FacebookExcellent company, couldn’t fault them at all, very pleased from start to finish. Very professional staff, big thanks to Rafiq for valuing my property and thoroughly explaining the process, also a big thanks to Jess who dealt with the majority of high number of calls regarding the viewings, I’m sure she was sick of hearing my voice by the end of it lol.
On the whole I was very satisfied with the service and will be using them again in the near future . I’d also recommend people pay that little bit extra for professional photos that they offer. I put a lot of time effort and money into renovating the property and the photos certainly did it justice ��

Even on this occasion two buyers backed out of the sale but Rafiq managed to push a quick sale through with an investor, who was happy to take the property off my hands.

GoogleGreat 'first class' service! Rafiq went through all that was required, and made sure my wife and I were aware of the process, likely timescales, potential headaches, and so on. Then both he and Jess kept us up to date throughout - regular phone calls, emails, etc. They made the whole 'house moving' process a lot less stressful than it could have been. We're so pleased that it all went smoothly, and quite quickly. If we should ever choose to move again (doubtful! - or at least not for a very very long time!!) then we wouldn't hesitate using Whitegates again. And we would certainly recommend the Dewsbury Branch to anyone who we hear are planning to sell, or even looking to buy. :)

I approached Whitegates when I was ready to sell my property. They are local estate agents and know the market well with experienced staff. Also the company has been in the business for well over 50 years and maybe more in my memory. Ahmed did the initial valuation and got the marketing process in place. They handled all the viewing with organised appointments and kept me informed of the potential offers and any comments about the property. Lisa in the office was also very helpful and professional in handling any queries from buyers. Eventually they found the right buyer who offered the expected price. GoogleMyself and my partner moved into a cottage which we rented for a year. Never bad tenants. Reports of a leaking shower through the roof and other issues were reported and were not fixed. I am 8 months pregnant and we had paid for half of the rent for the final month of June. A female estate agent shouted rudely at us to clean the property long before the end of the tenancy agreement and has not even communicated a date to return the keys until we asked . And then suddenly demands them back because the landlord wants to carry out repairs after we leave so the selfish man can rent the property out again. Which he should have completed when we were in the property. The landlord broke the contract on multiple occasions such as turning up at the property without giving notice and also with his son. He did not know how to communicate.
They also could not wait one weekend for us to move out of the property and to organise a clean up . She then threatened to take it out of my bond /deposit.
Rude people with an awful attitude on the phone.
I will be reporting to the council and never use them again. I will keep photographic evidence of the repair work that was not completed If they try to threaten us further .

Charged £2000 upon leaving for issues that had been mentioned to them on arrival into the property.Complained of loss of income and tried to get us to pay for this even threatening us with court even though we had given them advanced notice and they had accepted.Only stopped bothering us when a family member who heard them in the background who knows what's what stood up to them and surprisingly all their threats of legal action fizzled away to nothing.Disgusting.
