Abusive unfair and unjust

Had homophobic and transphobic abuse for the 2 years i lived there enough to make me want to unalive myself; yet places for people didnt see it as a hate crime . Blamed me for wster lesking in communal light said my dog had peed enough to fill the light fitting which is ridiculous as she wouod of had to peedfor days on end and be the size of elephant . The workmen even said the water was from the back wall of my bath havi g loose tiles and the water going down behind yet i didnt get it fixed told to be mote careful depite the workmen insisting it needed fixing. Being constantly misgenderedred depite in the beginning them getting it right and trying to correct the transphobic neighbours put soon easily persuaded by the neighbours i was a she and not a he even though i had constantly corrected them and my sister did and my partner at the time and even my now late mother . Took my neighbours complaint anything from death threats to pulling the fire alarms when i wasnt near the box i wouod of had to smash it not pull anything when the neighbour in question is an ex con been in prison for violence. Oh and get this being made to pay rent arrears for two months rent when i was suposed to move in march 2020 when the lockdown was enforced and only managing to get a van in may when no lockdown insisted thst because i moved in may when the lockdown wasnt that i still owed the 2 months rent not mg fault i couldnt get a moving van and housing benefit stopped paying them was told though it was ok as we were in lockdown and been reasured by citezens advice and shelter that i wouldnt have any arrears to pay because all rent was on hold because of the situation and uo to that point i had mh rent paid on time in fact im pretty sure i was ahead. I had to set up a payment plan as i was so anxious buf ceased after being told i shouldnt have to and now after nearky 2 years of me ceasing they decide to hassle me putting me into a false sense of security thinking that they reakise their mistake because mh support worker told them i shouodnt pay it and they were luke thats fine so they lied. So through negligence and mental anguish and the ordeal i could as i have the legal right to do so take them to court for hate crimes and harrasment and i wo t be taken this review down like i did the last one again after they asked me not to leave a negative review. So yet again being bullied just because they dont lime what the truth is

I have been trying to buy a leasehold…

I have been trying to buy a leasehold property for five months and have heard that PFP are a nightmare to deal with regarding the leasehold paperwork etc. I have been deeply depressed with the way things are going. Two days ago I looked on TrustPilot and saw the e.mail PFP give out to try and help their clients. I was amazed to get a very professional and friendly reply today. PFP had already looked into the matter and had been trying to contact me and obtain paperwork via solicitors, with no luck. It's a shocking situation, and it sounds like nothing is PFP's fault. I look forward to getting things moving. This relates to PFP Property Sales.

Terrible at getting jobs done

They have too much housing stock to keep up with repairs , anything that needs doing takes forever , I have been waiting 2 years for my kitchen and they just keep bodging everything , I’ve had over 30 workmen come and look at the kitchen in 2 years and it’s still not done , they come and look and then leave

I wrote a review in June 2023 regarding…

I wrote a review in June 2023 regarding anti social behaviour, noise and flooding from an upstairs neighbour. Places for people advised me to keep diaries of these events which I duly did along with a signed petition from 13 other residents which was sent to Places for people. During the intervening time period the anti social behaviour continued unabated with the police being called several times, culminating on the 15/09/2023 with the police armed response unit visiting the property and removing two suspects including the tenant. On the 18/09/2023 I received a letter from Places for People stating the complaint of anti social behaviour was case closed, they do not respond to my communications and ignore all text's etc. I have now approached the council and my local MP who responded very quickly and is now investigating my case. Places for People have acted with extreme incompetence and ineptitude as this tenant was a known problem long before I moved into the property

Tenent over 30years

As a long term tenant over 30years, things have changed so much. I find repairs are not done as quickly as they should and that certain items you have to repair yourself. I have had dampness in a wall now for over a year, waiting again for a surveyor to come out, winter is coming. I do love my little house.

Dan the amazing repair man

Had Dan come and replace and repair our fence, absolutely stellar bloke, very polite, friendly, and even offered to put a bolt in our 'makeshift' fence so it would las a little longer. I am purely leaving the rating for him, as the company itself took 7 months to repair it, however the repair was nearly perfect, just waiting on the fence to be finalised.

