I Honestly cannot recommend Charles Church enough. Wow ! This really is house buying as it should be. A no pressure experience & taking the time to listen. Making my decision to Purchasing a plot in Whitworth Dale with the assistance & having the absolute pleasure of meeting James & Josh. James for bringing my dream together & it becoming an absolute pleasure to meet Josh who was becoming the new site sales advisor for the development. I Obviously have to give thanks to the whole team & management for really making my dream a possibility.Honestly though Josh Scott really has been amazing, the time he kindly spent going through the Select Options making a dream become a reality. And the patience without any pressure & above all even stepping out of the sales office & walking up to the plot to make sense of the drawings above & beyond.It was amazing seeing other owners on the development pop in to see James & his attitude to help & make a point of listening to their requirements really did just tick all the boxes while I was deciding on the Select options. It really was refreshing to hear that James even interacts with the site manager regularly.You honestly get the feeling that this really will be a flagship Charles Church Development when it’s fully completed.

TrustpilotWindows falling apart - have had to move my sons room
Forced to write again based on poor customer care. I have lived in my property for 3.5 years and there are still 30 or so defects remaining from 350 odd raised between the 1 week and 1 month defects lists.I have pretty much washed my hands with Persimmon in respect to the remaining snags with the exception of one, this being the shoddy windows with incorrect beads which have been installed across half the house. We had to move our baby from his original nursery to a different room due to the cold bridge and noise leakage from the window brought from beading which doesn’t fit. This is a common problem across half the windows in the house. This along with sanded down window sashes and windows installed out of plumb leads to an unsightly finish throughout, not what you expect for a half a million pound house. There have been 6 separate Contractor visits to the property over the last few years to review the problem, none of which have seen a proposed solution offered. I have even sent 3 quotes to Persimmon from local window fitters and this was ignored. Months pass without an update, Hannah Davies and her Customer Care (South Wales) Team, despite offers to visit the property so they can better understand the issue do not accept and continue to fall short in their after sales customer care.

Brianna, the sales rep, kept us up to date with the progress of our new build and was super accommodating for whenever we wanted to have a look around, she was attentive and nothing was too much hassle. Once we were in our new home, Joe, the site manager, made sure we were happy by visiting us on occasions and nothing was too much trouble if we had any questions.We would happily recommend Charles church and would be happy to purchase with them again. Lewis has great attention to detail and has high levels of customer service. Next door neighbours garden flooded and other neighbours also,our grass wrecked from neighbours side,neighbours had lawn dug up and drainage installed. I've been told to sort my side myself,another total letdown from Charles Church causing more undue stress and anxiety from purchasing one of there premium properties. I wish I had never moved in,its been an endless circus correcting problems with inferior workworkmanship.If anyone out there is thinking of purchasing one of these homes I would think again. I've been awarded the grand sum of £300 for 3 months inconvenience after they flooded my house with a faulty Stop Cock,I could go on and on but it makes me feel sick,shame on you.

Moving recently their Broadway Rainham property. At the beginning there are problems one after another. There are water leaking from the shower, tiles broken. Lot's of issues. Several people come and see but nothing resolved. At the end we have a guy called Simon who do the work. He seems very pleasant and nice guy. He is trying to resolving the issue. Hopefully he will do that. But I suggest persimmon should be better communication between their customers and customer service agent. Sometimes I feel ignored.

We moved into our new Charles Church home at Mascalls Grange in Tunbridge Wells, Paddock Wood and the whole experience has been amazing. Darren via WhatsApp and the sales ladies have done an amazing job at addressing any questions or concerns we had through the process and any issues we've raised have been heard and addressed. When we moved, Rob has also action any issues we raised immediately. From the house reservation all the way to completion they’ve been amazing. They are available for any question and contactable whenever needed, not to mention the fact of their builds are good quality. Both us and the children's like the house.Thank you again! lease please do not buy of these people we’ve been in our house 2 years and had problem after problem. They will lie to you to get a sale. Most recent on going issue we have a bedroom that is so cold in the winter you cannot sleep in it. Yet they refuse to fit insulation boards and the insurance certificate is useless as they just agree with developers and agree the house is built to specification. Specification doesn’t mean it’s right. They also lied and said we will get an electric car charger but all we have is a normal house hold 3 pin socket. If it’s to spec they have lied at the point of sale. Took me over a year to get my flooring corrected . This is only the half of it

It started off so well, now it’s a joke:Trespass and safety issues across my private property from day one, no one really cares and they even went around to my neighbours stirring it up which has made things worse - the customer services man is exhausting - it’s a tit for tat whatsapp extravaganza! He even suggested I should suck it up as Persimmon will make redundancies. Guess he’s first on the list!Unbelievably…..he then asked me to lie about completion of snagging - to make sure he hit his bonus targets. Don’t worry he said - you’ve got a two year warranty. I may have, but these items are SNAGGING 😂 When I challenged this he tried to make me feel bad about it. Again - a tiresome whatsapp tit for tat conversation whilst I’m trying to work and pay for this house. Exhausting.And two months in - still no rear garden turf as promised on day one. Have been living in a mud bath out there - but don’t worry the empty property next door had their turf laid so it can be enjoyed by no one 🤪So many minor issues that there isn’t enough characters on here to tell you. Water pressure so low, hot water for about 15 mins at a time - so luxury long showers in the bathroom here are not possible 😂 I could go on …Buyer - Beware!
