Excellent estate agents

We chose to use Cubitt & West Fiveways to sell our flat as we had bought the flat from them five years earlier and had been impressed. We were not disappointed - from the very beginning, our experience was excellent. The photographs and marketing of the flat were very high quality and we had multiple viewings leading to offers on our open day. Unfortunately, due to Covid, our chain fell through more than once for reasons out of our control. Every time, the team at Cubitt and West Fiveways were reassuring and found us new buyers very quickly. Each member of staff was highly professional and friendly - we always felt valued and knew everyone had our best interests in mind, rather than simply looking for a quick sale. The team were very communicative, gave great advice and were easy to get hold of whenever we had a question. During the time that we were selling, we mostly dealt with Ebba Morley, the senior branch manager. Ebba was incredibly efficient, knowledgeable, professional and kind - she went above and beyond to help us secure the right buyer and even advised us with our onward purchase which was through a different estate agent. Due to Covid, the process of selling our flat took longer than originally expected but the quality of service we received never dropped. We would wholeheartedly recommend Cubitt and West Fiveways to anyone selling or buying a property and cannot thank them enough for all their hard work.

Friendly, helpful and supportive

Kerry-Ann at Cubitt & West has patiently guided us through the sale of a property that that we were selling as executors. There were some unexpected complications along the way which Kerry-Ann helped us deal with without fuss. We were very disappointed to lose our first buyer after a long and protracted effort to keep them, but Kerry-Ann managed to keep our spirits up and found a new buyer, at a better price and arranged a very quick turnround from offer to completion which we were delighted with. Kerry-Ann was friendly, helpful and supportive throughout the transaction, always keeping us well informed and checking in on us when things were dragging on. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again.

I dealt with Abbie from the start I was looking for a property to rent and had very specific requirements. Abbie listened and took on board everything I was looking for. I went to view a property with Abbie all in line with covid. Putting forward my offer Abbie and Dan were very professional. Then it was reference stage Abbie took control of everything I have a busy job but Abbie made the process so much easier. Today I picked up the keys from Abbie and again a very smooth process. If someone is looking for a no stress move with the professional support I definitely recommend Abbie and Dan Northend Portsmouth. Big Thankyou to Dan for travelling to meet the guarantors. Crawley Branch - Outstanding service

We had outstanding service from the team at the Crawley Branch. The sales team were very proactive in finding a suitable buyer for our house and reacted very well to the changes brought on by the Covid Pandemic all the while respecting our household and government guidelines. During the sales process there were a couple of challenges, non of which were of Cubbitt & West's doing, and the team responded swiftly and pragmatically with the right solutions. Once our house had been sold we received excellent service from our Sales Progressor Aumit Bagchi who kept us fully updated at each stage while using non jargon related language which was easily understood. Cubbitt & West Crawley were excellent and sold our houses within the expectations they had set at the beginning of our journey. We highly recommend them to anyone looking at selling a house.

Stephen and the Woodingdean Team

Having spoken to several estate agents I decided to use Cubitt & West because I had used them 3 times before but also because I was selling a property this time I didn’t live near to and they offered to have a set of keys so I didn’t have to keep travelling.Stephen and his team at Woodingdean made it as painless as it could be. They kept a set of keys and met not only people looking to buy but also let in tradesmen when needed as the property was empty.It wasn’t a smooth ride with regards to the first buyers pulling out but Stephen had it sold again within 24 hours.I was kept up to date regularly with phone calls and updates on the website (never done that before but having an account online to see updates was helpful).All in all a good positive experience and would recommend to friends.Thanks Stephen and Team.

Caterham branch is fantastic, superb team.

We first Met Matt who came around to do a valuation. He was friendly and really happy to explain everything. We were happy with what he said so went with Cubitt and West.This was when we met the girls who work in the office. They are an absolute dream team. Jayde and Rachel have been working with us and its made it all a total pleasure.Jayde is personable friendly and kind. She always made such an effort with our children and sold our house in weeks thanks to her efforts.She is really good at sorting which buyers will be interested in your property. The people that viewed had seen the videos she had done and were really clued up about the property.When you go to move you hear and meet lots of stereotype estate agents but the girls fromoffice couldn't be further from that.They did a great job and made a stressful process really easy.Thank you so much.

While it took a while to sell our house due to economic climate, the team were always very helpful. Once the house was sold we were kept fully informed of what was happening. Julie was also constantly keeping in touch with our buyer's solicitors who at times were very slow. We do not plan on moving again but would definitely recommend them

