Jackson Stop has been absolutely brilliant

Jackson Stop has been absolutely fantastic with our move especially as this move was particularly difficult. The patience and professional attitude was very much appreciated. Anthony was always calm when things seemed to be chaotic, and Tracey would continually smile and accompany potential buyers with enthusiasm and understanding.They always showed possible buyers around the property and would return feed back from those viewings. Should l ever move again Jackson Stops would be the first estate agent l would contact for the move. Brilliant service from Jackson Stops

I can recommend Jackson Stops knowing the service i have received over decades has been brilliant. The relationship with Anthony Jevons at the Jackson Stops Hale office is built on 30 years of buying and selling property through Anthony and his Jackson Stops colleagues at the Hale and Chester office. The professionalism shown by Jackson Stops has been brilliant on each property sale and purchase, and i wouldn't consider using another estate agent for a UK property. One of the properties that they sold for me near Chester via Stephen Cheshire in Jackson Stops Chester office was sold for £170,000 over the asking price, and the property they sold for my mother in February 2025 in Bowdon sold in just one day after signing up Jackson Stops to sell the property, and there were an additional 4 people due to view it the following day!!!

In what was initially heralded as a 'tricky' market, your Bridport / Dorchester team secured the early sale of my 17th Century thatched cottage, achieved far in advance of my expectations. My particular thanks goes to Philip German-Ribon who resisted my early suggestion of a higher marketing value, by persuading me of the importance of setting the initial asking price appropriately to respond to prevailing market conditions. To receive and hold sale at the asking price was more than I could have reasonably expected. We bought our house through JS Bury St Edmunds office in October 23 and were guided through the process expertly by the team. We encountered a few not-so-straightforward issues as we moved through the purchase and received knowledgable and supportive guidance (thanks to Rosanna Diaper particularly) which enabled us to communicate well with our seller/solicitors and complete on our new home in time for Christmas. The service from the Bury St Edmunds office is absolutely outstanding. We used them to sell our townhouse in Bury 9 years ago and now I have sold my country home with them. All staff are friendly, extremely kind and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, they know what they are doing.Charlie has been totally, wonderfully helpful with support and advice far above and beyond what would be expected. The last effort to get a Completion date that didn’t send me into total panic was magic.Plus, he drove by two properties I was considering, to advise on offers and suitability. A great experience from start to finish!

We purchased a house earlier this year through Jackson-Stops. Rosanna, who, was our first point of contact was exceptional throughout the whole process, from viewing until the day we completed. She was professional, kind and managed to guide us through a tricky few months and reassure both myself and my husband, with the house sale (which took much longer than anticipated). The icing on the cake was a lovely gift bag on the day we moved in, which was completely unexpected but a really nice touch. I would not hesitate to recommend Rosanna and her colleagues from the Bury branch to anyone looking to sell their home or use their services.

Jackson Stops (and it’s predecessor) has been managing our rental property for 40 years. Margaret Heath has been there almost all that time as our property manager. As we live overseas it is essential that we have reliable, efficient and comprehensive oversight of our property. Margaret has provided excellent service. She responds quickly to queries, keeps a close eye on the property and establishes a good rapport with tenants. She is an asset to the company and deserves the highest regard.

Why use anyone else?

We bought our home in Dullingham via Jackson-Stops 5 years ago. They were so professional and a pleasure to work with then, that when we decided to sell it earlier this year we had no hesitation in using them again. From the moment they took our instruction they were first class in keeping us informed, not just from what was going on, but also liaising with our buyers, our solicitors and our purchase in keeping everyone on the same page. Every time we phoned up, no matter who we spoke to, everyone always knew everything about our file. I would, however, like to say a special mention to Samantha, who not only went out of her way to make sure that everything went through as smoothly and stress-free as possible, even on her days off, but the fact that she took time out in looking after us. She was always available if ever we needed help with anything, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Unfortunately though, since we've sold, I do miss our morning update chats on the way to work! Thank you for making it happen.

I could not have managed to purchase my home in Newmarket if it wasn't for Lottie at the Newmarket high street location. She did more than what was asked of her and she was very responsive on her emails. With the help of my cousins and Lottie I purchased the property site unseen. Something I have never done. When I arrived I met up with Lottie in person and met the team at Jackson-Stops and they are a great bunch of people. Sam was lovely and came out to the site to show me around.
