, calming voice at the end of the phone in a very stressful time .Always quick to respond whether by email or by phone, I have been very grateful for his 'going above and beyond 'attitude in a tricky situation. Not what I expected from a bigger company, a genuine personal touch.

Landlord for 25 years

We first let out a flat through DJA in 1996 and now let out four flats through them. They haven't been perfect - no organisation is going to get it right first time every time. But the fact we've stuck with them for over 25 years speaks for itself; and we have tried other letting agents on occasion, who have been a whole lot worse!Biggest gripe over the years was the performance of their in-house maintenance partner, Benaird, which charged high rates for poor workmanship. This appears to have been addressed, and the change of ownership with the system changes they're bringing in will hopefully iron out any other wrinkles.

Renting a flat with DJ Alexander

I rented this flat through DJ Alexander for 18 months. There were some glitches at the time of moving in, but these were quickly sorted, with Lisa Grieve in particular providing outstanding help and service. For the remainder of the rental, and including my move out, DJ Alexander was extremely responsive and provided excellent service I can recommend DJ Alexander very highly, and have since rented another flat through them.

Patient and Helpful Sales Process

The sales process took much longer than anticipated through no fault of DJ Alexander. They stuck with me and were very patient with hiccups in the process. They were easy, friendly and positive to deal with and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We didn't end up sleeping in our car

Had a lot of trouble with other letting agents since moving to Edinburgh from Manchester as we came unemployed and rejected any offers we made, but DJ Alexander were always professional, personable and reliable at every viewing and very helpful over the phone when booking viewings.Evie Hunter showed us round numerous flats over the last three week making it a personal mission to find us a place before we were kicked out of our Airbnb. She is an absolute diamond and a Godsend.

Our experience of flat viewing with DJ Alexander was great! As first time renters this process can be a bit daunting, but the property manager helping us, Gemma, was amazing. Provided good communication with me before and after the viewing, answered all questions we had and was very friendly. We will definitely continue to use DJ Alexander during our flat search!

Bad customer relation

Fine home - excellent customer servicesTransferred to D J Alexander and experienced poor and unhelpful customer serviceThey make up their own rules and make you pay additional charges for them to bank transfer money to you if you make a mistake saying it’s a service out of lease. They charged me %20 of the money they owed me.

Harry Gibson has been so so nice to me. He was kind and very considerate and he was very understanding about my situation. He spoke in a way that made my day as my property search is getting me sad. He lifted my spirits today. And he even suggested ways to make my relocation to Edinburgh smooth! Wow, Thanks alot Harry