My first dealing with C&W Southsea was back in 2019 when I was looking to buy a property in Southsea, Zoey McGovern dealt with my enquiries. She was very helpful and patient with my specific requests. Even though I ended up not buying, I still recall the way Zoey dealt with process, thank you Zoey.Last month I decided to go to the market again and see if I can find the property of my dream, I rang C&W Southsea and was told that Zoe is working in a different branch now and was transferred to Claire Schindelka and Maddison Oksuz, both are no difference from Zoey at all, felt I'm still dealing with the same person, same patience same professionalism and the willing to help from them is so assuring, Claire and Maddison found the right property in few days, viewed it the next day and now in the buying process. I recently had the pleasure of meeting Maddison Oksuz from the Southsea Office as I was planning on trying to sell my property and spoke to a few agents. From the start, Maddison made me feel like I was important to their business and was warm and professional. The background work she did was incredible compared to other agents and she was happy to discuss the best ways of selling and the value of my home. Maddison's confidence and enthusiasm made me so confident in the way in which she would market my home, getting me the best possible price. I believe in her and her office, who also have been so warm and helpful. The fees were just slightly higher but for the work involved and the level of attention, worth every penny. A quick and easy sale was much more important to me than just a couple of pounds. I cannot recommend Maddison Oksuz enough, thank you for everything x

We recently bought a house through Cubitt and West. During the initial few weeks we were provided with a very inconsistent and disorganised service, having been passed around to multiple offices due to closures and multiple contacts. I felt no one had wanted to take responsibility and therefore the communication was poor. However, once we were provided with Shaun as our sales progressor, he did an excellent job. He responded very quickly, resolved any concerns and we felt he was working in partnership with us. We would definitely recommend Shaun!

Estate agents fine, AP lawyers awful

As estate agents the service was fine, David was very pleasant, but in hindsight lacked accuracy about the property and sellers position. Mo the branch manager was always professional and helpful and go to when things got confused. Julie Bramble as a sale progresser was the one person who made the purchase bearable kept us updated on a weekly basis once our purchase started to move. Cubit did recommend a financial advisor Wayne who was brilliant efficient and effective even though we didn't need his help in the end he helped supported and gave us options when our sale went south. We used Cubits lawyers (AP Lawyers) after a little hard sell by David and this turned out to be major mistake. NEVER able to get hold of them on the phone (they are based in Leeds) always went to voicemail, it would seem it was a method of screening if they felt your call was important enough to be considered, calls never returned even on exchange day. In addition lawyer did not seem to have any idea how people bank in modern times, or actually give ay advice more offer you options and ask you which you might prefer. I would not recommend the lawyers to anyone they made the whole house purchase almost unbearable.

Throughout the process from the accepted offer right up until exchange Julie was brilliant. When we struggled to get hold of the conveyancer, due to massive current workload, Julie kept us informed of updates and was highly tenacious in the closing hours of exchange enabling us to get agreements in place at the 11th hour on the Friday afternoon. The role is vital IMHO as it acts as an information conduit when the conveyancer's are busy on other cases, we don't think that the exchange would have happened when it did without this the important intervention of Julie & Mo at C&W

I recommend Cubitt & West Lewes 100%. I first dealt with them in 2019 when Sue showed us around a number of houses and we ended up buying one via them. Based on that experience C&W Lewes were the only Estate Agents I contacted when I was thinking of selling in 2020. As soon as I decided to put my house on the market Sue was on it. Lining up quality viewings straight away and making the process as stress-free as possible for me. Sue is personable, really knowledge, so hard-working and always there to listen and offer her views and advice in a professional and helpful manner.I have dealt with a lot of Estate Agents over the years and C&W and Sue in particular, are top of my list. Things got a little sticky when we got close to exchanging contracts and Chris from the branch was absolutely brilliant. Sue was on holiday and Chris stepped and spent hours speaking to ALL parties get the issues resolved and contracts exchanged in-line with my desired timing.Brilliant team and lovely people too.

Fantastic Service

Claire has been amazing with helping us purchase our first home in Southsea. Buying your first home is a daunting process, but Claire has made everything seem so simple. Her professional friendly manner is so reassuring and is by far one of the most helpful estate agents we have came across over the past few months. Any questions we have had she has responded to so quickly which really helps make the process less stressful. Cubitt and West also introduced us to Wayne who has been so great with helping us arrange our mortgage. No question was a silly question with him and he explained everything so thoroughly that we felt very confident in understanding the mortgage process. We put our house - Mennileaves just before 1st Lockdown. All was at stand still during lockdown and once relaxed, the virtual video was done and had viewing. I needed to sell my parents' house in Redhill to meet care home fees. Michelle visited the property and gave us what we felt was a realistic valuation.We were very impressed with Michelle and the overall service promised by Cubitt and West.Although it was not the cheapest quote we received we felt that it offered the best value for money and this was borne out in practice.Michelle and her team in Redhill were always available to deal with queries and I can't recommend them highly enough, particularly as there were a couple of last minute issues to deal with!!

Amazing Service!

I called the Southsea office for the first time on a rainy miserable Monday feeling stressed that I couldn't find my ideal house, and spoke to Claire. Wow, I can honestly say not only was she a ray of sunshine, she was so efficient and helpful, taking the time to make my feel a truly valued customer. Claire provided the balance of professionalism versus friendliness perfectly, exactly what we all need, even more so in these extremely difficult times. She also put me in touch with a mortgage advisor that was equally efficient and helpful. Due to Claire's first class service, really understanding what I was looking to buy, recommending a house to me, quickly arranging a viewing, answering all my questions, two days later I had an offer accepted on my new house, that ticks all the boxes! I couldn't recommend Claire highly enough!
