All properties on our website are uploaded and managed by the Estate Agent themselves, it's not something we do for them at all. Each agent will have their own company policies and processes which isn't something we have control over at Rightmove as we are not a Governing Body.When an offer is accepted on a property, some agents will update the listing to Sold STC/Under Offer/Let Agreed straight away, others will make the amendment when contracts are exchanged, and some don't update the advert at all.We encourage all agents to change the status of their properties so that it's clear to home hunters an offer has been accepted, however, there are no regulations in place that enforce agents to do this. It's only at the time a property completes in a sale or when tenants move in that it must be removed from marketing. It's ultimately the agents decision as to whether they make this change.If you know a sale has completed on a property or that it's tenanted and is still being advertised on Rightmove, you can send a link to the property along with your concerns to our specialist Data Quality Team to investigate.
