The Trinity Fields staff at Retford are amazing. Carla dealt with us at first and helped us reserve our new home as she knew how much we wanted it. Today (3rd June) we went to the site to see the progress on our house and spoke with Nadia who is so lovely, she gave us some more helpful information and told us to come and visit whenever we want which is really kind (we’ll definitely be there every week)!!

Yet again we have another “sink hole” issue upon the entry to our development which is now 5yrs old. We still have no roads, the East Riding Council will not sign the development off because we are quite literally “the forgotten development”. Godwin Vale Stamford Bridge York. An exclusive area, high cost housing but cheap experiences and poor customer service. To say that we are deflated, demoralised and now defeated is an understatement Avant, you win! If by some miracle we could ever secure a sale here we would be out in a heartbeat. But why subject another family to the four years we have endured. DISGRACEFUL COMPANY!!!!!By all means contact me, again for another report. We have enough images over the years and are taking this to the York Press as well as the Council. You should be banned from operating any further developments until you rectify the ones you have left behind unfinished.

Deposit paid March 2021, exchange July 2021, at this point my move in date was January 2022 after already being put back by 5 months. I am still not in my house May 2023. Tony Clarke the construction Director just does not ring or give me any time scale for anything. Richard Hosie The Managing Director feels they are doing a good job. This company is an embarrassment. Customer Service is not in their vocabulary!!!!! I am at my wits end!!! Something needs to be done with this company, it is immoral!!

Dont fill out your nhbc survey until all the work in your avant home ha been done. Because i can almost certainly assure it the work (snags) will not get completely by avant homes. no customer service what so ever!!its not surprising to see avant home with only 2.7 star rating on here.IF YOU LOOK AT THE FIVE STAR REVIEWS FOR AVANT YOU WILL SEE THERE JUST MADE UP TO COUNTER BALANCE THE STAR RATING FROM BEING 0.THE FIVE STAR REVIEWS MOSTLY STATE THEY ONLY ASKED SOMEONE A QUESTION AND AVANT ANSWERED IN THEM WITH LOADS OF INFORMATION.THEN APPARENTLY TAHT PERSON LEAVES A FIVE STAR REVIEW.ITS LAUGHABLE.THERE ONLY THERE TO HIDE THE FACT IF THEY DIDNT HAV SOME FIVE STAR REVIEWS AVANT HOMES WOULD BE A BIG FAT 0 STAR COMPANY.

why wont avant help or fix my house??buying the house with great deal of remorse now.from the outside looks fine buts its not.everything is a shambles top to bottom with avant home builders. Feel like i have been deserted, so disappointed.originally paid £1400 for extras which i am still waiting on. i have been in my home just over one year??? avant seems to have disregarded these extras to me and i paid cash for these extras.no answer from avant after a manifold of email and phone calls asking when my extras will be fitted. im looking at 60 days for any email response which is not progressive in any way shape or form.my Velux windows are not installed correctly which already i have water staining marks around the Velux window gyproc sheets this gets worse after few days of rain each time.avant are not answering me and when they do it is a short email reply thanking me for my email live in hope that the situation will progress and is being processed by the company but then when i call avant its a disappointing conversation saying i will be emailed about the problem. which never comes.i have tonnes more problems than my extras and Velux window the house as a whole is untidy with problems here there and everywhere.my garden is a mess unfinished grass areas which is left as muck and grass is thin mucky and soggy all the time .my beige stone slabs are wonky. my side gate doesn't open any more as post has fallen away from wall.my house is cold and draughty, my garage door doesn't close unless shoved in at corner then locked its a nightmare i don't use because of this.i have had to fill and sand many screw holes all over the gyproc from ceiling lights being installed in wrong place then avant moved them so left the holes.my white doors have small damages on them,my bathroom have wonky tiles, plus one sink basin is not siliconed to the wall.still waiting on my 1.8 meter fence being fitted and its into second summer season now with no fence between me and neighbours garden. my problems with my home go on and on with no response from avant homes.i could of bought another house with less work needing dine to it but i entrusted avant building me my home it looked great at first but now i remorse myself for buying with avant. so many bad reviews about this company i wish i had only seen them before buying now im stuck with this shambles. i will be back with a updated review in a while to see if avant change change their mind with this disorder.

Don't expect any customer service once you move in as it's non-existent. Almost in our house 2 years & still chasing them via phone & email with no response to our snagging list items they've yet to rectify, some highlighted during move in. Only care about selling you the house, once they have that money they wash their hands of you regardless of how poorly built the house is. Disgraceful company. Best advice I can give is don't purchase from them. They totally ruin what should be a happy experience with all the stress & time involved trying to fix all the problems they don't want to acknowledge.

