I didn't end up finding a property through Martin and Co, but my experience with them was very good - I worked with a young woman named Charlotte who was very good at explaining the different steps of the process to me and helping me to understand what needed to be done (I am only 18 and this is my first experience in letting). Additionally, when my potential landlord let me down (through no fault of the company) I was able to speak to the manager who was very apologetic and then Charlotte continued to help me look at other places. Overall, my experience with Martin and Co (Westbury) was very positive.

My experience so far with Martin and Co has been great! Liam has helped us in finding accommodation after very little help from other letting agents around Falmouth. After viewing a few properties with them they did not give up in helping us to find a home. They are polite, attentive and hardworking. They also have a website in which you can sign into your personal account to see all the information about your tenancy which is super helpful. We are looking forward to moving into our new home with thanks to Martin And Co.

Having looked for a property for nearly 8 months, I had come to loath interacting with eattae agents. Martin and Co was a breathe of fresh air, specifically Claire in the Tamworth office, who was exceptional. They are the worst letting agency I come across in the UK, they won’t respond to any complaint for months , we need to do multiple follow ups for any work to be done, they won’t bother about tenants issues / problems with the ongoing maintenance issues in the flat. I definitely never recommend to anyone to go with this agency.

GoogleIt’s glad to meet Alice and Emy from Martin and Co Exeter. We successfully rent a house in Exeter within a month. Their response and help impressed me a lot. I’m now living in the house for 2 weeks. Except some billing issues and the grassless backyard are still on hold, the equipment and facilities are good at all. I wish they can keep caring their tenants in the future.

Absolutely useless, phoned Friday and Saturday and was informed lettings would call me back, it’s not the first time it’s happened with this company either, called them since 9 this morning and nothing, how can you call yourself an estate agent is laughable

GoogleAwful service throughout tenancy & beyond. Property owners & tenants avoid if possible, they will not respond to emails requesting essentials like enough bins for the amount of flats in a building, if a room is extremely damp & mouldy they will pass off your upset about your furniture and belongings being ruined by trying to increase your rent in a global pandemic when most people are struggling to even pay their bills (whilst claiming the landlord has asked for the increase, of which after checking they knew nothing about). Furthermore, when you end the tenancy they will ignore your request for a reference (a simple click of a button) the office main contact is rude, inexperienced and extremely unhelpful. To top it all off, I would suggest you don’t put too much effort into cleaning as they will allow builders into the property prior to inspection and assess how clean it is with tools, dust and other equipment throughout; consequently leading to a lot of deposit deductions. An awful organisation, I can only hope some higher management at Martin & Co see this review & take action.

GoogleI've recently rented a flat through Martin & Co and the whole experience has been absolutely great. Communication was always prompt and the team showed great availability in answering questions. Everything for the tenancy was well organized and planned. On the day of collecting the keys all documents were organized and ready for me to collect. I was even gifted a move in gift box and bottle of wine as an extra treat - very friendly team, so far can't fault.

We rented a property through Martin and Co. Would never do so again. Despite problems with the property we didn't create a fuss and made the best of it. On leaving we left the property spotless but were charged for several hours of cleaning including cleaning of grout in the bathroom shower. Sure that was in the contract. But it really amounts to abuse of tennants and profiteering.At one point we were asked to allow the entry of a plumber to inspect the boiler. My wife came home early only to find the plumber in our bedroom, which was odd given the boiler was in the kitchen. The following week I noticed my passport was missing. It never turned up even upon leaving the property 3 months later. Martin and Co were rude and patronising on informing them about the missing passport, they couldn't understand why someone might take a passport. "Identify theft" clearly wasn't something they'd heard of. Disgraceful company. Avoid.

I would not be writing a negative review unless I thought it was necessary. If you are letting a property beware. It’s a shame I have to write this review because the initial move-in went quite smoothly. So for the first 8 weeks (throughout winter) the heating didn’t work. After many weeks, approximately 8. Of back and forth emails and telephone calls and going into there office to complain it eventually got done.So since leaving the property and trying to get my deposit returned, there have been a few discrepancies. Though firstly I would like to add that I had a tv on the wall, so had filled the wall holes with filler, though I never got round to painting over the small area. Though I have been told that I have to pay £300 for this to be painted, and the bathroom ceiling because of condensation ! £50 to mow a 6x8 ft piece of lawn And £150 to have the property cleaned. All of which was done thoroughly before I left. Which I have receipts for steam cleaning the carpets and painting the white walls of the property, both by highly reputable businesses in Leamington to bring back to the exact standards what were met when I arrived.This is ongoing and I’m refusing to pay the costs I’ve been presented with. Be aware.
