Leaders Sovereign Harbour have been the letting agent for our property in Eastbourne since we bought it, more that 10 years ago. We have known Nikki from the start and have built a good relationship with her. We really value her extensive knowledge and experience and always find her advice straightforward and down to earth. We have got to know Fay more recently and she too is 100% reliable and efficient. My wife and I rented a property in Sovereign Harbour via the Leaders Sovereign Harbour office for approximately 7 months. Upon entering the office initially, we were made welcome by a very friendly and helpful member of their staff. We were then directed to the letting manager Nikki. Absolutely disgusting. They advertise expensive flats to rent which are full of worms and I believe they know about it but they won't tell you, you will only discover when you move in. I have just rented a flat at 92 Macquarie Quay from Nikki Kirk and Jessica Budgen at 975 pcm and on the day I moved in I discovered there is plenty of worms in the flat. They delayed availability date, probably because flat was treated against worms, but they did tell me the reason was that tenant wanted to stay longer, though I recall she was saying she wanted to move out earlier, as we initially agreed (later they phoned me that move in must be delayed) . So I want to cancel the agreement but they say I will now have to pay 300 extra + cover all rent and other costs until they find another poor people to get the money from (and now even if I ask Leaders to treat the worms further it is me who will pay the rent and enjoy this unhealthy conditions). Therefore, basically putting me in a horrendous position when it is in my interest to lie to the potential tenants that flat is OK, otherwise they want to charge me for all the time flat will stay empty. And I believe it should stay empty and be treated to the core, if anyone could live hear at all. I am leaving the flat anyway, and they've put the flat already on the market. I would love to hear from the people inquiring about this property currently if Nikki is telling them about worms. Avoid, otherwise you may rent not what you wish for. Nothing but praise and thanks for Nikki and her team at Leaders Waterside for looking after our housing needs for over 10 years in Eastbourne. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done very professionally and with a smile, which always goes a long way! We have moved out of the area now but will always have fond memories of the North Harbour and especially the team at Leaders who made us feel at home in all of the properties we rented in our time on the south coast.