Awful company

Awful company, workmen come to do repairs on electrics and they try to blame us for them. They realise it isn’t us and then can’t find the junction box!! They have tore up my carpets and punched holes in my walls and been over a month and still not repaired. I raised complaint on 4th march and they have only just escalated to their first stage!! Over a month later

Just a heads up please make sure you…

Just a heads up please make sure you have home insurance. My mums home was ruined by a flood from the loft. And Places for Peoples insurance company basically said it was my 90 year old mother's fault, for not turning off her mains water tap before leaving for a couple of weeks and that she didn't notice any water dripping. I visited ever week while my mum was in a respite to see if she would stay due to he dementia and no water dripping down. Then in a matter of a week the whole 4 ceilings collapsed and flood water came running out of the main door when I opened it. PFP didn't even give a small amount of compensation to my mum for what furniture etc that was in the bungalow which was left because we couldn't move it all in the first week after giving them notification of mums move into a Care home. And unfortunately mum had cancelled her home insurance I think due to her dementia and not understanding what it was for. So please all of PFP residents get and keep your home insurance going just incase anything like this happens to you. My poor mum lost any help from them. Thank goodness she is now in a place that cares, PFP don't care.

Disgraceful after going to a solicitor…

Disgraceful after going to a solicitor involved and receiving compensation and places for people agreeing to carry out works within 120 days. They still fail to keep to there agreement 120 days well and truly gone , no attempt to resolve repairs, been calling every day for over a month and still got no where, no one knows what they are doing, there complaints service means nothing as they don't follow up, the new contractors ARGENT are no better either full of promises they don't mean, absolutely ridiculous how they allow people to live in such bad properties and expect rent for the property when it's uninhabitable. Rubbish housing PLACES FOR PEOPLE WILL NEVER CHANGE, AND THWY WILL NEVER GET QUALIFIED DECEMT CONTRACTORS, THEY JUST GO FOR THE CHEAPEST SO THEY CAN POCKET LOADS OF MONEY. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE MANAGER/OWNER OF PLACES FOR PEOPLE TO LIVE IN THE CONDITIONS I HAVE LIVED FOR 5 YEARS, COMPLETE JOKE!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mismanage Estate, overpriced repairs

How have these bandits got a star of 2.2, it has to be a zero from everyone? Mismanaged our estate for 20 years, All their jobs cost 3-4 times local tradesman, then when we are on the verge of taking them to the ombudsman, they pass us off to a subsidiary RMG, who want to charge us £13,000 to QUOTE for repairs. Awful, just awful. If you are a customer find a way not to be.

Places for People are really bad

Places for People are really bad, my aunt and uncle moved into 1 of their properties in December (mutual exchange) they left them without gas for 4 days, since then the issues have been so bad, rising black damp allover the bedroom & bathroom, damp smell in the kitchen, leaking roof, the list is endless, trying to get someone to take responsibility is impossible, the inspector came out, told them to paint over it and try and exchange, not really the answer is it, I have been in touch with my local MP, and before places for people reply to this with email customer services, guess what, I've done that 7 times and the only time we get a reply is when the local MP is CC'd in but they still don't do a great deal, they sent a surveyor out over a month ago and still no response or communication from them! They really are the worse housing association I have ever come across, I'm trying to work out if they don't have the money to fix the issues or if they are running themselves to the ground to be bought out by another company? My next move is to try citizens advice or get a solicitor as I don't think they should be taking full rent for nothing more than a squat! I would like to say my local MP has come back to say the website Shelter might help and there is a lot of useful advice on there so if anyone is having issues I would visit this site!

