**Terrible Experience with White and Sons Estate Agents, Horley**I’m extremely disappointed with the service provided by White and Sons Estate Agents in Horley. My wife and I both took time off work to attend viewings for several properties that we had booked with them, only to receive a phone call shortly before our appointments informing us that they had accepted offers on two of the properties. This was frustrating enough, but then they refused to show us the third property unless we were in a "proceedable position."The agent on the phone was incredibly rude and condescending, asking repeatedly if we had "cash in the bank." I explained that we have a mortgage in principle and do not need to sell our current home to proceed with a purchase, but she persisted, dismissively questioning if we actually had the cash available. It was insulting and made us feel as though we were being judged as unworthy of their time.The whole experience was a complete waste of our time, and the lack of professionalism and courtesy was shocking. I would strongly advise others to avoid dealing with this agency, as they clearly have no respect for potential buyers.
We understand that it must be frustrating that two of our sellers have accepted offers on their properties this week, ahead of your requested viewings toward the weekend. We have a duty to our clients to confirm the position of all potential buyers who wish to view their homes and with regret, on this occasion, each seller has provided us with instructions that we are obliged to follow. We are sorry that they did not align with your own expectations. We wish you all the very best of luck with your search.

We have used White and Sons as letting agents for more than 10 years. Their standards are consistently reliable and there is a depth of knowledge about landlord regulations which is very helpful to small-scale amateurs like us. Tenants have always been happy with the responsiveness of the maintenance team, who have a good range of local contractors. Hate to think how difficult it would have been to manage a rental property ourselves without them.

I had a very disappointing experience with White & Sons regarding the handling of my tenancy deposit.
We are obviously disappointed to read your review. This is an extremely unusual situation. In the unlikely event that a tenancy deposit has been referred to the TDS we have historically had all claims upheld. We need to investigate this situation further internally. I would like to reassure you that this process is a well-trodden path and we endeavour to remain as objective as possible with very transparent procedures. We can only apologise for the confusion this situation has caused, we will be taking this up with the TDS.
