If I could give them a minus or zero I would . Totally shocking company to deal with . Once they have your money they don't want to know you . I got an independent inspector to look at my home at Cotchett village in Derby which ive been in for over 2 years now and I he identified around 70 defects , some big some small , the workmanship is non exsistant .Avant have fixed 1 of them , which was moving the shaver socket in the bathroom to its correct position. I had a leak in the bathroom which took them 8 visits to sort out . Their customer service is non existent and I wished I had read some of the reviews before I brought from them . Please don't make the same mistake I have done . I have managed to put off several people including a family member from not buying from Avant homes .Lots of families on my estate have had similar issues and one homeowner has even put a huge banner on their house for everyone too see about how bad Avant homes are which i expect to see in the local paper anytime soon. If you are going to buy from them , please please get a survey done before you get the keys and make sure they carry out the work correctly. I didn't do this and Avant have lied to me , fobbed me off to the point now where I will be taking them to court and will be posting reviews online about this shocking company . I hope this review helps .

First time buyer and Avant have helped every step of the way.No new build is perfect however they way they have tackled any issues or even extras we wanted has been amazing. Our snagger found less than average snags on the size of our house and most were just paint errors. The whole process or buying was stress free as moving can be. Used the mortgage advisor Avant recommended, ended up with a good deal as well as constant updates.The on site builders are always happy to help if something goes wrong, such as a mover making a dent in a wall and being fast in fixing snags.Overall we are super happy. We knew a new build wouldn't be without construction issues, however they've been minor and mostly cosmetic.

Just completed on a house after approx 1.5 years. Avant homes has generally been unresponsive, unhelpful and all round shocking throughout. Staff have come and gone and our area got put under a different division but no one ever told us when it happened (mainly because no one ever really replied anyway). Solicitors provided to us were not the best and at one point accidentally got our mortgage cancelled as they didn't elaborate on an email to the lenders. We got rushed into the house as notice was cut down from 10-14 days to only 4 and on seeing it for the first time the garden wasn't turfed, the floor was covered in debris and some of our PAID extras was missing. Staff was shocked we had never been allowed onto site to see our build but never invited us in the first place. After complaining about all our issues a suggestion of free flooring was put out which we're still waiting for them to make good on (didn't buy flooring through them as sales advised it could be gotten cheaper and was told we could get people in to measure and provide quotes before handover to get flooring asap).A star given as the house is generally very nice, just wish that the new build house I'm currently paying for came in a more livable state as I've still not been able to move in.

Wish we'd paid more attention to the negative reviews, customer service is non-existent, they've been an absolute nightmare to deal with, refuse to take any responsibility for delays and mistakes (of which there have been countless). Have dealt with other developers in the past, and to be honest I don't know how Avant are still in business

Avoid this company at all costs, brought a house from Avant homes last year and it’s been a disaster from the minute they took our reservation fee, 6 month delay on the house completion, no communication, rude clueless office staff who are not fit for the job. The house build its self is poor failed the NHBC audit four times, a make shift wooden banister had to be put over the windows because they built them too low, Avant took them down as soon as the house was signed off (Doesn’t sound legal) We’ve had shower trays over flowing because of blocked drains, garage flooding when it rains, fixed windows not installed properly so there are huge gaps letting in a draft, unable to lock front door, cheap not fit for purpose single radiators in all rooms barely keeping the house warm, upgrades we paid a fortune for not being in the house on completion had to fight to get them installed - the list goes on - this list doesn’t even scratch the surface of the pain avant homes have caused, honestly if you’re thinking of buying from these cowboys save your self months of heart ache, stress and expense and buy else where.

Houses are built by cowboys, appalling customer services, houses falling apart on the development.Some of my problems are the french doors not fitted correctly, had a leak thats ruined my kitchen roof due to the leak from the bathroom, i already have black mold which has covered the flooring in the upper bathroom and ruined all the sideboards, grass in the garden is all water logged and uneven, heating and insulation is appalling and is constantly freezing and draughts from all windows and doors. Had issues with flooring in bathrooms and kitchen.(most people have had these or even worse problems within their homes and nothing seems to be done).

Think twice before buying with avant do the research on this terrible company.its been a stressful headache tbh right from buying to now.i have had it with them.customer service is hard work.my 2 years recently finished, iv only had half of the defects to property done.The bigger more eye soaring more important ones were disregarded from avant. nhbc wont touch them either,or taking so long on some matters (2 years on going having to battle my case with them) i have had plumbing issues all through the winter 2022,not just one plumbing issue buts loads here there and everywhere. iv had to remove parts the ceilings and floors to find and solve whats actually happening, avant could not provide any plumbing routes information for my style of house we bought.100% second rate service, outside the house looks ok and inside is a nightmare.i need to replace ceilings floors skirting and pipework,lived without heating.the face book page alone says it all about this company.everyone saying the same thing. Dont Buy.