Numerous avant homes sites left unfinished scattered all over the uk to date. A high volume of customers across the uk filing documented complaints directed at their own homes in regards to AVANT HOMES avoiding to provide proper build quality control & escaping their duty to put right or settle any claims to home buyers as initially agreed in the Avant 24 month buyers guarantee.

HOW HE COULD OF CARELESSLY DONE THIS IS BEYOND ME SERIOUSLY THE GOUGE HAS BEEN DONE WITH HARD FORCE,THE WEIGHT OF THE SLASHNACK IS LIGHT SO HOW THIS HAPPENED I DONT KNOW.THE GUY WAS SMILING GRINNING TO US EXPLAING IT WOULD BE REPAIRED WHICH WAS UNBEILEVABLE .NOT ONE BIT OF REMORSE OR SORRY FROM HIM, I FEEL IT WAS DONE ON PURPOSE.AFTER ALL THIS FUSS MY BRAND NEW WORKTOP IS NOW DAMAGED WITH A 2 INCH DEEP SCRATCH.I HAVE CALLED AVANT THE SAME DAY AND AVANT TOLD ME THEY WOULD ONLY REPAIR THE GOUGE WITH A PLASTIC SURGEON NOT A NEW WORKTOP.MY HUSBAND CALLED AVANT BACK ON THE SECOND WEEK TO DISCUSS THE DAMAGE AND AVANT SAY ITS NOT TEHRE FAULT AND A PLASTIC SURGEON WILL BE SUPPLIED,MY HUSBAND EXPLAINED TO AVANTTHE GOUGE IS SO DEEP IT WOULDNT WORK WITH A TOUCH UP FOR A NEW KITCHEN.I ASKED FOR THE COMPAY AVANT SUPPLIED TO DO THE WORK AND AVANT WILL NOT GIVE THE DETAILS OF THE COMPANY? THIS IS A DISGRACE. THIS ISNT THE FIRST EITHER AVANT HAVE BEEN RELENTLESS WITH DAMAGES, THE COMMUICATON IS VERY POOR TAKES WEEKS FOR EMAIL REPLY AND WE GET NO WHERE WITH THEM.I NOW HAVE A NEW HOUSE WITH PLASTIC SURGEON REPAIRS ALL OVER IT AS AVANT WILL NOT REPLACE DAMAGED WORK.

AN EXPEREIENCE FROM AVANT HOMES FAMOUSLY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER CUSTOMER.OMG!just recently got my avant house this month april 2023.the design of the house is what i wanted but the level of quality i am speechless at..infact im shocked and upset how poor it is for a new build. i called the after care service ANGELA HENDRIE took my call and instantly noticed i am not talking to a professional employee and not a nice person in the whole of things. she wouldn't let me explain anything and asked her colleague if she wanted half her kit kat biscuit during the call then had a giggle then spoke over me while i was talking and said look this is simple put a complaint in on the website.so left the call and wrote a complaint on the avant website..i got an email back from surprisingly Angela the same day from my complaint saying sorry you feel this way i advise you speak to nhbc about the problems and that the house had already passed a quality control on site.

Would give it 0 if it let meNever buy a home from these cowboys. 3 years of them doing road works on our estate (babington quarter Derbyshire) and I have had 3 nails in my tyres in this period of timeToday, I have a popped tyre from a raised water drain which had no cone over it, and no letter from P Hughes (who are also shocking) or avant to say there will be raised drains. Furious and will be claiming !

Within first month into my new avant home we realised a high number of issues to which we had only named half of them to avant as snags. I tried adding more snags on but avant have been extreme hard work to speak with about the extra issues we found.I have had to take a week off work to paint the ground floor of the open plan house. Its been a dreadful week for me as i hate DIY and painting! i have had to remove all sockets, switches & mask up skirtings, kitchen units, my flooring the lot to paint the walls as avant only paint your new walls with a prime coat of white emulsion which after some time looks awful white chalky and not that white, we bought into Avant's exclusive white paint on the walls and i can say its 100% a marketing lie, its simply white crown emulsion paint i promise you this ! 1 whole week off work to get this sorted this has peed me well off.i didn't plan or expect to pay avant £320,000 to take days off my work to paint my bloody walls then clean it all the mess up. To add avant had fitted us a garage to hall door which they never came bk to paint,i had to fill, caulk, sand & paint the frame and architraves myself at my expense or i was living with a brown mdf finish door frame. avant has ben ignoring my emauls about this job for months now,i email them about the paint work to be done asking whats happening, and avant email me back saying thanks for your email kenny. that's it, same email over and over and that take 50 days to come in, lol angela head of customer services needs the boot shes useless and a major b**** she was on site not to long ago smoking a ciggie in car and flicked it out her car window onto the street where she sells houses. shes a vile person.

