This was my first time living independently and renting-and they helped me through it all-and were super polite/courteous and efficient through everything. Viewed a house they were selling and put in an offer. During a conversation it was inferred that the seller would only accept our offer if we sold our house through them. I asked if that's what they meant in case I mis-heard and they repeated it. I questioned if this would not present a conflict of interest and was told no. Checked with another estate agent and they agreed with me (we weren't selling through them so it wasn't just to get our business). Wouldn't touch Slater Hogg with barge pole!

Inconsiderate or sheer incompetence. I have sent several contact forms requesting the home report for a property I'm interested in purchasing, that was all. The first time, they called and left a message asking me to call them back. No explanation as to why they were calling and not sending me the home report. I then sent a second one explicitly stating that I did not want a call. This was ignored and they called anyway. Still giving no information as to why they were calling or why they wanted me to call back. All I wanted was the home report. This makes me feel like they are hiding something or are looking to pressure me into something since this is far easier by phone than by email. I would recommend to avoid them and their parent Countrywide as well.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! They do not care about the client but only about their fees. Free home report was advertised for years successfully misleading customers. In addition their T&C's are misleading and contain contrary information which basically means that regardless of pulling out during the cooling off period - YOU WILL BE CHARGED. Clearly a matter for FCA the regulator to look into those non compliant practises. Other predominantly bad reviews speak for this horrible misleading service.

Slater Hogg proved to be unequipped to sell houses and showed their lack of experience and professionalism from the very start when their proposed 'photographs' turned out to look like random holiday snaps with absolutely no eye for attracting buyers. Their property 'narrative' was also apparently written by a semi-literate intern. Subsequent experience going forward with the 'offers' scenario actually got worse when they seemed to want to pressurise the seller to accept a below-market value offer. Since moving to the much more professional and capable Corum agents, the property sold within weeks for £45k more than the offer Slater Hogg tried to strong-arm the seller into accepting. This was a 20% increase. Avoid Slater Hogg. Rude, unprofessional and incapable as are their owning company Countrywide.

Cancelled twice and third time lucky they came out to do the free valuation. Just had a valuation done and will not be using. Felt that he looked down nose at everything in property, which is actually done to a high standard, it just needs a few finishing touches before going on market. These finishing touches needed were the only things that received any comment at all. Very negative. Made to feel embarrassed. No information given on how to move forward, e.g. how much they charge etc. Clearly the property isnt high enough value for them.

This service is nothing short of a disgrace, I got offered a property, was advised they would call me to pay my holding fee. Once I called them back to pay it, they had offered it to someone else. Did t even call to let me know. I was waiting on them calling me back. They then refused to take complaints on this matter. The people that's work there should be ashamed of themselves. I'm out the pocket due to joking a van for moving in. Absolutely shocking shocking shocking service. This company should not exist. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
