Out of all the agencies I contacted Alexander & Co held on with their contact and guided me all the way through in finding the ideal property for rent. I never had to look back to another agency. Very professional & Friendly staff at the agency office. Listens to all the requirements & let us know neatly the step by step process & sticks to the deadlines agreed mutually. Thanks a lot to Janice for being very patient & providing all required information on-time & helping out at all required times.Made sure my move in process was smooth.Thank you !! I waited till we completed on the sale of our property to give a proper rating of the whole experience with Alexander & Co Estate Agents in Dunstable. We chose 3 agents for a valuation, Jason the valuer came on time as you’d expect, a good first impression, he came prepared with stats & even a mock up of an advert (one agent didn’t even come on time, he was a straight no from the beginning, as much as he talked he’d already missed his chance) Despite the house being quite a standard nice property, Alexander & Co treated the property as if they were selling Buckingham Palace. Everything they said they did, we definitely chose the right team, well done. On the opening day we had over 30 viewings in 2 hours. The property sold over its original valuation. First class service, very professional, reliable & knowledgable. Thank you Alexander & Co 6 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They wanted me out of the flat I had been renting for over 2 years, they had no legal reason to evict me. Stuart, Jason lake and the rest of the team will refuse you your deposit for the smallest of reasons, to be honest I would use the words shenanigans. Very expensive for references.... none of which was checked. Very poor service Jason lake you are a bully and a coward In responce to you Stuart... you tried to charge me £800 for a carpet that not only was already damaged but in fact turned out to be 12 years old.... Please do not advise what platform we can talk on

I am literally disgusted at the treatment my family have recieved renting a property from your company specifically Aylesbury branch. They basically insulted us by saying we left the property smelling of dog. We have followed the contract and had the place deep cleaned (end of tenancy) dry cleaned the curtains. Repainted a room with silk paint instead of the emulsion that was previously there. We fitted new fire alarms. Fixed the shower door filled several holes in the walls that were there when we moved in (pictures as proof) but the letting manger at Aylesbury said WE left holes in the walls. When we got served our notice to leave out of the blue lettings management was so rude when we told them we had to stay there until they served us a court notice which we were told to do. As if we didn't feel bad enough but unfortunately we can't make two children homeless because we feel bad. If the "smell of dog" was going to cause a problem, why allow a dog in the property? Our dog smelling of dog is not our fault. I find it strange there's such a strong smell of dog even though everyone else can only smell fresh paint. When we asked where's our deposit or have you even heard anything my husband was met with no answers. Alexander and co are very blase with such large amounts of money needed for two children because we're now out of pocket.

Avoid this company. For example, in the employee Connor, he took a deposit under the pretext of renting me an apartment, then he says he missed the checks and steals my deposit. He does not want to return the deposit. It is a dishonest company. He steals the money from the tenants and requests it as a deposit, without returning the deposited amount to the tenant

I enlisted the services of Alexander and Co after being let down by a previous estate agents. Alexander's were extremely helpful throughout the whole process and Julia Wheatley, from the Sales team, kept me abreast of all viewing and potential buyers. Once the property was sold, Gary Brooks from Sales progression, continued to ensure I was made aware of all updates and kept in regular contact with me by both phone and email. He ensured the potential buyers carried out all the necessary documentation in a timely manner. All in all a thoroughly professional experience throughout. Disgraceful company. Rented a property from them for 4.5 years. They told me I owed rent which I argued but paid anyway (stupid I know) now they’ve decided I overpaid rent but they’re going to deduct some of what they owe me due to a debt on the meter which occurred after I left the property and after I had closed my EDF account. Even with proof they are still trying to hold on to money which is rightfully and legally mine. Not only that my children and I were made to live in an incredibly damp flat which I complained about for 4 years, my stuff turned mouldy, even the bathroom lino ....they eventually listened and sent someone to check. A bad leak was subsequently found under the bath which had caused all the damage. Even now they are trying to withhold £290 of my deposit for “damp damage” which they ignored for years. It’s currently in dispute with the deposit company. NEVER EVER RENT FROM THEM

I found Alexander & co to be very unprofessional, the lettings manager Richard didn't really know what he was doing. They handed me a section 21 notice as my landlady had passed away using the original tenancy agreement details which had my ex named on there, so was null and void anyway, the new documents had only been signed a couple of months prior with just my name on it. They charged an exit fee of 130 pounds even though I was served a section 21 notice. I didn't choose to leave. I questioned Richard about this but he said it was standard procedure. ( which you can't do from June this year anyway) Diabolical service, and the efficiency of a rodent. I would not recommend them to anybody. Unhelpful and unprofessional on every level.

What a fin terrible experience with both the landlord and the agency. Charged £x at the end of the tenancy for damages caused by us, which is not even true. I spent £x from my pocket that was never been reimbursed to me and likely saved the house for further damage, but that is where I made the mistake. Wish I would just report the issue and leave it till the engineer would arrive, wich would likely be at least a week. Could cause the landlord thousands of pounds worth damages. Karma will find you all........

Rented a property through this company for just over 4 years. They would expect me to be home to let people in to carry out maintenance and if I could not be at home they would give random people a key to let themselves in unescorted. It was not always communicated when someone was coming and on several occasions I had to change my plans last minute. Check in was carried out by the letting agent but checkout was carried out by a much more thorough 3rd party which was extremely detailed and resulted in some of my deposit not being returned, and this after 4 years of excellent 6 monthly inspections stating we were model tenants and the house was immaculate. Finally, if you do rent from Hartwells AKA Alexander & Co ensure that all communication is via email, especially when you want to give notice to end your tenancy. We gave notice by telephone on the correct day however the property management team had gone home and I was informed to call back. Two days later we were told that because we did not submit our notice in writing we have to extend by a further month. Suffice to say that I am overwhelmingly disappointed in the lettings and property management teams and would never recommend anyone use their services!