We bought a house from Avant site in Denny and moved in 3 weeks before lockdown. The sales and site staff have been excellent throughout an during these difficult times have been in regular contact. The house is as expected and built to a high standard. We have a few minor remedial items to be attended to but nothing major and can wait until lockdown measures ease.

Starts out a good experience, sales team we're very helpful and all was good until Avant got there money then it went down hill rapidly. Customer services are totally useless, there after care is extremely poor, constantly chasing them to rectify faults with the house which took us nearly two years to get sorted. But the major fault with the house they are refusing to sort which is the soakaway isn't big enough and my garden floods with the water that the soakaway can't cope with, they've been told no end of times by the professionals they get in that this is the issue but choose not to sort the problem.My advise would be don't bother putting yourself through all the stress and heartache and do not buy an Avant home.

Bought an Avant home when it was about 3 years old and absolutely love it. Avant arranged for a contractor to come and do some work on the pavements, the contractor smashed into the lighting bollard on my front garden. I contacted the contractor first and no response so contacted Avant who ignored me, made up excuses for not responding to any of my emails in their timescales and eventually said they couldn’t help because I hadn’t raised the “snag” within the first two years! Laughable that they clearly don’t know what snagging is and expected me to raise something within two years, when it hadn’t happened and I didn’t live in the house! Just unbelievable response from a company and I can’t believe a business can get away with behaving like this.

Disgraceful ! Our house is an absolute mess after 5 years. Please beware of their dirty tactics.This companies staff members have been found on Avant unhappy customers Facebook group & using tactics to belittle,already unhappy customers. Even though the statement for that group states “ no Avant staff are welcome on this group “. The unhappy customers are totally unhappy with how they have been treat, why would the company further goad these people.They will refuse to help you, just 1 day over the “2 year runaway from the customer period. Please please do not believe their glossy pictures. Find out off past customers 35% are totally unhappy & others have had terrible problems with this company! Worst decision we ever made. Disgraceful!

Its a real shame I can't give a 0 star review for Avant, as that's truly all they deserve. The sales process felt very rushed, and led down multiple rabbit holes regarding product specification and unrealistic completion dates (moved 4 months later than planned). Torneley Quarter currently resembles a swamp, with the building storage/compound looking an absolute shambles, with mud and materials strewn all over. Looks a disgrace.Unfortunately, the issues intensified following completion, due to the appalling build quality and lack of interest from after-sales/customer services. 6 months on, none of the major issues have been rectified. I have been passed through numerous coordinators, managers and site representatives, with little/no success. Major issues around plasterwork, bodged repairs, brickwork/pointing, damaged work surfaces and sinks (x2), damaged front door and frame, ill-fitting garage door due to poor workmanship of bricklayers, multiple ceiling defects have been reported multiple times, with no real progress.Multiple contractors/visiting trades have visited the house and sent reports back to Avant, but nothing is ever followed up. Many have commented on the poor finish and atrocious brickwork. It seems to be an endless cycle of issues, which I keep finding, the more time I spend at the property. In hindsight, I would've avoided Avant at all costs, as in recent years, they seem to have gone drastically down hill. Avoid at all costs.

From long delays in the building of our property, to the lack of communication in the delays (leading to very expensive hotels needed to bridge the gap in moving in), Avant have continuously been an awful company to deal with.It says a lot about a company when they have a high turn over of sales and support teams. We had 4 different sales contacts, each having less and less experience and understanding of the company and its processes.After sales support is non existent for us. Despite having 183 major snags (including a hole 40cm in the roof - only found because I am a drone pilot and took a camera onto the roof). Other snags include poorly installed flooring which bows 2cm in paces around the rooms, sockets not installed correctly with wires visible around the kitchen sink, guttering which angles away from the down pipe, and bathroom installations where the units aren’t installed or proofed correctly (including badly installed flooring).Despite following their complaints process, they have failed to follow their own guidance and have not yet (currently 6 months in) replied with a plan to rectify the issues - roof being a major one).The quality of the build is just enough in most parts to pass inspection, I don’t know how the roof passed. Walls out of square by 2-5 degrees, surface finishes with just a prime coat of paint and kitchens so badly designed and produced and using cheap parts, that the handles cut your fingers when using them (I smoothed them myself with abrasive paper, and on snagging day the actual lead builder and the snagging team wanted to know how I’d done it to apply to the other kitchens on the estate! - a widely known issue!)
