GoogleI have used Horton Knights for what must be 8 years . I have bought and sold alot and I would never use anyone else . Roger is my go to man but he represents HK and the way he works is seen throughout the team . When I sold my last home I had no hesitation but to call Roger , they know the market , they tell you the truth and they always communicate . Today I sold my home up North and moved south which means it the last time I'll probably deal with the team , I actually felt like I was speaking to friends for the last time , I couldn't recommend this company enough . Firstly we chose them to sell our house because Darren came to value the property and he totally engaged with us, asked us relevant questions about the property. Then Francis came and took amazing photos, he really took care to show all the elements we had lovingly created over the 15 years we had been at the property, his attention to detail was brilliant. Chloe and Ethan were always professional and quick to respond to our calls. Roger always exceeded our expectaions, he always friendly and empathised with us when an unexpected issue came up as part of the selling process. We would definitely recommend Horton Knights. GoogleUnfortunately, I cannot recommend this agency based on our recent experience. We submitted an offer on a property over a week ago and were quickly drawn into a bidding war. Throughout this time, we responded promptly and professionally, providing all requested documentation, including our passports, proof of address, and mortgage in principle. We were informed that the vendor would make a decision the following day. However, as the days passed with no update, we tried to remain patient. I followed up a few days later and was told the vendor was still deciding. We continued to wait, expecting at the very least to receive an update today, but once again, we heard nothing. When we contacted the agency this morning, we were told they had no idea of the vendor's decision and that they would call us back within the hour. That call never came. We followed up again ourselves, only to be told the property had been sold, without any notification or courtesy call from the agency. It’s incredibly disappointing to feel strung along for over a week, especially when a simple update would have sufficed. Had we been informed that a higher offer had been accepted and asked if we’d like to keep ours as a backup, we would have gladly agreed. Instead, we were left completely in the dark. Communication and transparency are important qualities in an estate agency, and sadly, this experience fell far short of those expectations. As first time buyers this has left us feeling so disheartened and therefore I would not recommend

GoogleFollowing a ridiculously low valuation of our late parents’ property by another agent, I contacted HK on the recommendation of my sister who had used them several years ago and had been very impressed. Francis carried out the initial valuation and was excellent in explaining his assessment of the property’s value and the potential market. Very easy to talk to and ask for any clarification. Roger then dealt with any offers and negotiations and helped us find a way forward when things went wrong (through no fault of HK, just the way things go!)… Roger was very easy to talk to, he listened to my questions, concerns and suggestions. At a very busy time for their business he was extremely helpful and patient. A mention must be given to Ethan and Chloe in the office. They dealt very well with queries in the interim until I was able to speak with Roger. All in all, a very strong team that is passionate about doing their best to sell your property at the best price possible. I would not hesitate to recommend Horton Knights.PositiveQuality

GoogleI have been a Landord for 20 years or so and have dealt with many different Estate Agents in acquiring and letting my properties. Most have been extremely disappointing. The property I own in Doncaster has been managed by Horton Knights for about 6 years. The service has been exceptional. I do not live locally, so the input provided by Roger (in particular) has been essential in successfully marketing and maintaining the property whilst maximizing the rental income. The majority of other Agents seem to have no idea and make irrational judgments they would not make if it was their own property they were dealing with. That cannot be said for Roger and his team. If you have a property to let in, or near Doncaster, I would highly recommend Horton Knights. Based on my own experiences, you won't be disappointed.

GoogleWe agreed a price to buy a property that they were advertising. We eventually agreed an offer for our property from a couple who were ready to move. However when we called Horton Kniĝhts to inform them we were ready to proceed they informed us that the property had been sold to another buyer and proceedings had started a month earlier. I fully accept them selling the property to someone else but they could have had the decency to tell us. This would have saved heartbreak to ourselves and the couple buying our house.

I’ve have had a detailed look at the file, including all telephone notes added to the system, by the sales staff. You made an offer on the subject property, but at that time you ‘had a house to sell, which wasn’t yet on the market’. So, my seller client advised that once you are in a proceedable position come back to us, and they’ll consider the offer. I know you put your house up for sale, as we saw it advertised with one of the online estate agents. A staff member did have a catch up a few weeks later to see how that sale was going. The notes do say you haven’t sold, but my colleague advised you as soon as you have some interest please get in touch urgently, as we have several other serious contenders. Similarly, we did offer to help sell your property, to see if we could get you moving quicker. Over the following months we drove passed your property, and could see you were still for sale. In the meantime, a previous party had found a buyer, my seller accepted the offer subject to contract, and assuming all parties could obtain a suitable mortgage and proceed in a timely manner. We next heard from you, I think 3 or so months later to say you are now looking to proceed, as you have found a buyer for your property. At which time we informed you that our seller had accepted an alternative offer, albeit it was in the early stages. After speaking with you, we did ring the seller to let them know you were now in a proceedable position. The seller decided to stick with the original party, as things were progressing satisfactorily. As discussed with you at that time, due to the volatile nature of the market, and that the sale was in its’ early stages, we would speak to you again if there were any undue delays.