Avant Homes Highstonehall Scotland -Very Poor 0/5no communication after sales is completedthey dont answer emails or phone callsi left several voicemails emails over 3 months with zero communication back from avant.i was then told as a customer that i have been harassing staff via calling too many times and was told not to call again,email only which left us very frustrated after being promised a timescale to fix snags then after 3 months i got through to complaints to a very cheeky member of staff who didnt care,all emails and phone calls by ourselves have been professional .i then realised that our snag file had been marked down as completed even though no snags have been fixed.No avant will not communicate even while under contract.its unrealno snags resolved Loads of issues with our home which we have been left with to fix by ourselvesstaff are cheeky they wont commit to fixing anythingthey wont share our snag file with us only that isbeen marked down as completed???? tis has been a member of staff that took a dislike clearly and has done this.the complaint process doesn't work you will be corneredwhole site inc fences garden areas,child play ares,are unfinished.the roads are in terrible state

Don't waste your time buying from these guys, once a great company sadly now nothing like its former self. Once they have your money you will be lucky to actually get the works done which they left behind, damages everywhere and no end in sight. I would like to give special mention to the worst plumbing contractor I have come across DPH based in Lincoln, all I can say is minus -5star. If you like sinking gardens, no responsibility and health and safety breaches buy from Avant

One look on LinkedIn tells you all you need to know about how this company is now being run, rats deserting a sinking ship comes to mind, the amount of good staff this company has lost in the last 12-24 months is astounding and this has led to a poor company left.Poor quality customer service, been waiting almost 3 months for a reply to an email, extreme mould in my house due to wrong products used by their site team. Estate left half finished due to appallingly poor management from Avant Homes. I have bought four new build properties before and by a country mile Avant is the worst. Customer Service don't even answer the phone. If you want a positive experience try Bellway or Barratt but avoid the crap that Avant are now churning out. Their "five star" builder status wont last long!

Only upon completing did the Sales Team for our site inform us that houses are taking 16-18 months to complete (and its now the norm post-covid). Over 3 months since moving in and there are still several extras we paid for in full, which haven't been delivered. Made a formal complaint and no one has resolved the issue, or provided an explanation, over 52 days later. This is a breach of contract. Avant staff are hard to get a hold of and they all will tell you personally that they're short staffed. The company has failed them and this is the standard now, as I'm still being told this because not enough people are hired and there's such a high workload, so why would they stay?

Good afternoon,I am contacting you as I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of response I have had from Avant about multiple issues. Currently, the front of my house is not watertight, and there is water ingress whenever it rains due to the lead flashing being damaged. We have asked for this to be replaced since we moved into the property on 28 Feb 2022, and have been continually palmed off. Our plasterboard, skirting and carpets in the living room are all now damaged due to the lack of action by Avant. We asked the site managers, Alec and Jimmy, to come to our house to discuss this last week. No one arrived. Someone re-sealed the upstairs windows, but after further rain, there is still water ingress at the damaged flashing which we report almost a whole year ago. I texted Jimmy and Alec again this morning asking them to come to our property to discuss all outstanding issues, but this has been ignored. I am furious. I want my snagging to be prioritised and my house made watertight, or I will be taking this to NHBC and my local MP/MSP. It is simply unacceptable to spend £369,995 on a house in Scotland and have it not be watertight for a whole year! I have attempted to attach a file showing outstanding snagging as per my e-mail on 13 January 2023 but could not. No response has been had to this e-mail. I have been raising these same issues consistently since 28 Feburary 2022, and e-mailed multiple persons and e-mail addresses in June 2022, September 2022, November 2022, and January 2023. No-one is responding.It is not good enough to simply try to tidy up the flashing, the entire tray needs to be removed and replaced. I do not care if this is "a lot of work" or "disruptive" - my living room is currently off limits as we've had to pull the carpet up to avoid further water damage - that is already disruptive! In addition, water is still coming under my front door despite a seal being added, and the door is extremely difficult to lock - which is a potential safety issue.I want someone to come to my property by the end of 10 February 2023 and tell me how each item on my list is going to be repaired, by whom and by what date. Anything else is unacceptable. We have been extremely patient and understanding, but I am at the end of my tether now - I want my house fixed ASAP, and not for houses that are yet to be built being the priority. My neighbour had threatened to put a banner up exposing how bad Avant are at responding to issues with his home and to be honest we are feeling that is the only way to get a timely response. Your complaints form is not working on your website. Please forward to the relevant department as a priority. Thank you.

Not bought an Avant home as I so rarely see any newbuilds I would happily live in.....until I saw pics of Woodland Walk, Huddersfield. They look superb and spacious. Lack of space being my chief bugbear about new builds in the UK. Looks like a homebuilder is finally thinking hard about the family. Look forward to seeing the finished product first hand...and who knows?
