Wow! above and beyond.

I have used the Wilmslow branch for both Buying and renting properties before, always receiving a highly professional Service, however my last transaction, a property sale, needs special mention. This transaction turned out to be both extremely complicated and extraordinarily long, taking many months to finally get over the line. Through the whole process Guy and his team, especially Richard, who went above and beyond to get the deal completed. Without him, I can honestly say, I'd have closed the whole transaction down. What a fantastic service and I can whole heartedly recommend them to anyone looking to buy, sell or rent a property in and around Wilmslow. A top notch company.

A team that keeps on top of things

Richard and team at JF Wilmslow did a great job for us from start to finish. We contacted them on a Tuesday, by Thursday the house was up on Rightmove with full description, floorplan and photos. By the following Monday we had a number of offers on or above the asking price. As the sale progressed (we were on a tight timescale) Richard continually liaised with the various parties involved and moved them along where necessary. We were appraised of the situation all through the process. There is no doubt we would not have made our deadline without Richard's expertise and continuing input,

Professional agent that gets results

We tried using an online agent before handing the reins to Tom and the team at JF Hale after our initial sale stalled. The difference was as stark as night & day, in our experience a good high street agent wins hands down given that 1) JF got the transaction over the line in double quick time, 2) JF achieved a better price, 3) Tom and the team followed up, chased and harried the process to completion - exactly what the online agents didn't do........ Unethical - a warning to renters

I rented a flat from Jordan Fishwick, who managed it for the owner. “Managing” involved turning a blind-eye to the fly-tipping in communal areas. I left the flat spotless, after years of managing to wheel the huge shared bins out to the street for collection every week. Before moving I phoned Jordan Fishwick twice to seek assurance that my deposit would be returned, and give them opportunity to inspect. They assured me that I had nothing to worry about. I raised my concerns about the communal areas. Not a problem, they said. A month later … I’m desperate for my deposit to be returned. No phone call, just a text: “The landlord is keeping £160 of your deposit to pay for the removal of litter in communal areas". No way to contact them. It’s Christmas Eve. Their Twitter is full of glad-tidings and self-congratulation. It takes months of arbitration and evidence for the Deposit Protection Scheme to get my deposit back. They have never apologised. I took to Twitter and Youtube to share my experience. They blocked me.

It's been almost two months

It's been almost two months, and I'm still waiting for my deposit back. I wouldn't be so bothered if they communicated, but they can take some time just to email back. It's just a worry as I'm trying to move into my next property, and to do that, I need my deposit back from the previous place. It's just delayed my whole move-in date by months.

Great experience as a tenant

Took over the property I was renting and it was very smooth. Prompt responses any time I needed help, were there for me when I was having severe health issues. Got full deposit back with no quibbles, having just cleaned the place myself. Gutted I had to leave my property and responsive agents. Gotta mention Joely Brooks being my main contact, always very responsive, very sympathetic when I was going through a bad time. Wish I'd been able to rent my new place with them.

Since the day I received the key

Since the day I received the key, I've felt as if I've been robbed. When I entered the house, I immediately noticed that there were serious issues in many areas. However, my emails went ignored. If I have to express my feelings, it's truly terrible, so bad that I don’t even want to say more. It's ridiculous that your company's accountants have repeatedly made mistakes with the simplest addition and subtraction. Furthermore, one of your employees replied to my email, saying that if it weren't for them, I wouldn't even get the remaining deposit back. This is truly laughable. Aren't you supposed to act according to the owner's instructions? The owner is willing to refund the deposit to me; it's their choice. You’re merely acting on the owner's directions. I don't understand why your employees would take credit for this. Even though I'm not a local, that shouldn't be a reason to take advantage of us.

As a one property landlord, Jordan Fishwick's chosen contractors will often and repeatedly overcharge on parts and labour for repairs. Often this can be over twice the price of the parts when viewed online.

Only care about landlords, not tenants

Jordan Fishwick were unprofessional and tenant-unfriendly from the start. After applying, it took over two weeks, and a second application, just to get a viewing. When we finally viewed the property, the agent clearly wasn’t interested. No proper tour, no answers to our questions, and they wouldn’t even open the back door so we could view the garden.