Has to be the worst housing association…

Has to be the worst housing association ever, I have had a leak in my property and I have been trying to get it sorted for over 3 years. 4 different plumbers couldn't even find the leak, had to pay for a plumber to come and find the leak, he found it within 2 minutes of being in my flat, I have damp and mould all through my flat because of the leak and it absolutely stinks in there. All my floors have collapsed because they are rotten from the leak. Got a solicitor involved and they gave places for people 120 days to complete all works, and guess what it wasn't done, so now I have to get solicitor back involved for it to go to court. Absolutely terrible to leave it for this long all your staff are incompetent and don't know what there doing. My next step is to also stop paying my rent as I should not have to live like this,

Slum Landlord since becoming Places for People!

I have lived in a Places for People property now for nearly 22 years, since 2001(originally North British Housing). In the last 10yrs it has gone massively downhill, staff reductions to caretakers and cleaners has resulted in the communal areas not being cleaned as regularly becoming filthy and maintenance jobs not being done for many months. They stopped vetting tenants and now allow anyone to rent here usually people who cannot get anywhere else to live because they turned that place into a complete dump or caused antisocial issues. If you raise a complaint it's given a response and then ignored as they don't want to evict people because it's too much hassle as long as their housing benefit is being paid. We have a communal garden that was a beautiful place, but they won't spend money to maintain it and it's become infested with rats due to some tenants "Smack heads" throwing half eaten food from windows and feeding them. Add to this people urinating in the lifts and throwing rubbish out of the windows, generally making the place horrible for everyone. They won't evict these problem tenants due to them apparently having "mental health issues" but proceed to allow them to damage everyone else's mental health living in high density residential buildings. They really have let themselves go since the company became Places for People, they should be called Places for Money! they have zero interest in their places being a nice place to live and only concerned with income.

After so many complaints and diary sheets filled out .pfp allow crackheads to live under there property .as long as they're getting money screw the people who have mental health issues and young kids .They allow them to make the tenant not feel safe in there own home because of neighbours But as long as you lot are rolling in the money don't give a crap about the people who also pay you money for rent .who want to live a normal life Instead of having litter on there garden from the trouble causers and more .need to definitely sort out your company and its getting worse

Terrible company! Stay away

My neighbours fence has been broken for almost two years now (they live in the places for people house) both me and my neighbour have continuously rang being told we have been put on a waiting list for the last almost two years. We have rang this week too and have both been told that their policy has changed when my neighbour was not given this information at all. And they’ve told her she will have to do it herself when she is also a single mother. This company is absolute shambles, leading its customers on and that they’ll fix this gate when it had been almost two years and they keep on saying the same thing over and over again for them to say to me and my neighbour that they can do nothing. I would say please stay away from this company they are not good whatsoever and will not help people who are struggling especially after covid. Please stay away!!!They then reply with their stupid response. As if doing that will do anything. It’s just an automated response. But like I said stay away stupid and pathetic company. That dont take into account people’s circumstances.

MONSTERS! PROTECT YOUR FAMILY!

I have reported a black mould Problem in December 2022. It is now July 2023 and they still have't fixed it. A 9 MONTH OLD child lives in that room. They sent someone to check if the ceiling was made of asbestos. After a few days, they denied they'd sent someone although it is on CCTV (Voice and Video)Furthermore, They increased the bills out of thin air by up to 40%. I hate these people and what they are doing to my family. Be very careful when dealing with them. They will walk on dead bodies to take your money.

PFP are scum of the earth active criminals

First they moved in drug addicts to make me move. Then they moved two sets of tenants. Another drug addict and her dealer. And a couple in the flat directly above mine. She screams abuse through the floorboards. She shouldn’t even be there permanently. It’s a single occupancy studio flat. The rental act states it’s single occupancy unless they’re blood relatives. And what they get up to I hope not lol. Yet she’s been there every day for a year and a half with PFP knowledge. She’s in constant communication with staff from places for people getting instructions on how to harass me and she’s not even a tenant Just constant criminal behaviour. I’ve had to once again contact the police about this crime. That particular flat was supposed to be let under the sensitive letting but the reality is very different. That’s what places for people do. Use tenants to try and bully other tenants. Break laws that they are supposed to comply with, with no compunction. I’m not about to leave so they might as well give up lol. Places For People truly are absolutely scum of the earth.Typical PFP response. Full of s**t. Scum of the earth.