GooglePoor customer service I just want to make people aware of Horton Knight estate agents in Doncaster. We had an offer accepted on a property they were selling in Doncaster, we had sold our house but it was in a chain. Eventually two weeks ago we accepted an offer from a couple who had no property to sell and were ready to move. I called Horton Knight the next working day to be told that the bungalow we had the offer accepted on was now sold wit solicitors involved . I think it would have been courteous to have informed us of this as we then had to let the couple down who wanted our property. I did email the agent but have not even received an acknowledgment. Not sure what the procedure is but a simple phone call or email would have saved upset . Date 21/07/23

GoogleWe have only good experiences with agents. They are very well organized and professional. They respond quickly to any inquiries. Roger, who works in the office, made sure that the process went smoothly and it certainly cost him a lot of work. Francis helped us find buyers, his experience and patience with clients is immense. We are very grateful. We have already recommended to friends in Doncaster because it is for sure the best estate agency in town.

GoogleFirst of all, big thank you for being part of our first time buying process, however I thought I need to leave an honest review for the team. Unfortunately our experience with Horton Knights wasn't the most pleasant, we found that house match system doesn't work very well, we had very irrelevant mailshots come through to us, whilst looking for a house. Team communication is unfortunately really bad (again from our experience), emails are not answered, call response is pretty much non existent. Making an offer for a house, having to wait longer than a week to get any kind of feedback, just to call in and be told the offer is not accepted, it is not the kind of experience I would wish anyone to go through during such difficult time as house buying. However from positives, they do arrange viewings very quickly.

I will certainly look into the issues of communication and our matching out process which you found to be inadequate however, I can see that you were matched out to 3 bedroom semi-detached properties. In relation to the time scales surrounding the offer you put forward this is really out of our control. The current market conditions are resulting in multiple offers being put forward on individual properties. On the property in question we had eight offers to deal with and we were reliant on communication with the vendor before we are able to advise on any decisions made. GoogleMy Dad recently purchased a property through Horton Knights. We found them accommodating to his needs by arranging an out of hours viewing to suit my Dads work pattern. In touch throughout the process to keep us updated or to see if we had any updates for them. On the day of the completion, they allowed us to wait in their office for the keys to be released and presented my Dad with a new home gift. Overall no issues and would really consider recommending them to friends and family if I hear of anyone wanting to sell a property

House was valued and photos taken on Friday, by Saturday afternoon it was live on the internet, Monday the sign was up in front of the house, Tuesday viewings were booked in and then by Saturday we had accepted an offer. All members of staff we have dealt with have been very friendly. Francis Horton who does the valuation had a great knowledge and ideas but was not pushy and didn’t make us feel uncomfortable at anytime. GoogleJust completed the sale of our property in Scawsby which was our home for 37 years. Obviously we don't move home often so had little idea of what's involved nowadays. We needn't have worried as Francis guided us through the whole process, offering advice and reassurance throughout. When the sale stalled due to the effect of Covid19 lockdown, Francis and the team at Horton Knights managed to nudge it along to completion using their skill, experience and contacts built up over many years in the housing industry. GoogleI have only moved house twice but both times have sold with Horton Knights most recently they sold my house in 3 weeks ! They only sent genuine buyers and negotiated our sale on a Sunday, I would not consider using another agent and would recommend time after time. Nothing is too much trouble,a structural survey was required for our sale and could have turned into a stressful situation but was all dealt with quickly and professionally by Horton Knights which was above and beyond what was expected. They know their customers and price realistically... Photos were great and marketed to a very high standard.

GoogleOur experience with Horton Knights has been beyond expectations. We Havnt completed as yet but are aiming for next week. However, whatever happens we have absolutely no doubt that our hands will be held throughout and we will be taken care of. Chloe had been in touch with me every day throughout the process and kept up well Informed. Even other vendors have commented on her professionalism and help. We are in a long chain and it’s not always been straight forward, but Chloe our sales progressor has been fantastic. Obviously there is the commission as a motivation but I actually feel like there is care and compassion and a genuine feel that they want the best for us and those in our chain. This is priceless and refreshing in what is probably a cold, and at times soulless profession. I really would recommend Horton Knights to anyone looking to need their services and we will be truely greatful for everything done for us so far. Thankyou Chloe and your team. GoogleI first liased with Horton knights nearly 10 years ago when I bought my property and they were extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Recently I have sold that property again using Horton knights and I was very impressed that the person who initially sold me the home instantly remembered it and myself. Having been at both sides of buying and selling with Horton knights everyone involved were very professional and really do make the process as easy as possible and I would not hesitate at all recommending their services.
