Honestly, Can't recommend AK enough, I doubt I'll say anything different from the other reviews because they're all true, he has went above and beyond for us, unbelievably patient with all our silly question's, gave us advice throughout the whole process and even helped us to keep our optimism when things were looking down, I would be more than happy to recommend AK friends and family who are moving home. In fact I would recommend him to anyone looking to move, seriously if you are reading these reviews and still undecided, you're missing out, give him a phone, you won't regret it. If i could i would leave zero star.They misled me, at the first meeting and valuation, promised things but didn't deliver, they encouraged me to accept the first offer as buyers were cash buyers, this turned out it was not the case.The deal fell through when allegedly my buyers buyers pulled out, two weeks before the moving date. Most untrustworthy agents I've ever dealt with, I'm disabled,with several chronic illnesses, the whole experience made me very ill, from August 2022 to date 8th Jan 2923 I'm still in my home surrounded by boxes packed up to move.ZERO STARS FROM ME

First time buyer so definitely lacking in experience when shown around the property I was interested in August. When I went to view the property I got a very lack luster response from the employee showing me around. I went ahead and made an offer at asking price on the property I was informed another party was interested and it went to best and final. My offer on a property was accepted. On rightmove it never said sold stc and as I started the process of giving my information etc and paying for searches. I learned about two weeks later that even after my offer had been accepted the previous person that had placed an offer also had placed a higher offer but that the owners were sticking with me. I started getting worried and was trying to move the process ahead to buy the property best I could. A month of so into the process Allen and Harris contacted me again to say that the owner was no longer going with my offer and yet again the other bidder had increased there offer. They asked if I was willing to go higher and I stated I was at the top of my budget as is. They than went ahead with this other party. This week in November I received a call to say the property was back up for sale. I quickly said I was not interested and buying a different property. I thought from start to finish with them they where very unprofessional and the specific employee I dealt with was not particularly interested in dealing with me and wanted a better price on the property probably for her own benefit.

Absolutely abysmal service

Absolutely abysmal service. Have been trying to get my tenancy deposit returned since early October. Been sent round the houses, calling offices in Newport and Newcastle with no joy. No answer from the Lettings dept so have to call Sales. Both advisor and office manager not prepared to listen to my concerns, instead resort to talking over me and then have the audacity to call me abusive. Requested complaints info, have called but no answer. This is MY money they are holding on to. I can't get it back

I can't recommend AK highly enough as a mortgage advisor - he's THEE man! I was lucky enough to land such an incredible advisor for my first ever property purchase. He was, and still is, always on hand, incredibly helpful, constantly optimistic to keep your hopes high! He's an utterly genuine guy and I'd recommend him to anyone. Where do I start

Where do I start? What an unprofessional shower the westbury office are! It started with them booking the wrong photographer for listing the property (wrong camera so we had to go through 2 photography sessions). Branch and assistant managers turning up late for viewings. Turned branch manager away as he turned up half way through me showing a purchaser the house, so I thought no point in him being there half way through. Potential buyers not vetted properly or checks in place to make sure they already had a mortgage in principle from a lender. I’m sure they just let anyone with a pulse view the property. Last insult was 2 offers received and not one was negotiated to nearer the property asking price. Why appoint a “negotiator” if they can’t negotiate. Total waste of time appointing this company in my view!

sold my house through allen and harris. intial estimate was higher than anyone else's, it should have rung alarm bells. I went with them but after two months no offers so had to drastically reduce the price. Once the sale was agreed they only seemed interested in the buyer. Had a weeks notice to move out as they were bending over backwards for the buyer. All in all a very miserable experience that left me feelinh ripped off and used

Booked a viewing for a property we were interested in buying which was promptly canceled without a call to explain why, but my wife and I have had multiple calls every day for two weeks pestering us to sell with them. Bordering on harassment if I'm honest. I've asked them to remove our contact details from their database, but the calls continue. Contact Rettie instead, they're good people. These guys appear to be so desperate for business, quite the red flag

7 months. 7 months we have been in a chain with a property being marketed by Allen and Harris. Twice they have failed to complete due diligence on buyers. Twice their in-house mortgage broker has lied about mortgage offers for buyers when underwriters have turned them down. I wish I had known that their business practices were so appalling I would have rejected an offer on the basis that they were representatives of someone in the chain.

Desperately trying to rent a property

Desperately trying to rent a property, took our holding fee (1 weeks rent) then demanded paperwork unspecified at the initial viewing a week earlier , on trying to collect this for them was waiting for a letter to arrive from HMRC , informed them of this and then had them turn around and decline our rental of the property despite us paying a weeks rent in advance which should have covered the period where we were gathering the correct paperwork. Was told “the landlord cannot wait even a day otherwise he won’t be able to pay his mortgages” and that our deposit was non refundable. So they took our money, and left us out in the cold. At every turn in the week leading up to renting the property there was more issues including online paperwork/referencing accounts not working, they lied and said they were trying to ring my fellow housemate (no missed calls recorded) and that due to this incompleted paperwork that we were the ones at fault despite not mentioning any of this at the viewing. We weren’t the first and we won’t be the last. The rental situation is disgusting in this country, your paying for someone to put a custom number plate on their Range Rover while you slave away at an hourly rate job to live in damp and broken accommodation, they take multiple mortgages out and then depend on the yield from others to pay them whilst they do nothing more than the absolute bare minimum to “maintain” properties. Since the agency fees are now gone I can only assume taking a percentage of our first weeks rent holding fee is how the agents get their commission. Add to that the highest rents have ever been since 2008, and an over-saturation of student housing in major cities the situation for young working professionals is unbearable. To then be told nearly thee hundred pounds of your hard earned money is gone in a flash with smoke and mirrors is simply shattering, unfortunately I’m not alone in this.

I would honestly give 0 stars if it was an option. Incredibly unprofessional estate agents. Avoid at all costs, very rude staff, terrible lack of communication, sketchy, and greedy! They Pressure you into using their services, and if you don’t they will deliberately mess you and tell you your offer is not good enough…even tho it is, it was very frustrating to deal with these people. They are messing with peoples lives here, I feel like they’re all scammers and doing something incredibly illegalSarah was completely rude and messed us around. She is completely unprofessional. This estate agents should be shut down. Please avoid at all costs, they only care about commission, they do not have anyone else’s best interests.

AK was great. I had dealt with mortgage advisors at other firms and the difference between them and AK was huge. AK would answer any question I had so much faster than anyone else, most of the time if I sent an email he would simply phone me so we could talk. If I missed his calls he would message on whatsapp until we could speak. I really appreciated this. At one point, I emailed him and got an auto-reply saying he was on annual leave. He still phoned me that day.
