GoogleA really great estate agency, Andy, Debbie and Henry were all fantastic. First they helped my dad sell his house , bringing well qualified and suitable buyers over and then running a smooth sale. Andy also found my dad a new place to move to (off market) and ensured everything went smoothly. I’d highly recommend this team. Professional but fun. But most importantly, well connected and embedded into the surrounding communities.

GoogleHenry was very helpful, and one of the rare estate agents that want you to find the right home, not the most expensive one. We appreciated Henry during the buying process and he was on hand during tricky moments when our buyer fell through making sure the deal continued. GoogleJake Houchen is just brilliant. We had our viewing with Jake and from the get go he was so welcoming and approachable. After the viewing we had put forward an offer on the property and Jake kept us informed on any updates along the way which put our minds at ease through what would typically be, quite a stressful process. Once the reference checks had all been completed, Jake gave us the good news and we arranged a suitable day and time to collect the keys. On key collection day, he was as brilliant as he was on the first viewing. He gave us a beautiful move in box with some settling in supplies which we've never had from any other letting agent in the past. Beautiful touch. We really could not have wished for a better experience. Professional, personal and warming. Thank you again so much Jake, we will definitely be popping in for a cuppa once we're settled in! Chelsea

GoogleAndy Smith @ Castles have been amazing throughout the whole process. In a chain with other agents the dedication and focus of the Castles team was exceptional and honestly think we would still be trying to exchange if it wasn't for them. We chose the agent as trusted them to sell the property but this is only part of the job. We did not realise that the part on the run up to exchange is far more important and you need an agent you can trust and who will ensure that the process goes as smoothly as possible. For this Andy was an absolute legend and I cannot praise highly enough. If you need an estate agent don't look any further than Castles.

GoogleBy far the best estate agents I have experienced within my lifetime. I was looking for a rental for myself and my 2 children and was met by a very friendly and professional man called Jake Houchen. From the first viewing until the sigbed tenancy Jake was not only helpful and polite but was extremely supportive and reassuring throughout the whole process. I can't recommend them enough! Nothing was a problem and everything was handled with great efficiency. Thank you so much!

Google5 Stars for Debbie Winship. From first engagement to selling our house i cannot thank Debbie enough. Thorough, professional and a pleasure to do business with. Debbie took the time to understand our property; its potential and achieved what we wanted for it which has allowed us to move forward and into a dream home. If you are going to use Castles as your estate agent, then ensure Debbie takes care and works her magic. Very few people like Debbie exist..The after sales service was second to none. Very rare you find someone who actually goes above and beyond after a house sale that Debbie delivered.

GoogleAndy, the Eaton Bray manager, was very quick to marry up a buyer, already known to them, to my property and a sale agreement was reached within a couple of days. The Castles Team were all very friendly and helpful and chased the transaction through to conclusion as quickly as they could, as both buyer and seller were keen to complete as soon as possible. This is by far the worst agency I have ever dealt with. Completely useless, unprofessional, and disrespectful. They waste time, waste resources, and treat people like they don’t matter. Nothing works, no one cares, and you’ll only leave frustrated and angry. If I could give 0 stars, I would! When someone is in real need of shelter and support, they only seem to care about money, rules, and paperwork. Only profit and bureaucracy matter to them! At least this is what they have proven! It is heart breaking to see how they treat those who are most vulnerable. I honestly hope that karma gives them the same treatment they gave to us, because no one deserves to be ignored and dehumanized the way they do in special Jake Houchen manager itself! I'm wondering who hired him!

GoogleI am very happy with the service provided by Castles. Jake Houchen was very polite and professional, kept us updated with regular emails and phone calls. He would respond quickly if I sent him a text message (even at 11pm). He also devoted his private time to us and provided us with the keys to the house on Sunday when the agency was closed Top notch customer service! Highly recommended.

GoogleWe woke this morning to find a gas leak downstairs. We reported the leak on the portal along with the gas company. We also discovered a backed up drain outside at the same time! I spoke with Lumina at the agents who has been really helpful providing support throughout the day and now both the gas leak and drain issue has been all sorted. Thanks Lumina!

GoogleMy experience. Within moments of them taking over from Giblins my rent went up by over a third. Despite knowing I was out the country from Dec 22 to March 23, and previously using email to contact me, a hand written letter is delivered through the post telling me my rent is going up. Apparently this rent increase by stealth is LEGAL. So beware, they are not the most honest company out there and I've lost £300 of my deposit as a result. Oh and the black mold issue reported was never fixed, in fact after moving out, another couple move straight in. They'll likely blame them for it too rather than fix the issue. Within a few months, 3 renter's (myself and the neighbours) moved out....oh and my other friend was moved out after promising a new kitchen as the original was dire, that never manifested either. To top it off, I get a leaflet in post from my return to the UK from Castles that said "Landlords, we get you premium prices" yes, by robbing your tenants blind. I was at my old place for 13 years. For just £200 more a month I swapped my 3 bed FLAT, to a 5 bed DETACHED house. STAY AWAY, ILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN. Shop around, you'll find better deals and better agents out there!! In further response to your reply, we kitted out the new bathroom, the only room that was decorated in 13 years. This was done so as to keep the rent lower. The tiles were falling off the wall and were dangerous at this point.The rent was lower due to the kitchen being from 1980 and draws falling to bits. New landlord, didn't even visit us, or look at the property, the black mold issue was rife. What you failed to mention, is that you'd emailed me several times while I was away, so why not when the rent was suddenly put up. Giving me 3 days to find rent increase due in March. So thanks for that!! Totally unprofessional. Let's hope you learn from this, I'm still totally disgusted by the stealth way you did it.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. We are sorry that you feel so un-happy with the service that you have received. What your review does fail to mention is that your rent was reviewed after your previous landlord sold the property to a new landlord. The new landlord transferred the management of your property to ourselves following that transaction. The reason they transferred the management was due to the previous agent never reviewing the rent. The reason you had such a large increase is that the rent wasn’t reviewed for years at a time. Also it’s not underhand to serve a notice of a rent increase through the door, it’s how we are obliged to deliver the document. Once again we’re sorry you feel that this hasn’t been dealt with very well and we wish you luck in your new home.
