Having used various estate agents to sell my family home I was recommended by a neighbour to use Nicholas James and was so impressed with their professional and caring ethos. From the initial consultation with James we knew that we were going to be looked after especially after having had such negative experiences and been given such false hope from previous agents. We were always kept informed during the whole process and even if that meant having conversations late at night we honestly felt that we were the only clients because of the dedication of all of the team members. Nick was extremely helpful to me as the buyer (despite me not being the one paying the fees). Nick was cheerful, reassuring and optimistic. Replies to phone calls and e-mails were always prompt. Negotiations with the seller always very transparent which all helped to move the purchase along smoothly. Office staff were always reliable and highly professional. Nothing seemed too much bother. Highly recommend using these guys. Recently used them to buy our first home and was informed "we were in good hands" by a friend who already knew of them when I said who we were buying through. They were not wrong and as first time buyers we had a plenty of questions to ask and processes to learn. Any questions we had were always answered quickly and in a manner we would understand with this being our first buy. Having dealt with a very challenging purchase given Covid 19, Nicholas James were always on hand to provide updates and advice; which as a first time buyer was very reassuring. James was helpful from start to finish. Of course we were using lots of different agents at the start as we arranged multiple viewings over town. James was instantly more accommodating, helpful, and friendly than the others. When issues cropped up we knew James would be on the end of the phone to calmly explain our options. I can confidently say that it's unlikely the sale would have gone through had James not been as hard working as he was. I'm glad the seller didn't use a different agent as we probably wouldn't have just moved into our fist flat! Everyone always imparts the importance of having a good solictitor you can trust but what we found is that it equally if not more important to have that relationship with your agent. From begining to end we had up to daily updates from them at times when we needed them the most, and after our first buyer pulled out after 5 months and just prior to exchange they were fantastic at being motivated to get our flat on the market again immediately and we found a new buyer within 3 days. I have no doubt that we could have lost our purchase property had Nicholas James not gone to the effort of effectively doing our sellers agents job for them in getting the chain to commit to staying with us, we then finally moved just 4 weeks later and couldn't be more happy with the service we received. I take every opportunity I get to recommend Nicholas James to whomever I know who is thinking of selling their property and would not hesitate to use them again!

Having bought my flat off plan through James when he was at Sawyer and Co, and knowing the way in which he markets a property, there was only once person I wanted to sell the property nearly four years later. Nicholas James were fantastic from start to finish and made - what was a complicated move at times - pass smoothly, promptly replying to my endless emails, calls and providing general reassurance. They sold my flat within a week, obtained the full asking price, dealt with all paperwork relating to my tenant at the time and ensured all parties were informed regularly throughout.
