Unresponsive letting agent

Since DJ Alexander bought out the letting agency that I have used for the last decade, the service I have received as a landlord has deteriorated from better than satisfactory to poor. While individual members of staff that I have dealt with have been helpful and courteous, the company's team-oriented organisation means that it is hard to know who to deal with, and no one takes responsibility for resolving issues that I raise about the service I am receiving. I rarely receive replies to emails, leaving a backlog of unresolved matters to accumulate that is causing stress and dissatisfaction. My impression is that DJ Alexander has far more clients to service than it has staff to cope.

Quick sell

I never imagined my flat would sell so quickly and it was a pleasure to work with Ruth in the process: very professional, kind and positive. What I imagined to be a stressful experience turned out to be very pleasant thanks to her energy. I would highly recommend DJ Alexander if you are thinking of selling a flat.

Great service and guided us through hiccups!

We sold our city centre flat with DJ this summer, with Sarah McIntyre leading the sale. We had our offer on a new place accepted on a Monday and DJs managed to get us on the market by the end of the week which was amazing. We then accepted a verbal offer by the following Friday. Unfortunately this person then delayed and eventually withdrew their offer but thankfully Sarah did a great job keeping other interested parties in the loop whilst we were awaiting the outcome and we were able to set a successful closing date the following week. Unfortunately the successful bidder later renegotiated their price due to a Buy-To-Let mortgage valuation but again Sarah handled all the communication brilliantly and despite the potential stress we felt very well taken care of. The sale was finally complete at the end of Sept and we wouldn't hesitate to use Sarah & DJs again, thanks!

Moving to Edinburgh

I've just arranged to let a flat for my family through DJ Alexander and the process couldn't have been more straightforward and efficient. Both the agent who showed me the property (Zosia Mlynska) and the Application advisor (Erin French) were extremely helpful and assisted me at several points when I had queries. Thank you both, and the rest of your team, for making what could've been such a stressful process very easy and swift!

Pleasant experience with Laura Mctaggart

I would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation towards Laura Mctaggart who helped us in every way possible for us to be able to rent a property here at Edinburgh. She has been extremely responsive and has been following up with us from time to time. Really appreciate her effort in explaining everything in detail to us. This is our first visit to the UK hence, it took us some time to be able to rent a place(16 days to be exact) which I wished could have been sped up as my husband had to put up in a budget hotel during this time due to his work there whilst me and the kids stayed at our relatives house in Manchester.Nevertheless, we have finally signed the tenancy agreement and will be moving to our new home tomorrow! Thank you again Laura for making this possible.

Great letting experience

Evie, the property manager, provided care, concern, and essential speed in showing and corresponding about the property. She was flexible and paid consistent and persistent attention to my requests concerning the tenancy application and agreement terms. The application advisors, Gill and Finlay, were equally informative and considerate of my time and concerns during the tenant application process. They made this conventionally tedious experience far easier and more enjoyable than expected. Thank you, Evie, Gill, and Finlay, for all your effort and time in helping me secure this ideal unit!
