My partner and I have had such a lovely experience renting through Alexander and Co. They answered all of our questions. Always picked up the phone. Other companies would leave us standing waiting infront of a rental and not even show up or answer our calls. Connor was the best agent that we have worked with. I want to mention Julia for being so helpful, polite and her customer service was exemplary. Every time I spoke on the phone with her I felt heard and knew she'll do her best to help me out. Last but not least, Gary who realy made this happen by chasing up with the solicitors, actively listening to all parties and using his best judgement to overcome obstacles. Richard Evans on behalf of Alexander’s went the extra mile for us when our tenants left the house without paying rent and in a bad state. On behalf of Alexander’s he managed the transition to new tenants ensuring all work required was performed to a high standard, he then followed up with the relevant authorities to pursue the previous tenants and gained all outstanding payments on our behalf. I cannot recommend Alexander and Co enough to anyone looking to sell a property. We purchased our property through Alexander's 6 years ago and after that experience there was only one agent who we wanted to sell it for us. We needed to secure a sale within 2 weeks due to us purchasing a new build property. We were worried initially but when Julia came round for the valuation and she put our mind at rest right away. Julia gave us a fair and suitable valuation because of our required time frame and assured us that our property wouldn't last long on the market. We had 10-15 viewings in a short space of time, all of which were booked in with plenty of notice and fit in with us. We accepted an offer for more than our asking price within 5 days of going on the market. We then largely dealt with Gary who was a fantastic conduit between ourselves and our buyers, also chasing up solicitors on both sides and even the developers that we were purchasing from. Selling our first property was daunting for us but Alexander's we're great with us and dealt with every issue we had efficiently and effectively. As previously mentioned the valuation was fair, we could have put the property up for slightly more but Julia advised that our time constraints might not allow for that, she was proven correct and the interest in our property surprised us. I can not recommend Alexander & Co highly enough, we used them for our recent property sale and right from the start the service we received was excellent. Julia needs a very special mention as she is amazing at what she does, she communicated with us all through the process was so warm and friendly and was the reason we picked Alexander & Co and we did not regret it. I've had to give 1 star as i'm unable to leave 0. Possibly the worst company we've dealt with. Absolute 0 care given about tenants. Don't reply to calls or emails, shocking customer service, avoid at all costs. You have been warned!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. We sold our house through Alexander as a house we wanted was for sale with them so felt it was easier. Everything was fine at the beginning but once it was on the market and we had like 3 viewings, there was no interest in selling it. One person viewed ours and wanted it but had to sell their house still but to Alexander that meant 'someone wants it, let's not bother anymore'. During the pandemic, our house sale fell through yet we didn't find out through our own agents who were Alexander. We had a weekly courtesy call from the estate agents we were buying through but not a peep from Alexander, the estate agents we are paying. When we resold, we complained so suddenly they took an interest for about 5 minutes. When we exchanged contracts and were agreeing move dates, I was doing all the leg work and heard absolutely nothing from Alexander. Since talking with others, I have not heard anyone with one good thing to say about this company. I can't believe I had to pay them nearly £4000 yet the other estate agents helped me and kept in contact with me far more. This is only a snippet of the issues we had so you can only imagine how stressful our move was. Very pleasant experience renting out my property. Lesley was so helpful and took care of the property and the tenants very well. I barely worried about my property and the tenants as I knew it was always handled by them. I was a first time landlady and was anxious but A&Co took care of everything.
