Southgates have been a fantastic managing agent for the flat we have been renting over the last year. The initial process of obtaining the flat was straightforward, as was moving out, with Southgates being flexible and supportive during the process. Staff were friendly and helpful, communicating regularly and working to resolve issues promptly. Would recommend to anyone looking to rent in Exeter.

Southgate Estates recently sold my property in Taunton. I was extremely impressed and the whole process was refreshing! The year before I tried to sell my property with a well known national high street firm and it was the most frustrating experience. It took over a month to get the property on the market. They initially over-valued the property, and then recommended a reduction after a month. The large number of potential buyers on their database didn’t exist, or at least didn’t want to view the property. I liked the branch manager who valued the property, but the couple of viewings they did arrange were done by a new employee fresh out of school, who was late on every occasion. When I didn’t think this could get any worse, I remembered I had signed up to a long term contract. My experience with Southgate Estates could not have been more different. Ryan was enthusiastic and genuinely interested in my house. He understood the reasons why I bought the house initially and was completely upfront about the reasons why some people might be put off. We discussed his valuation and I felt confident that it was going on the market at a fair and realistic asking price. Sophie took some excellent photos and it was on the market within a week. She also made a few suggestions on how to leave the house ready for viewings. We had more viewings in the first week than we did in a year with the previous estate agent. The property was sold within a month and completed shortly after. Ryan recommended an excellent solicitor and we were regularly updated throughout the entire process. I would definitely sell again with Southgate Estates and I would also feel confident buying from them. This is a very efficient, trustworthy and ethical estate agent - if only there were more companies like this one in this industry!

Hands down the most knowledgeable and trustworthy estate agent I've ever dealt with. These guys truly do work for their customers, the vendor. I've not come across another agent who will fight to get me the best price possible and not just settle for the first offer that comes in. Saleboards are both professional and approachable, offering a fantastic service across the board. Myself and my partner, both young and first time buyers recently bought our perfect house through Saleboards. As both of us were completely clueless about buying a house, Saleboards could not have been more friendly and helpful towards us. Firstly, when we first enquired about the house, they were very friendly and patient with our silly questions. They e-mailed back very quickly and efficiently and were always at the end of the phone when we needed them or had any concerns. When we arrived at our first viewing of the house, we were greeted by Ryan Bennett who had a giant smile on his face and was great at making us feel welcome. He gave us plenty of time to look around and was very knowledgeable, answering many of our questions before we'd even asked them. We looked at several houses with several different estate agents and most of them made us feel rushed and unwelcome so really liked his attitude right from the start. We viewed the house 3 times in all and each time he was great. During the actual buying process, things became a bit scary for us but Ryan was always only a phone call away to settle any first time buying nerves. He kept up great communication between ourselves and the vendor and always updated us as soon as new information arose so we knew exactly where we stood. He had recommendations, names and numbers for everything from good solicitors to the best electricians and even a wood burner installer. Anything that came up in the survey, he had a number for someone to fix it. Even during and after completion, Ryan and his team are more than willing to help out and answer any questions we may have. Overall, they couldn't have made the whole experience any easier for us. Will definitely use Saleboards again in the future and highly recommend them to others.

Has to be the warmest welcome I've received from an Estate Agent. They were highly efficient at collating the information I required in order to carry out a valuation of a property and were quick to offer me a coffee and chocolates to start my day - all with smiley faces. As an ex agent I'd recommend Southgate Estates as efficiency and a friendly atmosphere can sometimes be the difference between selling and messing up a sale!
